Solid 366 day devotional. While the rating doesn't seem very high, I'm usually not a fan of daily devotionals. This is practical, often seems to hit the nail on the head for what I needed that day, and a great way to kick off meetings.
I loved hearing about others in their recovery journey. It gave me hope and insights, perspective on what to do if... Or this situation happens do this. It has been an honest growth process for me that has helped me see recovery is a forever process and keeps God close for real healing and progress in your life with God in the center as your forever peace and love in your life.
Although this devotional is tailored for those dealing with substance abuse. This work contains many different spiritual tools for mature changes with spiritual formation.
This book is awesome. What a great reminder of God's merc, grace, and forgiveness every day of the year. It is one devotional I will return to time and time again.
Book Description The Celebrate Recovery Devotional is 366 original brief readings, designed as a daily reinforcement and encouragement for millions who are on the road to recovery. Celebrate Recovery is a great collection of daily devotionals for anyone who is struggling to overcome addiction, hurt or a habit they just can’t escape from. I requested this book in hopes that it would help me with my emotional/mindless eating and the feeling of punishment I feel when I can’t eat something everyone else can eat. I find myself going over each devotional more than one day so that I really grasp the scripture lesson behind each devotional. I found the stories to be very uplifting and made it easier for me to stay on the right path each day. If I felt myself feeling down or going in the wrong direction I would get out the book and read a few of the passages again to put myself in the right mindset. I recommend this book for anyone going through a struggle.
