In the follow up to "She Didn't Mean to Do It,' Amber Henry thought she had turned over a new leaf when she escaped her abusive ex-boyfriend, Lionel Martin. Amber's new line of focus is on her husband, Angelo and their child. Amber may have forgotten about her past but the people in it did not forget about her. Her previous encounters come back to haunt her newfound lifestyle. It's a twisted story of betrayal, murder, and deception that resurfaces to destroy her new family. Be careful of the promises you make to others or you may face grave consequences.
The author should never have attempted this sequel. I should have never read it. I needed to see how this series ended, but now wish it was one of those installments that never released. This book was not edited; don't waste your time or money on an author who shows such disrespect to readers.
Just when I thought it was over, more bad guys pop up. Lionel being one of them. Amber took her life back once and for all. Patrice may have gotten some, but her time was up in the blackmail department. Chris gave good cops a bad name with his antics.
