Writing is a way to make a lot of different people do exactly what you want them to do. When I can’t get my toddler to listen to me, I turn to my characters. They always cooperate!

I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and seven year old son. I have perfected the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry.

Ten Things to know about me:

1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)

2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.

3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.

4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.

5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.

6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.

7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.

8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)

9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.

10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

A great storyline.
Jessica is a real handful , so hard to read but such a pleasure at the same time.
Mathew is sweet , hard player at work .
But with Jessica he’s just mush tbh .

A lovely pairing with lots of chemistry and passion.

The series just keep getting better and better for me. I enjoyed reading about Jessica and Matt. I thought I kind of have an idea about what sort of characters they are based on book one but I was proven wrong. Matt and Jessica were even more than what I perceived them to be in the previous book.

Like always, I like how Danielle develop the romance between her characters. Also, I love seeing each character grow from when you first read about them until you came to the end. Jessica and Matt’s story tells not just a love story but also of dealing with the past, opening your eyes and your heart for a new door, learning to listen, hearing what is not being said and understanding not only yourself but most importantly the people you care about.

I like how Matthew went out of his way from doing what he knows (his way) to doing what would make Jessica happy even if it’s not the way he usually does things.

I really enjoyed the story and I’m looking forward to reading book 3.

Overall opinion:
The h is beyond insane throughout the book.
Example: I might go to jail but I don't want anyone to help me attitude.

Example: I will put myself into a bad situation just to see if I can walk away.

Example: If you wanted to marry me, I would run away... a few minutes later - never leave me.

I gave this a 2-star rating because the h and, at times, the H, would whine, moan, complain in their heads after every statement or question. I skipped forward at least 35 - 40% of the book and missed nothing.

Brief Summary: No need to expand on the author's summary.

Narrator(s) OK. At times, somewhat annoying

POV: dual

Overall Pace: slow

Instalove: a bit

H Rating: stubborn ass that is too into himself

h Rating: whiney, bitter, angry, obnoxious

Sad/happy/thrill/Angst/TSTL - 75% angst

Heat Level: 3/10

Descriptive Sex: some

OW/OM Drama: yes

Sex with OW/OM: no

Cheating: no

Separation: yes

Triggers: intelligent thought

Closure (HEA/HFN/Cliffhanger): HEA

Additional Thoughts? Ugh. Reading the next book... Hoping it is better!

Audio Review: Wild Eyes (Barrington Billionaires, #2) by Danielle Stewart (Author), Robin Rowan (Narrator)

Stewart stepped out of the Barrington world and gave voice to characters that were all her own.  Wild Eyes comes out swinging with a couple of the most frustrating characters I have ever met. Matthew can be as cool as a cucumber, but as ornery as a bull. He's all heart. He just chooses not to spread it around. Jessica is a firecracker who is not afraid to let her feelings show.  Their approach may be different, but beneath their differences resides similarities that could make them perfect for each other.  I loved these characters.  Attraction was a fierce battle that tempts you to lend your emotions to them. Stewart puts her heart on full display and invites readers to take a peek inside.  Having enjoyed the story, I was a tad disappointed in the audible narration. I felt it took away from a captivating romance.

Fast paced

Thoroughly enjoyable romantic comedy series. Matthew is left solely in charge of West Oil when his partner takes off on a vacation with his new fiance, Libby. Libby's best friend, Jessica, helps Matthew out by attending a charity event with him. As they get closer things do not go well.

Fast paced, happily ever after, set with the background of a large oil company and a movie set. Well defined characters and positions make this book easy to read and enjoy.

While this nook can be a stand-alone, it is better to read the first book in the series first so you know who the characters are.

Great book!

This is Wild Eyes, book 2 of The Barrington Billionaires, written by Danielle Stewart. I enjoyed the story. Matthew is a numbers guy, so basically a nerd. Jessica is a cosmetologist that works with some of the most rich and famous people of the world, and a bit of a wild child. Sparks were in danger of catching fire when Matthew and Jessica were thrown together by their best friends James and Libby. Will they find some flame retardant material or will they give in to the blaze? Good luck figuring it out, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Wonderful ending

I loved the ending! "Beautiful Warriors" is such a lovely and caring and touching concept. In a world where people need to care for others that just made life just that much better especially when dealing with something so devastating at times. The part of the book that drove me nuts was the fact that the girl wanted everyone to be a mind reader to figure out what she wanted. Just felt she was uber selfish.
The other part I would have liked more clarity on was his family beach house and his mothers issue that she seemed to be closed off from the world.

Wild Eyes

The meaning of opposites attracts is well displayed In this story as Matthew and Jessica work their differences out. What touched me as how Jessica got to do a job she loved and helped cancer patients in the process. Wish my mother had someone like her to help mother feel beautiful again.

Past hurts control present behavior in a way only true friends understand.

Jessica's best friend just got married and she's been helping Matthew with the business meetings for West Oil. This man is the first one that has been willing to respect her on her terms. Ever! Will this work even when she lets her guard down? Great characters and storyline!

