When Lana Matthews, a psychology major at Seattle University, is reluctantly dragged by her roommate to an exclusive S&M club called The Looking Glass, she is mesmerized by the displays of lust, curious about the unconventional props such as a wooden throne, a giant steel spider web, and a giant birdcage, and intimidated by the exhibition portion of the evening, a time when each Dom displays his unique talents. She unexpectedly wins an evening with the club's top performer, the elusive Dom 241, who satisfies her carnal desires and unleashes a primal urge deep inside her, a dark side of her that she never knew existed, and leaves her craving more of him.

Enzio Salazar has been Lana's best friend since they were young, and although he confessed his love for her numerous times, she reaffirmed each time that she wanted to remain friends.

The two of them are now attending the same university, but Enzio seems different at times, and Lana cannot figure out what has changed. When she notices a partially opened package in front of Enzio's dorm room, curiosity gets the best of her, and she takes it to her room, discovering a leather garment inside. She puts it on, silently complaining of its tightness, and notices two metal latches. Connecting them, she hears a chime and the latches become locked in place, making the outfit impossible to remove. Wondering why Enzio would order such an outfit, she is stunned to learn that he dabbles in S&M, and she realizes how little she actually knows about him, like where he works, or who he may be, other than her beloved Enzio.

Normally, I do not read erotica novels written by men. I truly don't know why, perhaps it's a pet peeve or maybe I am bias. However, I was in between books and since it was free, I thought, why the hell not? Now I am an advocate of the S&M lifestyle. I had been both a Mistress and a Slave so I tend to read these types of book with a serious judgmental eye.
Now I am going to try my best to give a spoiler-free review. First, let's start with the pro's. At first when I started reading it, I've been reading bites and piece here and there, but then I found myself sucked into the overall story itself. The slave and club contracts within the book is one hundred percent accurate and the emotional aspects that a club Dom has with a personal slave hits the nail on the fricken head.
Then I found myself suddenly taking my time, because in a way I didn't want to finish it. I could've finished it in a day but I just didn't want it to end. I fell in love with the overall story and the widely diverse cast of characters. The story itself was an emotional rollercoaster! I laughed, I was turned on, I resisted the urge to cry and without giving anything away, I yelled at my tablet, which caused my husband to wake up screaming as well and him falling off the bed. The sex scenes are truly breathtaking and uncensored! So for those who don't like graphic details, this book is not for you.
Then there's the dialogue between the main characters. The way Enzio speak to Lana is truly amazing. Okay let me put it like this. Anyone who has been in or is currently in the lifestyle can relate on every conversation between the two in every level and as for the unique situation they are in, is very relatable. The punishments scenes are not only well described, but I found myself taking down mental notes so my husband could try a few of them on me.
Now for the cons: The Author's writing structure is above standard, using some of the basic common troves when starting a sentence, however it is easily ignored because of the story itself. There's a side story within the book that contained a rape scene that made me cringe and because I am a survivor myself, it almost made me stop reading the book, but after I pressed through, I was so happy that I did.
All in all, I give this book a four out of five stars. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is a fan of Dom/Sub stories and I cannot wait for the second book. I have officially placed V. E. Campudoni on my author watch list.

Like many women, I fell into the Fifty Shades hype and because of it, I read some many magical books that were ten times better like the Crossfire Series, the Hacker Series and more recently the Captive Series. So when I saw the cover of this book on my Kindle Direct recommendations, I just clicked on it and just started reading. I was expecting something similar in comparison to the previous books I have read. The Billionaire/Common Girl scenario. Imagine my surprise that it was nothing of the sort and it felt like a breath of fresh air. Then I read the first sex scene within the book and my mouth just dropped. This is a very explicit book and I must say, wow!
I really enjoy the story, especially the scenes when the main male character, Enzio. Walks the woman of his dreams, Lana, carefully guide her into the world of S&M. Unlike the other series I had read, this book gave me a better understanding of a Master/Slave or in this case, a Dom/Sub relationship. "It's all about trust." is how the author explains it and he is right.
Then you have the array of characters that I genuinely felt emotionally connected to. I really enjoy this book and man, what a ending! Even after reading the sample chapter of the upcoming book, I was still speechless and couldn't stop thinking about it. All in all it's a damn good book Sorry Gideon and Christian, it's been fun, but Enzio is my new book boyfriend now.

