Oh my, what can I say about Wade and Laney?!? This book teaches us that our first impressions are not always what we should rely on when we judge others. When Wade first meets Laney, his impression is that she's a spoiled rich stick up her rear debutante. When Laney first meets Wade, her first impression is that he's a poor hillbilly party boy. But then they spend some time together and each realize that the other is not what they thought.
This book was shorter than I usually read but Scarlet made it seem longer. She amazingly got all the details in and never made me feel rushed. What a talented author!!
Scarlet has written another amazing book. Laney lived off her rich daddy and had to find out what it was like to fend for herself . She meet Wade and as a snotty rich girl she wanted nothing to do with him. But deep down she did. Loved this book from beginning to end.
Oh my, this is a great book! I'm so in love with Wade, I'd give everything to be Laney. The relationship that blossoms between them is written so well. Another great book. Keep them coming.
Read as part of the Reckless anthology. Better written than some of the other stories, but I couldn't get past the hero sleeping with the heroine's friend as a kind of revenge for her initially shutting him down.
What to say???? Well, Wade meets Laney and instantly is attracted to her. Then he speaks to her and because she's not easy he moves on to her friend. He tries to have sex with said friend but she's puking and drunk. Moving on, he is at the same wedding as her the next day and sleeps with a different friend. Yup. Then he repos her car (his job) and now she needs a ride to see her father. Then their relationship begins. Did I mention her calls her a prude before he sleeps with the friend. Anyway after that they get to know each other and it's better. There is a HEA and its okay. He has some insecurities but he gets over them. She loosens up, as she still was harboring some bitterness from the man who took her virginity and cheated on her. He doesn't cheat on her after they get together. I really could have skipped him sleeping with her friend. It was a nice story after that though.
Laney and Wades story is one of a kind. They meet at a bar and neither of them can deny that there's a spark between them. When Wade has to repossess her car she then becomes a prick in his side. Can they get past this and move on or will it be their downfall?
I could not put this book down. Wade and Laney were funny and cute together. Their banter back and forth I found to be endearing. I love how they fell for each other.
