Journalist Trevor Cayne is working on the biggest feature story of his career, and he’s on a road trip from his home in the lakeside Chicago suburb of Mirabelle Harbor to Colorado Springs to get the final details. But a quick stop to see his grandmother in Sapphire Falls threatens to derail his carefully constructed plans. Between Gram and her friends, the weather whims of Mother Nature, and the most stunning redhead he’s ever laid eyes on in his life, he may not make it further than the western edge of Nebraska.
Aspiring singer-songwriter Tina Marie Moran has vowed to leave Sapphire Falls for Nashville after this week’s big fireworks—she’s not even waiting for the Annual Town Festival to come to an end. She’s put her music dreams on hold for long enough and has no intention of postponing her plans yet again, least of all for another potentially untrustworthy man. But between her loving but meddlesome relatives and friends, a broken heart that’s in desperate need of mending, and a handsome stranger who can play her body like a virtuoso lead guitarist, she may find herself engulfed in a new passion that’s as strong as her love of music.
When it comes to their creative lives, both Trevor and Tina Marie know all about GOING FOR IT—but are they willing to put that same drive into what just might be the love of a lifetime?

Such a sweet, funny story! I love Sapphire Falls, everyone who knows me knows that. So this was such a great addition to the series. It definitely made me want to investigate Mirabelle Harbor to learn more about Trevor's friends. I'm excited for Tina Marie and her promising future in country music. So much fun at the summer Festival. Looking forward to reading more of the Kindle World stories.
This is a very sweet and romantic comedy that involves a meddling Grandma and some rhyming words that lead to more than just song writing.. I love Sapphire Falls!
I have long since discovered that when I want to sit down for an enjoyable afternoon or evening of reading, that one of my favored turn to authors in the contemporary romance genre is always Marilyn Brant. I can count on her romances to be well-written and entertaining, giving me much mirth and a relaxed and happy spirit, with a smile on my face (for more than one reason) at the end of her book. This held true for her latest offering and novella GOING FOR IT. Taking a character from her much loved Mirabelle Harbor Series and using him (along with a few other well-known character pass-throughs) to introduce a new series. I love the possibilities of the new series, SAPPHIRE FALLS, and I really love the first pairing of protagonists for the new series. The "road trip" romance of the protagonists brought on by the shenanigans of meddling grandparents had me laughing as the interference and match-making backfired and sent the young couple off on a wild and hot romantic trip across the country. Being able to lose myself in the daydream world that Marilyn builds for her readers is like sinking into a bowl of warm hot fudge and whipped cream, just what dream are made of. The storyline was engaging and kept me turning the pages. I was in stitches half the time, waiting to see what mess they would get themselves into next. But at the same time, I was moved by the earnestness of the fact that they were both hit by a bolt of lightening. How am I to question that? I knew from the first moment I saw my husband-to-be, that he would be the man that would walk with me into the sunset. And yes, we have been married almost forty years. So I do know that love can hit you like a bolt of lightening. He says that same thing. We met and were married two-and-a-half-months later. I give GOIG FOR IT, Marilyn Brant's Novella a FIVE STAR review. It is brief, but well worth the read.
Going for it, is a great short story romance, Trevor and Tina Marie are probably about as different as you can get, a writer with the chance to advance his career and a small town girl with dreams of becoming a country singer, It even sounds like a country music song, Fate intervines, with the help of Trevor's Gram & Mother Nature. These 2 are about to change their fates and they have no idea what's about to hit them. This is a great love story Trevor is finally ready for love, all his friends back home all have found their other half and he is tired of being alone, Tina Marie thought she found her soul mate but he turned out to be a total jerk who cheated on her and since it's small town life, the WHOLE town knows what he did and with who! Trevor is passing through and decides to visit his Gram who is having one of her book club meetings ( one of my favorite part of the books, lol funny!) who along with Tina Marie's Aunt conspires to get these guys together. Well Gram doesn't count on them catching on so fast, and Trevor and Tina Marie turn the tables on her and the rest is a really great love story! I totally loved this story, my only complaint was the fact that the book wasn't longer!
Marilyn Brant's offering to the Erin Nicholas Sapphire Falls series gives us some new characters to love. Aspiring country music singer Tina Marie is all set to head out of Sapphire Falls and head to Nashville seeking fame and fortune in the industry. Journalist Trevor makes a pit stop in SF to visit his Grandmother on his way to a super important meeting--one that could make his career. When Tina Marie and Trevor meet at his Grandmother's house during a book club meeting--they hit it off so well. Little did they know that Grandma Bernie and Tina Marie's Aunt Debbie were already plotting behind their backs. An unexpected short illness and a car issue (thanks Bernie) put the pair together for the trip to Colorado Springs. Mother nature sure didn't want them to have an easy trip either. Neither had any plans to fall in love or end up in any new commitments but there is something in the air in Sapphire Falls that causes people to meet and fall in love so quickly.