No Spoilers....I understand, that you might be disappointed with the ending. BUT, it leaves you thirty for the upcoming book. And, obviously, as you neared the ending, you had to have come to the realization that this wasn't the end. I think the overall story was perfect! The author laid out the foundation pretty straight forward and there are times that you think he is all over the place with his characters and side stories, but he brings it all together very well. The lead characters are too riddled with problems, individually and together, for them to get their HEA is going to be awhile. They have known each other almost their entire lives and the doubt, uncertainties and fear that Lana has is completely understandable and relatable. I think their relationship needed everything that happens in this book, and I'm excited for what comes next. I suggest people to read this book with an open mind because it is clear that their journey is a long one, filled with some painful moments and some pretty darn hot ones too. lol! This book definitely gives you some very steamy moments. Lana and Enzio are just made for each other, and I believe that they will get their HEA, but for now, I am just going to buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Okay, normally I do not go out of my way to create a profile just to post a review to a book. However, since this author went out of his way to send me a copy, unaware that I no longer write book reviews for my paper. It's the least that I could do. First thing first, I found the writing style for this book very unorthodox. The reason being, from experience, reading a romance novel where the scene jumps to different characters within a chapter is a common trove I see in horror or action/adventure novels and not in romance. So reading a writing style like this within a genre that is dominated by POV standards, I found it to be surprisingly refreshing. However, this may confuse or frighten women who are used to reading a particular way. With that said, here's my review of Linger by who I believe to be a promising up and coming author V. E. Campudoni.
The story main focus is on Enzio, a man who became obsessed with S&M at a early age and ended up to be the best in the business and although he is in a palimony relationship with a lesbian couple. (Something that I have seen on a numerous occasions when I lived in California.) he never truly opened his heart to any of them. He was a 'go with the flow' kind of guy. Then there's Lana, his love interests and best friend. She's a woman, who although is in a relationship with someone, could not see with another woman. Something that I am guilty of myself. One evening Lana is convinced to go to a night club with her friend which turned out to be a S&M club called The Looking Glass and reluctantly wins a night with Dom 241 who really is Enzio.
Now that is all of the spoiler's that I am going to give out because it's a story that had to be read and had to be experienced. It's emotional, highly romantic and incredibly erotic. It left me cheering wildly, laughing loudly, gasping, sighing and yes, even hugging my tablet at various moments. This tale is something that is truly unique and I just wished that V. E. Campudoni didn't use such graphic (Although extremely welcomed) detail to his sexual scenes. I believed that this is the kind of book that should be on store shelves instead of being limited to Amazon kindle. However, hopefully it could find it way to stores so everyone could discover just how unique it is. This is the type of book that deserve a book tour, radio interviews and showcased within conventions. The character development is absolutely stellar, the side stories within the main storyline is utterly fantastic and the reader could relate or know someone who are like every character within the book. All in all this book could either become a cult favorite or a absolute game changer, I highly recommend this book to everyone just as long as you are prepared that the writing structure is different than what you are used to. Just don't let that scare you from a truly fascinating story of love, revenge and lust.

