Clarabelle Wright doesn’t believe in someone else creating her happily ever after. In fact, she has spent her entire life ensuring a future for herself. When the family finances fall further in debt, her big college dreams are put on hold. Beaumont University has one thing to offer, a full ride, and Clara has no other choice but to accept. She’s the reliable daughter, the responsible one. But what she truly desires is adventure and passion, and she doesn’t expect to find either at the small town university. That is until she accidentally catches the alluring eye of the Adam Beaumont. He’s entitled, careless, and a shameless flirt. Clara knows a man of his beastly reputation is nothing but trouble…trouble wrapped in gorgeous, untamed trims.

But Adam has a tempting offer to make. One that will keep his mother off his back so he can continue his regularly scheduled life filled with big parties and beautiful women. It sounds like the perfect plan until a certain beauty proves to be a much bigger challenge than he ever expected. Worse, he can’t seem to get her off his mind.

Confident that she’s too smart to fall for his games, Clara accepts. But when two headstrong forces begin to clash, someone will have to fold or break all their rules.

A perfect college romance, with all the fuss, drama and love. I liked this book quite a lot, even if the title was a little misleading. I was expecting a high dose of craziness and misbehaving, but that was not the case. Regardless of my expectations, it is still a very enjoyable book.

Clara is your normal geek, who wants to experience life outside books and grades once in a while. So she is off to college. She wants to find balance between hanging out with friends and still maintaining good results in school. With a complicated family, Clara tries to form a plan on how to help her family with the money issues they face.

Adam on the other hand is like the spoiled rich kid – or as some might think. He has everything and more: a big house, money to spend, the looks, a mother who’s the school principle… And here comes the truth: he lives constantly to fulfill his mother’s expectations. He needs to behave according to the family reputation, he must maintain excellent grades (which has not happened recently because… he simply does not care) and he must follow a certain career. And what does he do? He rebels!

But when they meet, they find that common ground. They manage to balance each other. I think this is the best part of the story: how the main characters learned to have fun (Clara), while putting an effort in studying (Adam). That’s how the bond. I loved the innocence on their relationship because neither expects something good, or long lasting, to come out of it. And I loved also the small complications, which I think are quite common among teens.

Now let’s quickly go through the parts that did not stand well with me. These kids drink too much and all tend to be more receptive after some quantity of alcohol. Noting (too) bad happens but I felt that their behavior was somehow accepted in the book and, while I know teenagers drink, I don’t like it. Adam pays Clara to tutor him. That’s fine, but her situation at home is not presented as being so desperate. I would have wanted more focus on the character development and less on the material aspect of the story.

All in all, this was a lovely story. The writing is great, with lines that will make you smile. It is a good way to pass some time. Hope you like it as well 

Clarabelle’s dream was to go to an Ivy League College near a big city. When her family came into financial difficulties, she worked really hard and received a full scholarship to Beaumont University. Not exactly where she wanted to go, but she was making the best of it. She had a great roommate, Rose, and made several friends including Adam Beaumont.

Adam’s family established Beaumont University and his mother is currently the Dean of the University. His mother expects leadership and good manners, but all Adam wants is to party, have fun with his friends, and hook up. When his mother finds out about his affair with his TA, she makes him retake the class. Lucky for him Clara is in his class and agrees to tutor him. Clara likes Adam, but is not interested in his womanizing behaviors. Adam finally decides it is time to grow up and actually try to be the man Clara deserves.

I enjoyed the story and the characters. There was some drama with Olivia, Adam’s ex-girlfriend, and Corin, a friend of Adam’s, who is jealous of Adam’s relationship with Clara. The sex scenes were on the mild side. If you like a sweet college romance, you should give this a read.
