Alexandra Knight is having the time of her life. Or at least, that's what she tells herself. After all, she has the best job in the world, a bunch of kids that adore her and a cute colleague that seems to have an interest in her...life can't get any better than this, right?
Maybe, not really.
When the past she's been trying to forget catches up with the present, hidden secrets are unwillingly revealed and old wounds are reopened, causing Alex to doubt everything she's led herself to believe in.
Follow Alex's story as she rediscovers the true meaning of love, friendship and heartbreak.
It’s been killing me how this book hasn’t been completed for YEARS. The story is so gripping and extremely well written.
_____ Update : 18th June 2026
I got my hands on the old version / original book, and I must say I was fairly impressed. I cannot believe a fairy tale first part could have such a brilliantly written reality check.
In my head, the book was very different. The plot (in the new book) was very different. But oh my lord was I pleasantly surprised. I’m so glad I got a chance to read it. I loved every minute of the book.
this book is not even finished and i read it a couple years ago but i still wanna cry just thinking about how life is so unfair for robin and alex. i mean they’re perfect for each other, why cant they just be happy???

Funny story ... Begin Again is the sequel to The Lonely king and the funny part is that I read the sequal first and loved it despite the fact that I didn't understand alot of stuff but still liked it and wrote a poem about it