*May contain spoilers* This book is a little hard to rate for me. I'm teetering on 4-5 stars, but I have decided on 4 stars. There is a cliffhanger, but I was aware of it prior to reading. Enzio and Lana are really the main characters, but there are a lot of characters in this book and the plot shifts between those characters often. This wasn't really confusing for me, but I will say when I thought all of the characters were introduced, another woman appeared out of nowhere and I'm not really sure who she is or why she was brought into the story. She did bring a new intrigue to the plot and I'm sure she'll be continued in the next book and I'm curious to see what she's up to. The reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt Enzio and Lana lacked chemistry together. Others may disagree, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. This is mine. Lana is not my favorite heroine. She uses Enzio while she has a boyfriend and it felt to me that she leads Enzio along. She's too indecisive. There doesn't seem to be a strong attraction to Enzio for her. She doesn't talk a lot about how attracted she is to him, how much she likes him, or how her feelings are starting to grow for him. She talks a lot about her friendship with him and a few times about secretly caring for him, but there isn't a relentless chemistry or pull between the two of them that they can't seem to get enough of each other the way I like my H and h to have. I hope to see more of this between them in book two. The other reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because there was a lot of sex going on between Enzio and other women without protection...women he didn't even know and had just met. I understand the club tested women, but that didn't mean they were on birth control and not all of them women were through the club. I didn't like that. Those are the main two reasons it went from a 5 star to a 4 star for me. The plot has a lot of stories going on but it's interesting and the sex was erotic, jaw dropping, and super steamy...it just wasn't between the H and h. I look forward to reading book two to see if there's some kind of chemistry shift in store for Enzio and Lana. I still definitely recommend it for fans of BDSM and erotica!

“I want you to tell yourself with confidence that you are beautiful.” (Enzio to Lana in "Linger")

I liked it! I really, really liked it!!! Well done! The writing resembles a seasoned author's work. And hurrah - hurrah, there were none of those repetitive "POV" appearing on every other book I have read based in this genre! And the lead characters presented a much more mature and knowledgeable persona. Between "Crossfire" and this one, I would choose this one without a doubt!

I admit I don't frequently read these types of book written by men, it usually creeps me out. But as I once again stepped over the boundaries (which equals curiosity got the best of me), I was immediately drawn into this intensely obsessive tale and totally captured and intrigued from beginning to end and oh my, what a ending!! There are very few books that plays like a movie in my head and damn it, this is one of them!

For anyone who wants a extra dose of spice to the reading list, this book is for you! The story is compelling, moving and hypnotic. Although sad and hurtful in many ways, there is magic between the main characters relationship. And certainly enough steamy hot sexual encounters, both in and out of the bedroom, to keep a reader's heart rate on overdrive. As for the main characters, the road to happily-ever-after is going to be a bit bumpy for these two.

It certainly won't be my one and done read! Wow! I wasn't quite ready for the "cliffhanger" ending that left this reader begging for more, I cannot wait for the next one so I could get another peek at Enzio and Lana, as well as an interesting secondary cast. I LOVE MISTRESS JOSLIN!

I was hanging out with a group of girlfriends and I mentioned that I just finished the Fifty Shades series. (I thought was okay but I wasn't crazy about the author's writing style.) One of my friends mentioned the Crossfire Series, and asked if I had read it. At the time, I had not, but I immediately put it on my wish list from the library and I fell in love with this book so I started looking for other books in his genre. I read books by Roxy Sloane, CJ Roberts, MS Parker and I just recently discover the beauty series by Anne Rice. (OH MY GOD IS THAT GOOD!) So as I was trolling online last night for a new book on some of my romance groups on Facebook and I found a cheeky posting about this book posted by the author and I figured, why the hell not? The cover looks great, but the blurb and excerpt, not so much. LOL! Seriously, it's too late to change the blurb, but not the excerpt. It doesn't give this book justice, LOL! Anyway, I decided to give this book a chance since it was free for Kindle Unlimited.

"Linger" me hooked from the first chapter! I could already tell that I like V. E. Campudoni's writing style which is very similar to a couple of my favorite authors. I finished the book in record time and I immediately set a reminder to buy the next book. I feel like the storyline has progressed nicely throughout the book, and I never got bored with it like I did with some of my other books from time to time.