This book has so much humor and sweet moments...you will for sure fall in love, too.
I have fallen in love with Marilyn Brant's Mirabelle Harbor series, and this is a kinda crossover Sapphire Falls, a new town she introduces us to meets her Mirabelle Harbor. I really enjoyed it. A SEXY, FUN, romantic...Perfect Summer read story. Trevor and Tina Marie's chemistry was instant. I loved both the hero and heroine. I liked that Tina Marie, our heroine was an up and coming country singer, and Trevor was a journalist. It was fun seeing Blake again, (from, You Give Love a Bad Name), who is friends with Trevor. I thought it was funny that Trevor had a thing for red headed women, which is one of the things that attracted him to Tina. Just a really fun, romantic read. Like I said, PERFECT for a Summer read. Can't wait to see what Ms. Brant has in store next for us. I received an ARC PDF version copy from the author for an honest opinion.
Lots of laughs when two people who finally follow their dreams wind up together on a road trip that feels.
Trevor Cayne is following his dream of writing a story for a big publication when he takes a detour to see his grandmother in Sapphire Falls. Tina Marie Moran, recently jilted by her fiancé for her best friend has decided to follow her dream of being a singer/songwriter in Nashville. A meddling grandmother arranges for them to spend time together while traveling to Colorado Springs.
Could you rearrange your life for someone you’ve known a week? Find out in this great short story about listening to your heart.
Trevor and Tina Marie are so wonderful once they got together through the help of his grandma. They are both trying to figure out what they want in life. He sees her at the infamous book club meeting at his grandma's house when he stops by to say hi on his trip to Colorado springs. He hangs out with Tina Marie and his grandma does things to make him stronger. In true Sapphire Falls form love hits them hard. The festival is going on and they enjoy it. Love his friends and what they do. They seem so awesome together . Love these stories about this town and the people in it.
I love Marilyn's books so when I found out she was writing a Sapphire Falls novella, I was so excited! This novella is a crossover between Mirabelle Harbor and Sapphire Falls. Trevor is a journalist from Mirabelle Falls who makes a stop in Sapphire Falls to see his Grandma Bernadette and he meets Tina Marie. After an unfortunate incident Tina Marie offers to drive Trevor to Colorado for his meeting. I loved Trevor and Tina Marie together! This was such a great story! Bernadette cracked me up with her antics. You should definitely read this book!
This was the first story I've ever read by Marilyn Brant, but I'm sure it won't be my last. This was a short and sweet addition to the Sapphire Falls Kindle World. The hero and heroine were likeable, and there was some interaction with established Sapphire Falls characters. I liked that the hero was willing to make sacrifices and changes in his life in order to be with the heroine and allow her to pursue her dreams, and not just the other way around. Over all a good read.
I was lucky enough to get to read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Marilyn has another winner here. Trevor is on a road trip and stops at his grandmother's house to see her. There he meets Tina Marie. Tina Marie is about to leave this town for good. When she meets Trevor, she can't help but wish things were different. The chemistry between Trevor and Tina Marie is amazing, and I loved their story. A definite must-read!
What a sweet love story!! Going For It brings together two of my favorite series, Sapphire Falls and Mirabelle Harbor. (Blake is in here too) Trevor and Tina Marie are adorable together. Now I want to hear that song she sings, being that she is a singer/songwriter. Definitely worth reading, especially if you're a fan of either series.
A Cute romance that is set in Sapphire Falls. Trevor, stops in Sapphire Falls to visit his grandma, meddling, when he meets up with Tina, an aspiring country music singer with a broken heart. Trevor and Tina go on a road trip, and soon find out what passion they have for each other. A perfect afternoon read.
Trevor is passing through Sapphire Falls to an interview that could open the doors to his dream job. Tina is leaving Sapphire Falls to Nashville to pursue a singing dream. Neither are in a place to change paths nor meet someone, but sometimes that is when life really happens. A wonderful read and great compromises and communication.

Trevor stops in Sapphire Falls to visit his grandmother and meets Tina Marie, a singer songwriter who is ready to leave home and head to Nashville. Question is, will they have to part so soon after meeting? Or will love and the magic of Sapphire Falls win out?
Loved Trevor, Tina Marie and this trip back to Sapphire Falls SO much!! Marilyn Brant's characters always come to life for me and this wonderful novella gave me all the feels!
