Ahhhh, this was a lovely and beautifully-told story about teenage love. I loved Nao and Taiga from the beginning and am glad that they remained true to each other until the end. Whatever life threw at them, they could always rely on the other and shared so many cute and wonderful memories together.

A perfectly sweet love story <3

Ending a manga is always so bitter sweet - i feel like I always get WAY more invested in manga characters than I do with novels tbh.

This was SO GOOD, like, overall a great series. I'm not a big fan of Shojo and I obviously couldn't put this series down - it's probably my favorite shojo now. It is just too freaking adorable, and the time jump at the end had mE TEARY EYED UG

I highly, HIGHLY recommend this series!!

I loved how this ended. I really enjoyed all the side characters in this series as well. I just adore Misaki and Yashiro. And of course Nao and Tai are the most adorable couple ever. I love the moment where they were ‘squeeing’ together! So cute. I really like how the mangaka did the time jump transition. It felt like the whole story was Nao’s memories of high school as she was looking through a photo album. Such a cool idea. This series will definitely be staying in my collection. Such a short but sweet… you see what I did there?… series.

My stomach has butterflies and my heart feels like it's floating…

This was such a perfect ending to this series! I came in with different expectations then how the story actually ended up unfolding, but I honestly wouldn't have wanted this any other way. Well, except maybe more lovey dovey scenes. *winks* Hehe!

But in all seriousness, Taiga has been so kind and honest that I think what he did and the conversation he had with a certain someone was simply amazing. Seeing Nao also want to grow up and be more independet so she could take care of Sou was equally amazing. Nao grew so much these last two volumes and was so proud of her.

And YAY for Yashiro and Misaki! Misaki really rubbed off on me by the end and found I didn't dislike him as much as when we first met him. (I agree with the mangaka that he has a pretty face until he opens his mouth. LOL!) I'm glad Yashiro was able to be herself and that Nao was there to support her. I love seeing my romance unfold, but I'm all here for a good strong friendship in manga too! <3

I'm pretty sad that the series is over. It has been a whirlwind of an emotional adventure and have absolutely love this super sweet couple! Their growth was beautiful to watch and seeing the depth of their relationship grow was so special to see. I'm glad I picked up this series and read it. It is so very sweet and definitely recommend hopping on the feels train!

I loved this story💖. It is one of the sweetest and most beautiful I have ever read🥺. I have no words to describe the love I feel for Nao and Taiga. They have won me over since the first volume and I just want to protect them forever🥺💙. From the very first chapters, these guys already had me at their feet.

I loved their friends Yashiro, Misaki and Ahaya very much💚. They were always there for Nao and Taiga, through thick and thin✨.

The ending made me cry out of pure happiness😭💙. Just looking at the cover of this final volume again, my heart feels warm and I want to cry again😭💙.

Cute little mindless read about high school love (which I believe I am outgrowing)

Beautiful art style but there were a lot of odd scenes that would come out of nowhere ???

This series made me realize that there needs to be more cutesy college shoujos!!

As always, super cute and always makes me feel happy. Sad to see this is the last volume, but I'm super excited to read more from Meguro, and I hope more of her stuff is localized.

OH MAN I can't believe this is the last volume!!

This volume: 3/5
Overall Series: 3.75/5

Overall, I found this series pretty cute and charming. It was cute seeing Tai and Nao along with Misaki and Yashiro (and maybe even Futami and Sou?) grow and develop. I think this series had a cute good vibes-y type into it and I had a great time reading it.

With that being said, I did not enjoy these last 2 volumes as I did with the first. With regards to this volume, I felt like it was weird for the story to suddenly focus on Sou all of a sudden. While I did enjoy the last chapter, I still felt the pacing was a bit off on the other chapters. I wish they showed a bit more(?) moments with Taiga and Nao instead of having the last few chapters focus on Misaki and Yashiro and Sou.

Nonetheless, I really did enjoy reading this series. Also, Meguro-sensei's art style is reaaaaallyyyyyy cute to look at it. It was honestly a big factor for me. I think it contributed well with the pretty cute story this manga had. :)

Yeah, this one kind of fell apart at the end. Most of this volume is spent pairing up other characters, which I guess makes sense since mostly everything has been done with the main two by now. Then there's an awkward time skip to finish up the series.

Granted, I figured something this sweet and cute but lacking a plot would fizzle by the end. I think it just ran on a bit too long and the story could have been tightened up a bit. I enjoyed it, but I was in a diabetic coma by the end. Guess it was just too much and too sweet for me.

I honestly love this series. I don't want it to be over already. This is great for a binge read. Again, it has problems like every book, but its amazing anyway. The way she wrapped this series up, and the bonus content that gives insight as to their older selves, makes it so complex and amazing and still so cheesy and romantic. She tied up everything as much as she could and gave us a satisfying conclusion. Overall, I really love and recommend this series to anyone. Even if it is outside your reading genre, you will not be able to put it down.

NAO AND TAIGA ARE TOO PURE FOR THIS WORLD, AND I LOVE THEM WITH MY WHOLE HEART AND SOUL!!!!!!!!
This final volume made my heart burst with happiness on many levels. We see not only my children blossom and grow in their relationship. We see the people around them find happiness as well. Those last few panels of this series had me in tears, because I loved it so much. This series gave me the closure that I truly needed. I couldn't be happier!
PLEASE READ THIS SERIES!!!

