I thought I was going to love this one, but I could not finish it.

The hero saves the heroine from an attack. He is a popular MMA popular. He is a known manwhore, but after 24 hours after meeting each other, the heroine more or less is contacting the hero and not the other way around.

There was nothing that made me feel connected to this couple. When the couple go back to the hero's house (24 hours after they meet), the most ridiculous conversation happens. "...I just don't want to be another notch on the bedpost..." (loc 9%) Bria already pretty much let him know she was going to have sex with him.

I wish they there was more between them. I felt NO CONNECTION at 9%.

Luke was ready to give up his whoring ways for Bria who really did not show any qualities that would make her stand out. The entire set up was weak. I thought the entire time that Luke thought she was an idiot.

Bria's friend was an idiot too.

Some of the verbiage was awkward. It felt amateurish which probably did not help with me feeling a connection between these two. You may love this book. This is my opinion.

Another fabulous book by Nikki Wild. This story starts out when Bria makes poor decision that causes her to be kidnapped/attacked by an assailant on her way home. Enter Luke, who literally saves Bria's from being attacked after he just happens to be jogging by. These two have an instant connection. She is a paralegal trying to work her way up to take the bar to become a lawyer. Luke is alpha to the extreme who also happens to be famous for MMA. After Bria's rescue, a kiss between these two set things in motion. As weeks pass these two are starting to fall for each other. Unfortunately Bria's ex, Kevin doesn't want to let her go and he will stop at nothing to get her back. He pops up to cause problems between Luke and Bria. Will Kevin's unhealthy obsession for Bria destroy the relationship she is building with Luke? I thought this book was sexy, action packed, suspenseful and captivating. There are some twists so be prepared. Overall I thought it was superb. ** I received this book in exchange for an honest review**

I'm not sure what I was expecting going in, and this isn't your typical fighter romance. I liked both Luke and Bria. They actually make each other stronger as individuals by becoming a couple. This is an insta love/lust read with a HOT alpha fighter. Their meeting was unique when Luke comes to her rescue and really does come full circle towards the end. I appreciated & felt their attraction and was on board with most of their actions. There were a few points throughout the story that just didn't sit right with me - much to do with the law firm she works for. I can't really put my finger on it, but it just felt "off" to me. We didn't get a lot of background info in the way of character development, but the characters were expressive enough to get the feel for who they were. This whirlwind romance was mostly fun and a real page turner. I enjoyed the story line and the pace of the book. I look forward to reading more from Nikki.

Unfortunately I found this to be poorly written and lacked any real warmth in the characters. How could you enjoy the characters when the hero Luke sweeps in to save Bria and within moments they're both contemplating sleeping with one another. Bria was just saved from being potentially raped and yet she's moments away from have sex with Luke. Some how that just doesn't seem likely.
Luke was way too cocky and I couldn't seem to like him very much. Bria's character seemed too fake and again I couldn't connect to her character either. I think if this had of been written better and didn't have so many editing errors it could have been a good book.

Luke was an MMA fighter who's entire life had been devoted to winning and proving that he's the best. He was cocky as hell, but it didn't seem forced with him. His confidence was pretty comical at times. He said what he meant at all times. His brazen personality was the perfect fit for Bria. She was more of a free spirit and she was completely unaffected by his fame. Bria let go of her inhibitions with Luke. I really enjoyed the characters, the storyline and the twists. The ending was totally unexpected, but a great touch to the story. I really enjoyed this book.

Hmmm....

Book finished at 28%. I liked it book, didn't expect the ending which made up for my dislike of the heroine. She was a jerk to him and naive.
The book needs editing and also MMA fighters do not wear gloves.
Also, how the hell are you almost raped but don't suffer from trauma or anxiety and jump right into a relationship.

I really didnt enjoy this book at all. For starters what was i thought was a lengthy ebook story line, it finished at the end at 27% ??? Its rushed, it isnt strong story line and i hated the characters. Hes an ego maniac and shes just dumb and weak. The plot bounced about to much leaving gaps for us to fill in the story line! . I didnt like this book at all.

Novella

I didn't know that this book was a novella, i would have liked to know that before I purchased it so I can be aware. I know understand why things went rapidly when it came to the story. This does come with bonus novellas but I was let down that I wasn't going to get more of the story between Bria and Luke I didn't want to read the other novellas.

27% is all

The story could have been SO MUCH MORE! This review is strictly for Knockout, NOT the other 2 short stories added. I have missed the days of FULL LENGTH books. If I had known there were 3 short stories I wouldn't have gotten this book. It was a good story but it was rushed and really it could have been so much more.

Absolutely

This book was absolutely not worth it. The 2 stars is only for the little bit of excitement during the end, other than that so not worth the time unless you have absolutely nothing else to do.

A must read. This book is the best Fighter romance I have read to date. Luke and Bria are the hottest couple. In my opinion Nikki Wild is one of the best authors of steamy romance. Cant' wait for her next book. Was delighted to receive ARC copy for a honest opinion.

Loved it

This was a well written book. I enjoyed the storyline. The characters were well described. MMA books are always entertaining and this one is exceptional. Very erotic and engrossing.

Did not finish

I couldn't even make it past the 15% Mark. The guy was an egotistical jerk and the girl was ridiculously naive one minute and femme fatal the next.

This had a lot of potential but fell quickly for me. I would have loved to seen less instalove and more story build up. I felt it got rushed and that set me off the story.
