Not my usual type of read. Director in Hollywood, interns, a professor, actors, sketchy and evil characters with lots of sexual scenes played out but also in thoughts. Alex, the intern, becomes involved with the director, Nash, and he's more than domineering. Seems to take over her life.
Lots of sinister dealings, found money, expensive apartments and clothes that don't fit Alex's current lifestyle but does Nash's. Hard to like characters with twists and turns to the story and lots of darkness. Some closure but didn't go far enough but that could be because this is part of a series.
C.J. Thomas is a new to me author but I don't think I'll be reading more of this author's books since they are way out of my comfort zone.

He's the hottest diector in Hollywood. I'm his intern. On my first day on the set he humiliates me in front of my peers. All I want is to learn from the best and now it seems he's targeted me. I can't win, story of my life until I literally fall over a bag of money on the street. This is life altering!

Not really excited about this book
I know I didn't read over 700 pages in a few short hours. Even the cliffhanger ending was blah and I can't find vol. 2

Interesting. Very quick read, DOES end on a cliffhanger. Apparently this is a serial story, you must purchase the other volumes.
There is an explicit sexual scene and some dirty thoughts throughout.
What I don't like is that things are alluded to in conversations, but so far there's no backstory to it. I'd rather have more of that upfront and I hope the situation is explained further in the series.

Nash is every woman's dream guy. Big time director/producer. Alex is a young woman who has had a dream of being a director/producer, but is dead broke. She gets in a internship to work with Nash, and absolutely loves it. The only thing she thinks Nash is a grade A jerk. At least at the end of book one, it was revealed that Nash was definitely hung like a horse like the rumors said. Can't wait to see what happens in book two, especially with all the money and mystery around it.

Wow!
The beginning of this series is hot and exciting. I usually pass up the Hollywood and Rocker subgenre but I was able to get most of the entire set in a special promotion and am so glad I left my comfort zone. I like thee direction that the plot is taking and am drawn to the development of the characters. I believe we have a real winner here!

Alex and Nash are in different worlds. She's an intern and he's a rich director.
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what this book would entail. 100% truth? I was blown away by how sucked in I was with a short story. I absolutely can not wait to read what happens next!

very short story but there is a good change this is going to be a steamy series. will continue to read. Alex is wanting to be a director so she finds herself working for Nash and even though she has a brilliant idea her self esteem thinks she is no good.

It is a quick read, perfect for the train or bus. I liked it. Nash and Alex are a hot couple and the story is an intense one.
