Oh this story has me hooked. I'm going back to read the first book. Eagerly awaiting the third book to solve the mystery of the "mystery guy".

TWO BOOK REVIEW:
If you’re anything like us then you’ll know that feeling that comes upon you as a reader when you have a million books on your kindle but all you crave is some good old filthy erotica. Things can get too morose- too serious or too emotional; so on a sunny weekend we decided to indulge in a romp fest of epic proportions. Now, we’re no prudes and it takes a lot to make us blush so when we tell you that this had us checking our surroundings as we were reading then you’ll know what we mean…
We read book one and two in the Escort series in one day. Why not go all in, right?! And it was not just the sunny weather making us hot and bothered, it was the story of Emma Carling. We have to say that if you’re adverse to every hole’s a goal and overly descriptive sex scenes where- the more the merrier- is a theme, then this may not be for you.
This is not a love story- rather it’s the story of a woman’s sexual awakening and earning a pretty penny whilst doing so. And when Emma realises her inherent love of women, men and sexual activities- well this girl certainly is a force to be reckoned with and doesn’t she aim for the top…bottom…well you’ll know what we mean if you pick this series up.
Whilst we never really got an in depth character development or get to know the character of Emma from before we met her, we enjoyed her company. Her escapades had us seeking freezer time- it had us laughing and it entertained us. It was hot, for sure, and also the type of well written easy read that we all need every so often.
The Author behind the words is apparently male and we’d have to say that the erotic and descriptive nature of this series certainly reads as such. It’s very clear that every pubescent and adult male’s fantasy is represented here in it base form and we had to laugh sometimes at the ‘cheese factor’ and situational porn-like settings.
Whilst set in London, England it wasn’t particularly overly British- as in many words aren’t ones we’d use so we didn’t necessarily get an authentic Londoner feel. However, this didn’t impact us as such as it really wasn’t that kind of story.
Book one; Escort in Training– does exactly what it says on the tin. After leaving a job and a Boss she hates; she enrolls in an exclusive escort school hidden in the English countryside. This, on suggestion by a wealthy friend of hers who knows people who knows people…..It’s all rather secretive and cloak and dagger. We have to say that we do wonder if this school isn’t every man’s- wankfest– filled dream. Or woman’s for that matter!
Book two; Escort Unleashed– Or should that be Emma Unleashed, because after graduating with flying colours- which is no secret- she certainly goes and conquers the market for the able and willing in the premium escort industry of London. This book was tamer compared to book one and we loved the building connection between Emma and her sponsor. There was more of a story and an intriguing and dark mystery developed. Whilst we still enjoyed hearing about Emma we have to admit that we became a tad tired of certain repetitive aspects. We realised what we were missing – the love aspect. It was still all about the nookie and we all know that too much of one thing and not enough of the other – well interest wanes. However, just as we were wondering if we should put it aside for now something began unfolding which we’re now absolutely invested in and it’s the reason we really want to read book three in the Emma Series. So bring it on James Grey and prove whether our conspiracy theory is right….or not! This was an old-school cliff-hanger and we bloody loved that.
So, we’ll hand it over to the Author James Grey (of all the pen names to choose!)…..

This story makes you question everything you thought you knew about right and wrong as Emma comes to terms with who SHE is, not who society tells her she is. I love it!
Also, as much as I'm enjoying the developing relationships that Emma has with Sarah and Charles, I need to know who the mystery client is... NOW!!!

Emma's training is complete. As her agent secures top money for her services, Emma needs to decide how she's going to move forward with this new lifestyle. Will clients know her from her past? Can her friends be discrete? Will her parents approve? Does danger lurk around the corner?
As Emma is to determined shine and never complain, she's keeping her thoughts to herself and enjoying the sexy time perks of her job. Will this be her downfall? With an outstanding cliffhanger, James Grey has me once again hooked! A must read.