I liked that there seemed to be more depth to the characters and like I stated above really enjoyed the storyline so much. There's a realism to the two main characters and it resonate to me on a personal level. Sure, there were quite a few hardcore descriptive sex scenes in the book but that didn't really bother me. I don't read romance novels for anything more than entertainment value and boy this this book deliver. I tried to place a review on Amazon.com, but since the book was from the Kindle Unlimited program, Amazon is a bit of a jerk about placing a review on books "not purchase" so here I am. Trying to spread the word on a truly marvelous hidden gem!

New to me author V.E. Campudoni pens an interesting tale. Specifically, the BDSM in this story is hawt and romanticized. The characters are too. Enzio is the one who I liked in this story. From a character perspective, he has more depth. He's a gentle soul who also exudes some serious sexy dominant vibes. His job as a professional dominant may help this vibe going.

From a BDSM element, this book is good and I'd categorize as a Gateway into BDSM. With the requisite elite club which also makes this a glitterkink book for me, it is just the right tone for readers who want to get a little kinky. What brought this story down for me was the main character, Lana Matthews. She is a shallow user who doesn't deserve a friend like Enzio. She is clueless and thoughtless. Very little about her is admirable or redeemable. She's a dumbass who should be left in the cold so that Enzio could move on.

Oddly, this story isn't about friends becoming lovers or even the right time for couples to finally reunite. It really should be more about Enzio and his meteoric rise in this fantasy BDSM underworld. When a competing club is looking to hire Enzio away from the two that gave him is starting break, this is what makes the story interesting. It also makes this story jarring because it feels like two stories stitched together and not that well either. Personally, I'd get rid of the Lana element or make it much smaller and focus more on Enzio's life and who wants a piece of him. This world building should really revolve around him since he's the one of interest and skills. Since this is the first book in the series, perhaps the later ones will flesh out and focus on Enzio. This kinky erotica is recommended as a Gateway to BDSM book.

I am head over heels about Lana and Enzios story. It's so good and so captivating. The chemisty between them is so good, and I cannot wait for it to continue further on.
I will not go much into what goes on in the book as you have to read it for yourself.

The only downside to this book is that this is not just Lana and Enzios story.. no it's also Joslin, Rachel, Marie, Akira, Juno, Miko, Nadia, Gia and Samuels book - don't know if I forgot some, there were to many to keep track on. All their stories are related to each other and it does make sense to read more about why and when and where, but when I only want to read about Lana and Enzio there are a lot of pages in between that I have to read. If I don't, I will surely miss something important. So I just have to endure to read about the other characters.

Some of the characters I like and some of them I really dislike. Joslin and Rachel are not my cup of tea. They are the snobby girls who thinks they know everything better and that they are the queens on the earth. Juno and Miko I do not understand. Akira if both the good and the bad guy at the same time. Nadia has two personalities - sometimes she is very fragile and week and at other times she is very strong, feisty and knows exactly what she wants and how she want it, and dosen't care if she's playing dirty to get it.

I will keep on reading the next book as I want to know what will happen between Lana and Enzio.

Yes I read the whole book in less than half a day - I will not give away any secrets of the book in this review. I couldn't put it down. It was so intense and made you want to turn the page to see what was going to happen to both Enzio and Lana next. At times my heart ached for both of them. I love how the author brought everything together in the end. And yes we get more of a glimpse into the next possible triangle, no make that a octagon! But more important we get a good feeling of the intensity of their relationship. I am very happy that the author wasn't replicating anything that resembled Fifty or crossfire in this book. This was very well written. His attention to detail when it comes to some very sexual scenes is extraordinary and the overall story is much better than EL James and a close second to Sylvia Day. Close, but not better ;). I have to say at the end of this book I think Enzio is hotter than Christian Grey or Gideon Cross, he is more obtainable, desirable and complex. I even wish the club was real!

