When she is caught spying on the alien empire which has conquered Earth, Freya is shipped off to a prison colony on the distant planet Tagra. Upon her arrival, she is subjected to a thorough, intimate medical examination intended to assess her response to sexual stimulation, and when she protests the humiliating procedure her bare bottom is soundly spanked.Marco takes his job as governor of Tagra seriously and he is well-known among the prisoners for his firm-handed discipline, but from the moment he first encounters Freya he cannot keep the feisty Earthling off his mind. After taking it upon himself to personally oversee her initial exam, he delights in bringing the naked, blushing human to one quivering climax after another.Though Marco quickly proves that he will not hesitate to punish Freya when she defies the rules of the colony, her burning backside does nothing to diminish her growing need for him to claim her and take her long and hard. She soon finds herself falling ever more deeply in love with the handsome, dominant alien who both demands her submission and brings her pleasure beyond anything she could have ever imagined, but can she dare to hope that Marco will one day see her as more than just his prisoner and his plaything?Publisher's Chosen by the Governor is a stand-alone novel which is the first entry in the Under Alien Law series. It includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.
Exploring the world of romantic kinky lifestyles has been a passion of Jaye Peaches. All her books contain an element of BDSM, spankings or erotic games of sensual exploration and show how loving and fulfilling such relationship can be to those involved. Sometimes dark, thrilling or playful, her stories entice the reader into an erotic playground and unearth the personalities that lie beneath. Visit jayepeaches.com to find out more about the author.
The Vendu have dominated the galaxy for centuries. Their modus operandi? Conquer, crush, punish, and take. But when they came to Earth decades ago, the war was brief. The Vendu could've destroyed Earth, yet they allowed it to survive nearly intact. Why? They demanded Australia as their command base. The Vendu and humans now live in a tense, semi-peaceful, state. What happened on Earth was unprecedented and not entirely welcomed by either side. It's here our story begins. Freya Caspari's visiting the Vendu, ostensibly as a journalist. But her motives are far deeper. When she's caught photographing Vendu terraforming technology, she's arrested, tried for military espionage, sentenced, and whisked off to Tagra, a Vendu penal colony. It's a life sentence. Unfair? Yes, but Vendu law is clear. When she arrives on Tagra, her nightmare begins. First, the humiliating physical exam at the hands of Vendu scientists allegedly interested only in cataloging alien traits. Is that really their purpose? She learns Tagra's a planet with two suns, no night, unbearable living conditions, gangs who rule with violence, rape, even murder. There's no intervention from the Vendu guards or governor. How can she fit in, much less survive? Marco's the new governor of Tagra. He's there to fix a prison gone wrong. But he soon runs smack into Freya, and the attraction between them is off the charts. The Vendu don't understand or believe in love, and he certainly never expected anything like this. But neither Marco nor Freya can deny what's between them. Marco's strong, disciplined, expects absolute obedience from all surrounding him. And he's got major problems to fix. But how? Past actions have all failed. As Freya struggles to survive, a violent incident threatens her, starting a chain of events that will change her life in ways she could never have imagined. Marco's uncompromising, unyielding ways rile Freya to extremes. When the volatility of the entire penal colony begins to take its toll, subterfuge and hidden agendas come to light. Freya's very existence is threatened. But it's not just Freya who's affected. Marco's fighting his own battles too. Can Marco save Freya? Can he even save himself? And what of the Vendu empire? There are forces at play and secrets of which no one is aware. It will take split-second timing, extreme planning, and hard-won trust to pull off what needs to be done. Can Freya and Marco do it? Do these two have a future? Or is all of Tagra, maybe the entire Vendu empire, doomed? Can anyone survive the forces arrayed against them all?
I love Jaye Peaches! Her books are exquisitely, beautifully written. Her concept of a penal colony in space is intriguing. The coexistence of not just one or two, but multiple, species in one location was fascinating. The story is original, inventive, and incredibly HOT! But Ms. Peaches also shows an innate understanding of human nature. I loved the ingenuity and creativity in creating Tagra, the Vendu people, and their empire. What really pulled me into this story was every aspect of the relationship between Freya and Marco. There's outright anger, disbelief, and non-acceptance by both. Marco's dominance is integral to the story. Freya's reactions to Marco are genuine and absolutely on point. But it's the bona fide connection between the two and the genuine emotions I felt with every interaction that captivated me and makes this story so very special. While not technically a BDSM novel, it does contain many BDSM elements, and it's a genre I love. Jaye Peaches has created an enchanting story! I give Chosen by the Governor my highest recommendation. Thank you, Ms. Peaches, for such a rare and exceptional reading experience.