Enjoyable read

I did enjoy the chase so to speak, but I thought jessica even though he showed her he really cared about her and how she was everything to him could of given him more, instead of being this is how I want it and that's that.

Barringtons continue

Danielle has given us a sexy romance. Mathew was the logical one. Jessica a high spirited women with left over conflict from a previous relationship. Together they had an explosive love story. This book is more enjoyable after reading Fierce Love.

This is book two of Danielle Stewart's Barrington Billionaire Series which also coincides with her aunties Ruth Cardello's and Jeannette Winters books of the same name and all the books link in with each other.

Mathew Kalling knows better than to ever get involved with a gorgeous party girl. You can’t be charged with running an oil empire while still think a wild woman is definitely a safe bet. But once Mathew’s had a taste, he just can’t seem to stay away from her.

Trying to sweep the gorgeous Jessica Thorne off her feet and hopefully she’ll head for the hills for Mathew. Nothing seems sends Jessica running so much faster than grand gestures and fairy-tale promises. Do fairy-tale promises exist? But when Jessica's back is against the wall will she finally take the risk and let Mathew and let love whisk her away?

This book is available in both the original version and a sweet version.

I Love how Danielle writes i wish more than 5*s were available.

Danielle Stewart - Wild Eyes (The Barrington Billionaires Book 2)

We met Mathew Kalling in Book 1 (Fierce Love) as well as Jessica Thorne who is Libby Saint-Jane best friend. Now, they get their own story.

Mathew may be considered “straight laced” who believes that everything has a place and his life will include the right women, 2.5 kids and a white picket fence. Of course, this is boring but safe. Mathew knows that he should never get involved with Jessica because he believes her to be a party girl.

The passion that they both feel when they are together is off the charts and Mathew doesn’t want to give her up. Jessica, however, will run a mile if she thinks that someone wants a forever. Mathew must Convince her that they are right for each other and that he wants her forever.

Jessica and Mathew were a gem. She had to find her own way into his workd and he in turn had to learn to listen and understand. All things money can't buy but the simplest thing will get the smile he was hoping for.

This book was about growing and closing the door on past hurts by facing them head on. Jessica did that but along the way Mathew lost the understanding and trust in her ability to do and fix things herself. Being a man got in the way but James was there to stop him and give sound advice as well as open up more to the friendship in which they had. Mathew grand gesture brought a tear to my eye because of the thoughtfulness of the need.

This is another winner in the Barrington series.

Book two from Danielle Stewart was just as good as the first. The author did a fantastic job plotting out the characters and scenes. You couldn't help but be sucked into the vortex. This book was Mathew and Jessica's story. They were introduced in Fierce Love (book one) and continued to add flare, spice and heat that left you fanning yourself with anything near. Definitely "cold shower" worthy. Danielle Stewarts contribution to the Barrington Billionaires series was a great addition. I would definitely recommend this series along with the synchronized series by Ruth Cardello and Jeannette Winters.

Ruth Cardello:
Book 1: Always Mine
Book 2: Stolen Kisses
Book 3: Trade It All

Jeannette Winters:
Book 1: One White Lie
Book 2: Table For Two
Book 3: One White Lie

Nice light read

I enjoy the flowing story between story characters and the authors. This book was good but I really wanted more satisfaction 're Pierre. I believe Jessica's impact had to be more significant on past clients in order to make it believable. It would have been nice to see this be the reason evil was defeated and good succeeded. There was a disconnect between the story's assertion that she helped people and those same people accepting her being black balled. Society treating women badly is reality, I like my fiction a little less real.

Jessica and Matthew were are destined couple. Jessica was hurt bad and shut herself off to the possibility to love for fear of being hurt. Matthew was a fixer and used to getting what he wanted because money was not an option. Matthew had to learn how to help Jessica without smothering her and Jessica had to learn how to let Matthew help her even a little. Together they complete each other and once they realize that the better they will be.

Matthew wants Jessica. He tries to wine and dine her. Feisty Jessica does not want to be wined and dined in fancy, expensive ways. Can Matthew figure out how to romance her to get her? Will Jessica teach Matthew that money does not necessarily bring happiness in dating? It's a wild ride getting Matthew and Jessica together. Especially with Jessica's narcissistic ex getting in the way.

Great read.

Wow another great read

Wow another great read from Danielle. Lol Mathew and Jessica should not work as a relationship he’s white and she’s black and it’s grey sometimes plus there are times where you think they really hate each other but the banter between them is brilliant but Mathew should learn to shut up sometimes lol just like he and James equal out each other in business so does Mathew and Jessica. Can’t wait to read more from this series

Great book 2 in the series. Loved the interaction of Mathew and Jessica. Looking forward to book 3 which I believe will be Emmitt's and Evie's story. Matthew's determination to show Jessica how much he wanted her and her determination to show him how she didn't need anyone to help her which brings them both together.