Free copy for an honest review.
BDSM based story, lots of characters and rivalries between them. Some violence and a rape, which was quite vividly described. Some jumping around between past and present as well as the characters, meaning you need to concentrate at times. It is a good base story once you get passed all the club rules which I found a bit tedious, I also didn't find it flowed through the chapters to well in some places. This is also not the whole story, it continues in "Longing" so don't expect a HEA. The scenes in places are very intense and well written so you can almost picture the events in your mind, also quite varied. I did enjoy reading this and will be continuing with the second book, but it didn't quite meet with what I like personally as a five star read. Mostly because of the points already mentioned, the overall story of unrequited love between Enzio and Lana is very good though. I do feel if you like BDSM stories then give this a go, there is a lot of that in this and does give a great overall coverage of the different techniques involved.

Masked emotions: Linger

Linger is a story full of dark and oh so sinful lust and emotion mixed with hidden secrets that tangle you up and don't let go.
The character development is deep and intense and the chemistry and passion is off the scales.
If you enjoy a book that is Dom/sub based then this is the book for you.
Looking forward to continuing Enzio and lana's story in the next book.

I have to give you five stars for effort. I binge read all three of the Masked Emotions books written by local author V. E. Campudoni. Now I am writing this review based on all three books on what I had read so far and I will copy and past this review for all three book. With that said. This book is not like your traditional BDSM novels, there are a lot of characters beside the story main ones. The writing style strongly reflects both James Patterson or Stephen King. Meaning that beside the main characters the side characters also plays an intricate part of the tale.

However, jumping from character to character within a chapter will fend off readers of this genre. Readers do not care about the side characters, they only want to care about the main characters and their interactions with one another. They will not care about Enzio's sister who was gang rape by Lana's boyfriend Samuel and his buddies and she becomes hell bent on revenge. They would not care about Samuel becoming instantly remorseful for what he had done. They would not care about Akira who is trying to get Enzio to work in his club or his adopted daughters Juno and Miko. They would not care about Joslin or Rachel who in part, help mold Enzio to who he is. Or his stalker Gia who in my opinion is written very well, especially her decent into madness. Then there's the characters who get introduced later on in the other books. Jayce, Raul, Donnie and Lochlan. Readers who would want a instant hot and heavy read will not like this.

Yet for a reader like myself. I do care. Mr. Campudoni created a world, not a story and in that world there are gears that are moving, different paths on a long road that all leads to the same destination. The pacing of the writing felt more like fun and mayhem. There's comedy, love, hate, conniving murder, lies, deception and lust go into making this series something new for a genre that felt more like a cookie formula than anything else. It's great when you know the primary characters, know what kind of people they are, and how well they interact with one another. At first it was confusing trying to figure out who the villain were, but I completely understood where V. E. Campudoni was going with his story and he did an excellent job on keeping the chemistry between the characters so perfectly in tune. Basically its a standard soap opera formula and I applause V. E. Campudoni for at least trying to break the mold. The Masked Emotions Series (Linger, Longing and Laid Bare) plays out like an interesting television series in your mind. Keeping my interest and kept me turning the pages. I wanted to know more about all of the characters and their personal struggles with their inner demons.

I truly enjoyed the sexual scenes and the hardcore BDSM scenes and I truly appreciate that unlike all of the Doms and Masters in every single BDSM books out there. Enzio is a Dom who cares. He is not a perfect Adonis of a man. He has doubts, he has fear and has feelings. This vulnerability is what I always wanted with a Dom character. Not some jackass who instantly comes into the room and take a helpless woman with no self worth and basically treats them like their personal whore. I appreciate the realism to the story. I appreciate the raw emotions and I very much appreciate that he is using none of the common formula that I am used to seeing in these types of novels.