One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, think hard before buying any book you know you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the author. She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an advance review copy.
I really love reading and I read everything. I refuse to give good reviews to bad books. I would rather not review a bad book (each person has their own likes and dislikes and I don't like hurting an author's ratings), unless it is truly awful.
Yes, this book has spankings, sex scenes, medical play, and some light of BDSM, but the overall story is what really captured my attention.
Earth has been invaded. A truce was made and the invaders were given land of their own. The rest of the planet is left to Earthlings but they are in need of the alien technology to survive. Enter Freya, who agrees to help try to acquire the needed tech. Of course, she is caught and railroaded and sent to a penal colony. Enter Marco, the Governor. He is trying to improve conditions at the colony and she is just wants to do what is right and humane. He tries to save her from herself and her errors in judgment.
The story is engrossing and I could not put is down. This book has more story than sex scenes (I really like story more than sex scenes). The story wraps up pretty nicely (though not totally wrapped). If I had read this book through my Kindle Unlimited, I would have purchased it as a keeper.
Meh. I only gave this a try because it would not get out of the recommendations from my Kindle app. It was too pricey for a trial book and I regret purchasing it. It kind of started out good though even though heavily focused spanking/master-slave themes aren't my favorite. It did have a couple hot sexy scenes I enjoyed but around the 30% mark, it started taking a turn that I just wasn't into. The Chick became extremely annoying. I was not enjoying the setting of the book, it was just too fucking depressing no matter which choice the Chick made. So, I DNF'd at 34%.
As a side note; I don't think the author's pseudonym is doing her any favors. Cover is hot, though:)
IT WAS A GAMBLE—BUT THAT’S WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT SOMETIMES
The story is the first in a series, Under Alien Law, but each story reads as a stand-alone. The Vendu will attack and conquer planets, like Earth. They have made treaties with Earth and have divided up the continents, with the Vendu taking over Australia. Freya Caspari will go to Australia posing as a reporter, and will be caught taking pictures, a crime, but accused and sentenced as a military spy, and given a life sentence on a harsh alien planet, Tagra. She will become “Prisoner sixty-two, one.”
The plot will have Freya transported to Tagra in stasis and shortly before arrival on the planet, removed, cleaned up and fed. She will be allowed to sit and look out a window where another passenger will approach her, and they will chat. Arriving on the planet, she will undergo an extensive and humiliating medical exam, all protocol for all new prisoners.
Marco is the new governor of Tagra and will meet and speak to Freya during the final part of the flight to the penal colony planet. This prisoner should not affect him the way she does, she is an earthling, but there is more about her that he finds intriguing. “He was resolved. He had to remain firm and consistent. It was the mainstay of his leadership technique—don’t deviate from a decision.”
While Marco plans to clean up some issues among the prisoners, especially the troublemaking groups, he will once again encounter Freya, and this time have her taken to his office for punishment. He will then offer her a new position, as his Jenjin, a pleasure slave. “You would be the source of all my happiness and pleasure.” She is still a prisoner, but will now live in the Volta under the watchful eye of Lalita.
Life in the Volta will include lessons in servitude to Marco. When she doesn’t behave properly, it will be reported to him and punishment issued. “Your submission is key to my pleasure, don’t forget that. However, from now on, I don’t want to feel any resistance from you, no hesitation, no questioning. My demands are simple, Freya—do as I ask and do it without fear.”
The story is intense and a lesson in change for both Marco and Freya. He will learn more about earthlings, love, and she will learn about submission and acceptance. Together, they develop a unique bond that defies what they both always have believed. “Marco had realized what love truly was—an unbroken connection to Freya and even if she was a prisoner, he would maintain that bond regardless of protocols. He’d lived his life by rules, obey them without question, and disciplined others who failed them. If love was able to change him, it could work its magic on others too.” “If she’d written a play describing the dominance of an unyielding governor over his captive prisoner, spanking her, directing her with cool commands, nobody would believe it was her wish to bend to his demands.”
The story has angst, anger, acceptance, new beginnings, secrets, lies, friendships, loyalties, breaking the rules and accepting punishments, along with dominance, submission, and mystery. It is a beautiful love story with plenty of spanking scenes, medical play, that includes intense and explicit sex scenes.