June 17, 2024Written in first person from Emma's POV, this series must be read in order. Readers should note that this is not a romance series and there is not a romantic HEA. The focus of this series is Emma's s3xual awakening and her journey to acceptance of her desires and her satisfaction with the life she chooses. These were my first books by this author and really the first time I have read erotica written by a male author. I will say, there is a difference.
Most of the series, and all of the physical scenes read like the fantasies of a teenage boy. They are hot but there isn't a lot of depth to them. Emma's journey of self discovery also seems pretty shallow at times. For a woman of 26 and 27, she doesn't seem to adult very well. Her emotions are inconsistent regarding some of her clients and even her friends. She enjoys the physical connections with a variety of client but occasionally struggles with guilt and shame because of it. I found her personal journey interesting, I just wanted more. There are some twists and turns along the way and book two ends on a significant cliffhanger. I found my feelings about this series mixed. I wanted so much more yet it was like a train wreck and I couldn't stop reading. I think part of me kept holding out hope that the story would gain the missing depth if I just kept reading a little more. Ultimately, the series left me unsatisfied.

In the second book Emma after having graduated from school for escorts with distinction starts her exciting working life as escort. The story, as one would expect, is full of details about her daily work with different clients and there is reasonably good background plot aside descriptive sex scenes. The story ends with cliffhanger as we watch relationship Charles and Emma had take unpredictable turn with sudden revelations. I'm curious to see whether indeed what happened is what I suspected.
Overall good read but little over the top with hot scenes, good plot and characters descriptions so deserves solid 4 stars (but not as good as the first book, which got 5 stars from me). Still would recommend.

The second of a three volume series, Emma has returned from training and starts to build a business. We see her growing closer to two people, Charles and Sarah. Charles is her regular Friday night, while Sarah becomes a live-in lover. Obviously the first is not a forever thing, and she's learned that lesson. It's also clear that she doesn't want the second to be a long-term relationship. She's exploring herself, and her sexual identity.
There's also a mystery man and this book ends with a cliffhanger. Book 1, interestingly, doesn't. The cliffhanger in that book is that you want to know what Emma does next.

This is the second instalment of Emma's story. If you thought book 1 was hot believe me book 2 won't disappoint.
I love Emma, she's confident yet shy, she's daring yet apprehensive. I can really identify with her highs and lows, believe me this is a fantastic book not for the faint hearted. It draws you in and just when you think you are going to find something out it ends. I can't wait for the next one!
I highly recommend this book its superbly written and this man can surely get inside a woman's head.

I'm still quite astounded at the quality and build-up in this second tale of Emma and her new life as a courtesan, the way the tale leads you to the visit of her mum to the new flat and how she's so trapped and worried about the explanation is fantastic, oh yes and the sex is good to.
On to the final book now and the delightful way its been set up for the unveiling of her Master.

I found this second book engaging and with enough elements that I was invested beyond the sexual aspect. The deeper challenges of her choices have sucked me in and made me want to finish the series. I like Emma beyond her proficient prowess and her natural aptitude for her new profession. She is interesting beyond the obvious and carries herself in a realistic manner. I think the third book will be good too. I long for the answers to things that are happening in her life.

I won the first book in Dublin and at that point the second book wasn't out, not too sure why I've since waited so long ?
I loved every minute of this book and the continuation of Emma's crazy journey, luckily for me book 3 is now out so I'm diving straight in.

Thrillingly Naughty
This is one amazing series. I love Emma, Sarah and the girls. The build up of encounters and possible reveal of the antagonist leading to book three is too exciting for words. Continues to be addictive
It’s took me two days to read this book. I’m loving this story an excited to start reading book 3 in the series tonight. Emma is growing so much from the start of the first book, this book has everything you want. James Grey is moving fast up my list of authors I can’t read to more of.

Wow!!!! I honestly don’t think it’s her ex boss!!! I think it’s someone she hasn’t even thought of…. I personally think it’s Martin but then she said she didn’t meet him until later…. And this guy has known her since she was 14….. can’t wait to read the 3rd book!!!!

Okayyyy!!! Not bad for book 2!!!! Not as many steamy scenes as book 1 but there was still quite a few. Lowkey cute that Sarah and Emma are still together. I would've hated it if Sarah let her jealousy get the best of her. LOVING THE SUPPORT BETWEEN THEM TWO!!!