The Masked Emotions Series is a diamond in the rough. People will hate it without a shadow of a doubt. People will get confused on the amount of characters this series has and how they all are connected. People may not like the cliffhanger endings. Yet, people, like myself will enjoy this soap opera. All of them are great reads, with good writing and I learn something new about each character and their relationships with each other, as well as a peek into their lives. Then there's the club. The Looking Glass has to be the best sexual club ever written and the way it was described and the culture makes it a character on its own. I am excited for the fourth installment of this five book series. Don't be surprised that in a couple of years down the line this series becomes a live-action cable series. I say this because that is how it plays out when you read it and I can guaranteed you that will be the only time everyone will realized just how precious and unique this series really is.

This book gets 3.5 stars from me. It's well written and the characters are realistically complex...but the plot was not as advertised.

I started reading with the expectation of a romance, an erotic one, but a romance nonetheless. Instead, LINGER had a thread of unrequited/unacknowledged romance, lots of BDSM, sexual encounters between pretty much everyone but the two main characters, rape, a random friend and her restaurant/family issues, corporate espionage, high school misunderstandings, and a cliffhanger.

The sex was good. It's why this book gets 3.5 stars. The emotions/needs behind the sex are clearly defined, and consent was important to the main characters (the one who was raped, obviously, being the exception, and her experience was a strange subplot that didn't truly connect to main story line except to introduce Nadia to her mentor/Dom 241's competition...I'm assuming book 2 will explain).

The characters were complex, not necessarily likeable. Lana was annoying 90% of the time. I honestly couldn't figure out why Enzio loved her. At all. That pair just didn't make sense in my head. Now, Dom 241 and Lana made sense, bc that was an exchange of power...but the actual people? nope. Couldn't empathize with their non-couple-drama, especially since they were both fucking other people.

Scrubbed down to the basic story, it's all about a guy who doesn't get the girl. Ever. He plays with her, uses his skills as a Dom on her, but they never connect as individuals outside the Master/Sub scenes. However, the subplots are an entirely (and yes, I mean that literally) different story. I got a bit of whiplash and couldn't figure out what I was reading...basically, scrubbed down, it's about a selfish girl slowly discovering she has feelings for a boy but then realizing she's not a special snowflake because the boy has grown into a mysterious, sexy, much-desired man. And the man himself basically just fucks everything that moves. The lesbian couple have a baby scare. The sister is raped and rises to become a vengeful protege to a powerful Dom. Maria is a random friend that isn't important but still pops up at odd intervals.

It was a strange story. Not bad, just...confusing.

I have no idea what I was meant to take away, what I should have felt. Instead of trying to sort all that out, I'll just focus on the sex. It was lovely and naughty and well planned and delicious...I'd give a satisfied 5 stars if I could have an erotic story with those scenes and no subplots. I'll be on the lookout!

Lana has known Enzio since they were children and have now graduated up to the same University together. They're best friends and have always been there for each other when needed.
Enzio has very deep feelings for Lana. He loves her, it's just that each time he tells her is the wrong time.
Lana's friends drag her out to an S & M Club to cheer her up and she meets the famous Dom 241 after she wins a session with him in the raffle. He's smooth, stern and sexy, the perfect package! Lana's besotted with him and would love to see him again, there's only one problem - nobody actually knows his identity.
So when Lana takes in a package for Enzio at their University Dorms, she can see through the half-open wrapping that it is a beautiful PVC bustier and tries it on. The moment the locks snap closed, she realises that they aren't made to open without a key and that has been mailed separately. Enzio tells her his girlfriend is into 'that kind of thing' and he bought it for her.
But a week later, Lana decides to ask him to train her a little, as she assumes he is just an amateur . Her idea is to be more pleasing for Dom 241 so that he will accept her as his sub.
A lot of other plot twists all go to make a very entertaining story, leaving you wanting more in the next story Masked Emotions: Longing. Book two.
When I first started reading this, I have to admit that it sounded just like the storyline of another book I'd read quite a while back, but reading further into it only proved me wrong so my advice to anyone that buys this book is to not take it on it's first few chapters only, there are so many twists in this story that you'll want to get the second book as well to carry the story on!
I recommend this book to all.