ARC received for an honest review. Resistance is Futile! Spank✋, Spank✋, Spank✋! This book has big huge, baaaad Naaasssty🐺🍌🌋✋ Alpha Alien men who prefer spanking✋ human women's bottoms as a form of punishment, among other things. The new Vendu Governor👑 of the penal colony is the Warrior, Marco🐺🍌🌋✋🔫🔪, and he meets his only human prisoner, the reporter turned spy, Freya💋, on board the space transport taking them both to the prison planet. Marco🐺🍌🌋✋ takes a decided interest in her, and only lets her work a few days in the heat of the laundry, before rescuing her from a rape attempt. He wants to spank✋ her hard of course, for getting into trouble, but he also is fascinated by her body. He wants her for his own, His very own Human playtoy💋💃. He takes her inside the temperature moderated dome where the Vendu live while they terraform the baking hot desert🌵 planet. The prisoners must live and work outside in the tremendous heat, doing all the manual labor to produce goods which are sold or used elsewhere. The Vendu🐺🔫🔪 are a conquering race, capturing one planet after another, and 🌎Earth is just one of many. Freya💋 is capturing Marco's heart, can she make a difference in his life? YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍌, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
Loved the book, but is a bit darker than most Alpha Alien sci-fi erotic fantasies. Corporal punishment✋ is meted out often, and Marco likes his sex around the world! 🌎
If a person is going to get caught spying and end up in an dark and dangerous prison—flashbacks of Prison Break—the alien governor Marco is the man you want to rescue you and make you his personal little jenjin, which is well, a sort of concubine. ;)
I completely enjoyed the chemistry between these characters. Freya’s feisty and brave. He’s passionate, honorable, and firm. Spankings, submission, and a other sexy kinks are frequent offerings of this well-imagined world.
There’s also some great conflict that really struck a chord with me. Jaye Peaches is such a talented story-teller. By the way, there’s a tattoo that’s worthy of a Harry Potter novel! Loved the story and all the little details! Looking forward to more!
Humiliation and D/s themes are not my thing. But, I liked the blurb and decided to give this book a chance. So, yes, this is definitely a good book! The story is engaging, fast-paced, easy to read, full of action, drama, suspense, angst, spankings, s*x and, of course, discipline. I really liked both characters. For once, the dominant alien actually gives a sh*t about his slave/pet and really got himself thinking about love. The h might be a slave but has a backbone. I skipped several spanking scenes and similar elements, but the book is very well-written, I think I'll read the rest of the series as well!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Freya was arrested as a spy and accused of taking military secrets from the Vendu, a race of aliens which invaded the Earth. For her crimes, she's sentenced to life imprisonment on the penal planet, Targa.
Marcos is the incoming governor of Targa. The moment he sees Freya on the transport he is taken with her and knows he has to have her.
After some bumps in the road, the two of them figure out a way that they can maybe be happy. Will it work?
Great story. The love scenes are super hot. The spankings scenes are too. This is definitely an adult book, and if spankings bother you, you should pass on it.
Lady you do know how to write a keep ones attention your books are addicting I read this book in one day in a half would have read it in one but at some point I had to eat and take myself to bed perfect bravo awesome never thought a book in this time zone was for me for you sure have my attention love it. Now I’m off to your library once again but since I have to work tomorrow we’ll I hold out until Wednesday when I’m on vacation to read. DH from New York City 4/1/2019
Jaye Peaches delivered a romantic, engaging and sexy tale. I loved the way the relationship developed between the main characters. There was plenty of spice to heat up the reader along the way. I found myself completely immersed in the experience. This story is full of amusing and sassy dialogue and hot sweaty intimacy that will turn your cheeks red!! I love stories with true entertainment and romance and this story certainly has it all!
This is my first sci-fi romance and I have to say...it was okay. At only 16 chapters, I honestly wasn't expecting much so I'm not terribly disappointed. The plot is interesting and the characters were likable enough. I did like that the author gave Freya an actual personality. I think the sci-fi part of the story was much more interesting than the romantic part, lol. Overall, it was cute, quick read.
Human females are a contrary lot. Rules are meant to be broken, but not when made by aliens and expected to be followed. Submissiveness, totally goes beyond most of our comprehension. Landing on an alien planet as a convict and then having no hope for redemption would be challenging for most of us. Becoming a jenjin for the governor brings along a different set of challenges fir this human female, but we are a rexourceful race!