Not much to say here. Cute ending, almost teared up in the final scene, a good ending to the series. An all around good, sickeningly sweet series, I recommend this for anyone looking for a quick cute series to binge.

This is my review for the entire series.

The story is about a girl who helps a supposed gangster by giving him an umbrella and some bandaids. He then falls in love with her and asks her to be his girlfriend with marriage in mind. This is an extremely cute romance! Really, the only way I know how to describe it is adorable. The romance is very sweet and pure and their friends are fun.

The characters are also adorable. Almost all of the main ones are awkward but they all become friends despite that. There wasn't anyone that I didn't like.

Overall, this is a quick, sweet read. I would enjoy it to people who enjoy sweet romances and likeable characters.

The so satisfying conclusion to the manga! I loved them all the way through, but am a little unsure why it took 9 years...? Symbolism that I don't understand maybe?

Anyway, really really love this couple and this story. This book becomes one of my definite favorites. I'm so very glad I picked it up!

Yashiro, after weeks of teasing, finally kisses Misaki. Both are shocked by it, and Yashiro ends up avoiding him for a few days. Yashiro goes to talk to Nao about it and finally confesses that she likes Misaki but hadn’t intended on kissing him originally. Nao encourages her to tell Misaki how she really feels, and she does by kissing him again and swearing more in the future. Nao and Tai have been going out for a year, and go out on a date to celebrate. They see Sousuke, Nao’s guardian at a diner with Tai’s mom, and Nao realizes she’s never thought about him having any kind of love life or wanting to be with someone. This comes into sharp focus once Nao and Tai meet Aoi, a former high school classmate of Sou’s and they see the reaction Sou gives when they see each other. Is love in the air for Sou? The end of the book fasts forward to seven years after their second year of high school and it is now Nao and Tai’s ninth anniversary. What surprises are in store for the couple? To find out, read the exciting conclusion of the Honey So Sweet series. Recommended for ages 13+, 5 stars.

I was so sad to learn that this was the final volume of this series! It seems way too short. Misaki and Yashiro’s budding relationship is so awkward and adorable, especially when he tries to be “be a man” and kiss her first, failing because she kisses him first again. But of course nothing is as cute as Nao and Tai together. The title is very appropriate in this volume, as we see how much the two of them care for each other – wanting to share the gifts they gave each other to other and being able to express their feelings to each other (i.e. Nao commenting that “just being with Tai makes [her] feel giddy”). I’m glad Sousuke gets some face time, he’s probably one of my favorite characters in the series because he’s so selfless, but there’s hardly any mention of him except in the context of Nao liking him more than an uncle in the beginning of the series, or as a passing mention when Nao does something stupid and he has to be her parent. Aww, I adore the part when Aoi tells Sou talk about how happy Nao looks and how that is entirely because of him and how he has raised her. And it was totally sweet when Tai told Sou that he is his role model, as Sou had been questioning himself being a good parent, and I think it was exactly what he wanted to hear. I’m not usually a fan of guys giving girls roses because it is pretty cliche, but I loved the enormous bunch Tai gave Nao at the end of the manga.

This series had a pretty great, and sweet, ending. I love how Yashiro and Misaki's relationship developed over the series.
The ending was very satisfactory and I am glad it ended how it did.
The whole series was sweet and uncomplicated which made for a nice change.
It was interesting seeing the 16 page addition of which this manga was based/drawn out. I also really liked the bonus scenes of post-story life for the characters.
At the end the author reveals that she had wanted Onise (Tai) as more of a hero type, and Sou to possibly have romantic instead of just familial love feelings for Nao.
Personally I don't feel there was any need for Tai to be more of a hero, this was not that kind of tale, he was a good guy sticking up for what he thought was right, but we don't need to have constant heroics. I am also really glad things didn't pan out for the author where Sou was concerned. I think it would have been unnecessary and awkward.
If you want a sweet feel good story I think this is a series I would recommend.

Two "meh" finales in one day. What a time. Let's get this out the way right now: we have a final volume that includes a time jump with no wedding (seriously, not even a photo). Disappointing to say the least. But we can forgive it for being able to watch Nao step up to the challenge of really growing up/taking care of herself in the hopes that her uncle won't worry so much about her happiness and start focusing on his own. Love that Misaki and Yashiro finally share a kiss!!! My heart!!! And that Onise tells Kogure that he does in fact plan to marry Nao. This whole series wasn't meant to be terribly deep, but it kind of ended up having subtle depth. Also, having this volume focus mostly on secondary characters was... a choice. However, on a positive note, the whole series shows the benefits of having a steady/stable relationship (not just romantic either; Nao is just as shaped by her friendships as she is by her boyfriend/fiancé) in your life. It's relatively short and oh so sweet (hence the name), some might say sickly so. But, as they say: everything in moderation.

This was a sweet end to the series. You can feel it wrapping up. But its a fitting place to end. There already was extension (as stated multiple times in forewords it was originally planned for 2 volumes), which could be seen in the formulaic plot line structure of new character gets an arc per volume. But explored its ideas well. I like the sudden exploration of
Outside of that we get a sweet ending that wraps up each main character's cute and sweet love story. The volume also comes with some funny 4-koma as well as the original 16 page oneshot which is a really cool addition!

I'm glad we got to see more of Sou, and got to know what happiness meant to him. While I wish this series was longer, the ending's just so sweet and perfect. ^^