I have mixed emotions about this book. This book has a ton of sex, and sex of all kinds, so if that is not your thing, don't even bother. We are introduced to Enzio (a secret BDSM Master) and Lana, his childhood best friend. After ending up at the same college in the same major, they were able to rekindle their friendship that got set on the sidelines, mostly due to Lana. Enzio has never kept it a secret how he feels about Lana, but she just wants to be friends. I get that she's too afraid of risking the only true friendship she feels she has with the only man she's ever been able to trust. Neither of them can see how the other one truly feels, and it makes you want to slap them both. Especially since he is such a highly respected Master, how is it possible that he cannot obtain the only woman he has truly ever wanted?

The mixed emotions comes from the fact that there is so many other stories going on in this book besides just the two main characters and their relationship. I feel some of those stories could have had their own books they are so involved. There is Enzio and Lana....and Enzio and all the other women he is involved with through the course of the story. There is his sister Nadia and her story. Akira and his story, which include his adoptive daughters and a whole lot of other stuff that it might make your head spin. I don't mind some side stories, but some of the extra just seemed like too much. But since I'm curious to see what happens in the end, I'll go on to the next book!

This book gave me serious feels! Chills (the good kind), anger, maybe a touch of envy thrown into the mix. Together these two make beautiful music, even if they are not completely truthful to one another. Lana, yearning for love but is afraid to take the next step with her best friend, and Enzio, the wounded soul who had his heart broken so many times by the only woman he ever truly loved - come together beautifully in a way that I myself haven't seen put in such a masterful way. Lana is a relatable character in terms of her doubts and worries is shared or the fact that he will truly push her to her limits she knows that she would have rather tried and lost than to have failed to do even that. Enzio in the other hand is a very complex as a person, he weak, filled with doubt, but as a dom, he makes me wish that I could reach into the book and bring him to life. So why I gave it three stars? Well, it's simply because of the amount of profanity used during the sex scenes. It goes from a beautiful story about two friends exploring a new venture together, even though one of them has a secret to pure smut. Don't get me wrong, I like my smut. (Even this one :) ) There's a revenge scene where three rapists gets their just desserts and I must've read that entire section over a dozen times and I still cheered, but it makes it hard to suggest this book to others who don't want to read such word. Either way it is still a must read if you don't mind reading the hardcore sex scenes.

WOW! So many different characters that all have one person that connects them all in someway or another. I loved reading this book! The flow is flawless, keeping every character intriguing. While bringing their connection to one another, building the anticipation of what is going to happen next. There are so many different emotions within this story. I yelled at Lana, cried with Enzio and still don't know how I feel about Joslin.

Enzio and Lana are best friends, Enzio loves Lana and when he opens up and tells her, their friendship is tested but can their friendship survive. This will make you cry, laugh and definitely bring you into a world of lust, desire, love, jealousy, secrets, betrayal, trust, abuse, guilt and how one decision can change your life forever. Done with the hurt Lana caused him, Enzio moves on and feels he is in a good place, until move in day at school, when both find out they are in the same dorm. The pull between Lana and Enzio is enduring, but with their friends' lives intertwining with them and with the sexual nature of each friend, there is animosity, jealousy and heartbreak.

I loved this book. I can't wait to see what is going to happen with all the characters. So many different dynamics, relationships, enemies, friends, business and families. This read has it all!

I stumbled on the author due to a discussion about this series fetlife. Several members kept talking about the accuracy of the lifestyle and the vivid description of the scenes. This peaked my curiosity and I downloaded the first two books on B&N. I hate Amazon and I don't support them, but that is an explanation for another time. As I read the first book, I was amused. The contracts were indeed very accurate and Lana was the perfect Vanilla girl in every single way right down to how they acted. Enzio was indeed the perfect Dom and the scenes, blew my mind. The unique situation that brought the two of them together was indeed fresh. That was something I have never read before and I found myself laughing out loud on some of the dialog between Enzio and Lana. Mostly because I had those kind of conversation with my vanilla boyfriend from time to time. Linger is a book that is indeed hot for the average reader, but perfect for those of us who lives in this lifestyle. From poly relationship of Joslin and Rachel with Enzio to the brutality of his clients. This is how this life is for some people and I applaud the author for at least put it out there for everyone to read. Makes me wonder if he's a Dom himself. Five Stars!