I got this story in exchange for a voluntary review. Freya Caspari was sentenced to live on the Vendu prison planet Tagra. There she meets Governor Marcus. He decides she will be his jenjin. The characters felt real and the situation dire. The author created a great world peopled with believable aliens. I loved the whole idea.
Under Alien Law... When Freya is caught spying on the Vendu, she is shipped off to a brutal penal colony to serve out a life sentence. On the way to the prison she catches the eye of Marco, the planets new Governor, who claims Freya as his own... I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily
Interesting read that will keep you entertained and coming back for more. If you're interested in some amazing characters that will definitely keep you guessing what happens next then you just have to try out this book!
I thoroughly enjoyed this interesting and unique take Kate Peaches has written in her story! It's a story with lots of twists and turns in an alien invasion of earth . Underneath it all is a burning love story that rises above all odds.
Thank you for the wonderful story! I read this with much tripitation. I didn't care for the constant spankings she received, but all in all it was a very great story.
Chosen by the Governor – wow what a novel! This sci-fi romance transports the reader into the alien Vendu world. Intensely emotional at times, Peaches portrayal of these alien humanoid warriors in glorious Technicolor evokes their culture and their lifestyle. She pulls one in right from the word go. One cannot help but fall in love with her characters who are off the charts awesome and will leave one swooning, drooling and panting over them long after the novel is finished. Peaches has indeed come a long way since her first novel. She has honed her word craft and found her signature sensuality. The Vendu consider themselves a superior race to humans. Larger, brawnier with a denser muscle the Vendu are a fierce warrior race that are physiologically and technological superior to earthlings. They also have a different ideology and hence philosophy to us. Despite their superior intellect, they have some rather old-fashioned concepts regarding women. To the Vendu, women were solely for the two P's - pleasuring and propagating. There were no women soldiers among the Vendu. It was unheard of. Obviously, women's lib had never reached their planet. Such a ripe backdrop for sci-fi erotica and Peaches dives in to deliver much to one's delight. After a bloody war that almost destroyed Earth a peace treaty was negotiated with the Vendu. Highly unusual for the Vendu who are known to completely conquer and subjugate the vanquished. Enter Freya, the spunky and self-reliant heroine falsely convicted of spying and sentenced for life on the harsh planet of Tagra. The Vendu have transformed Tagra using terra forming technology one that could definitely help Earth. As a prison colony, it is not much different from the worst prisons on Earth where corruption and all manner of base human activity is rife. Hottie pattatie Vendu Marco is the new governor posted to Tagra. Their encounters are intense and sizzling with passion. There is no denying the chemistry between them. She is torn between her scruples and Marco's offer of an easier life. Should she succumb to the one person who can keep her safe on the notorious Tagra? Oh the irony and her delicious torment! Peaches adeptly paints Freya's dilemma. Can Freya resist the sexpert Marco? The Vendu freely practice eroticism without any restrictions. However, the emotions of love and humour indulged by earthlings are unfamiliar to the Vendu. This novel is full of curveballs and kinky sex. Can the independent and headstrong Freya adjust to the Vendu lifestyle and culture that is poles apart from hers? Can the Vendu especially Marco understand Freya's emotions and needs? Can she stay out of trouble? Marco cannot help but admire the fragile earthling Freya's steadfast loyalty to her friends and her strong sense of justice incidentally not shred by the Vendu and albeit to her detriment. I guess I have said too much. Anymore and my review will be a spoiler. You will have to read this novel to discover the rest for yourself. Certainly not for the fainthearted.
Steamy Sci-Fi! Freya is caught spying and sent to a prison colony on a distant planet. When she arrives she is subjected to an intimate medical exam and punished with a spanking when she protests. Marco the governor can’t stop thinking of Freya and demands her submission. This is a fast paced ready with punishments and steamy sex. I liked it! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.
I enjoyed this book! The sci-fi theme was different and offered suspense, danger, adventure, romance, love and quite a bit of steam. I was hooked on the story from the beginning and it kept me turning the pages until the end. Nicely done! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.
Good, not great. The storyline wasn't fleshed out enough for me and there was too much emphasis on discipline and humiliation for my tastes. If you're looking for that kind of thing, then this book might work for you.
I really wanted to like this book more than I did. The repetitive spankings just got too much for me as they occurred on nearly every page. I liked the overall story idea but it was mostly lost in the over abundance of sex and punishment.
Extreme graphic situation of a sexual nature with discipline. Liked the characters personalities however. I wish there was more I could say. I will admit that there is a story to be had.