Wow, that was hot with a capital H! In my personal opinion, a much, much better erotic romance than Fifty Shades – sorry, fans – let me explain why. In Fifty Shades there wasn’t much happening, just one BDSM scene after another and not too much of a plot. “Linger” was such a delight to read in this sense: the plot was compelling by itself, and as the story kept progressing, I started to bond more and more with the characters – even the one who started off as not such a likeable guy (not going to give away spoilers here, but you’ll understand who I’m talking about once you read the book) but later revealed his true qualities as he helped Nadia and after I learned his own personal story. I love characters with depth, and big thanks to the author for creating such real, multidimensional characters!
Enzio himself is such a lovable thing, even when he gets into his Dom mode. I absolutely loved how he has both sides, a sweet and compassionate one, and a dark and dominant one. No wonder all the girls were going crazy for him in the book! And the sex scenes – oh, my God! Super steamy and sensual. All I can say is that I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book in the series now! Brilliant!

Holy freakin hottness... wow.. just wow.. I don't get rendered speechless often for a book but this was amazing. The characters I loved them so much. Yes, Lana got on my nerves at times.. I felt almost as if there were times she was clueless but I still loved her so much. She got so much stronger and amazing as the story continued. Enzio was just seriously hott and amazing and sexy.. As a dom and as a normal guy I loved him. There were a lot of characters and at times it did confuse me to remember who was who but overall I kept up with it pretty well and fell in love with each character that was introduced. The plot was hott, sexy, sad, happy, and so many other emotions. The sex... omg that was lovely. If you enjoy a good bdsm, sexy, erotica with a fun plot I highly recommend this start to this series. It is wonderful

Attention grabbing.

From the very first chapter, my attention was focused on the characters. Dom 241 snared my full concentration and intrigue---and I definitely want to know more!
Lana had me feeling frustrated to the point I wanted to grab hold of her shoulders and shake some sense into her.
Samuel---Lana's boyfriend---I just wanted to drive a knife through.
Enzio's sister Nadia is building strength from hate, fuelled by revenge. I have a feeling she will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming books of the series.
Enzio---*sigh---what can I say? I think I'm definitely in lust with Enzio---despite his almost submissive demeanour away from The Looking Glass where he is sought after Dom 241.

This genre of reading is not a genre I normally flock to at all. But since I'm aquanted with the author I felt the need. What a read indeed! Not only did he capture a good story concept but great integration with the main characters all having their lives intertwined in some way. The back stories on the characters helped to make this an effortlessly flowing story and a quick read. Not to mention, what a turn on! Many scenes in this book could definitely get your motor running. Campudoni knows how to describe sensual scenes in a complex way. Way to go! I can't wait to read the other three!

The first book in this series sucked me right in. The characters were very compelling and you can see the love Enzio has for Lana even if she doesn't. The sex and BDSM scenes were hot! and very sexy. You can tell the Author has done his homework. When i fall in love with a book and the characters i cannot put it down until i am done and by the end of this i just needed the next book in the series.

This is the first that I have read V.E. Campudoni and Linger didn't disappoint me. I look for four things to consider if a book is good. It must make you laugh, cry, want to throw it across the room and lastly not wanting to put it down. Linger passed all of these with flying colors. Enzio and Lana the main characters, have lots of road blocks but more due to the cluelessness of Lana. Enzio would be any ladies dream guy. Where Lana still could not figure out what she wanted or needed. Very steamy, hot scenes that were intriguing. As the story went on a few odd characters pop in but they didn't take away from the story. This is one book that any erotica and or BDSM reader would enjoy.
