Abducted was such a high energy and high stakes story! It’s the third in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series, yet is easily read as a stand alone novel.
I enjoyed the idea of these two former high school sweethearts being thrown together into such a dangerous situation. I also felt that the separation between them was even greater than broken hearts from the past due to their very different beliefs about whether God existed or not, and if He did, why certain things happened. The interaction between these two characters was really good, as was the romantic tension. The bad guys are very bad and crazily scary! This was a fun and exciting novel to read.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
High school sweethearts cross paths in a most unlikely way. Never expecting to see one another again, the two are thrown together into chilling events that could kill them both. Drug lords and missing art are tangled webs woven throughout this nonstop suspense thriller! The wild chase toward a safe haven turns into one trap after another. There's not a dull moment in this fast paced book.
Characters are well developed, even more so if you've followed along with the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series. I've read every one, and each can be read as stand alones or to read as a series. Each book keeps the reader guessing until the very end. With each of Dana Mentink's books, I can't seem to read fast enough, and forget about laundry, cleaning and even, eating!
If you love reading a thrilling and chilling suspense novel, this is one you won't want to miss. Keep a pot of coffee handy and prepare to stay up late with this one!
Disclaimer: The author sent me a copy of this book as a gift. There were no expectations for a positive review. All expressed opinions are mine alone, and no monetary compensation was received for this review.
Okay, wow, this is definitely one of the better Harlequin romances that I have read! I mean, according to my Goodreads books, I've read two of this author's works before and haven't really liked either, and yet the ideas (based on the summaries) of her books sound so interesting that I keep a few of them on my to-read list regardless.
So...either this book just hit me the right way at the right time, or maybe it's just better than her other two works?
Ahem, I have no idea, but regardless, this was a great read! Cue the following aspects that I really liked:
+ the characters were likeable and actually had a pretty complex backstory that contributed to their chemistry + the faith aspect towards God was well done, with a great moment of realization for the hero and unyielding faith by the heroine (hoorah!) + mysterious island setting (which I love!) + treasure hunt + drug lord vs. insane millionaire antagonists (because YEAS, we need BOTH!) + fast-paced action + CONTINUOUS fast-paced action + constant danger + high stakes + clear underdog heroes who have a lot to get through
Somehow or other, all this just WORKED for me, and therefore is definitely one of the higher-up harlequin reads that I've ever partaken in.
Wow. Don’t plan to sleep once you’ve started reading this one. In fact, just go ahead and scooch to the edge of your fave reading chair because that’s where you’ll end up from word one until nearly the end of Abducted. The suspense is riveting, and the action scenes could transfer easily to the big screen. There is NO RELAXING… so don’t.
The romance in Dana Mentink’s latest is sweet and heartfelt, though there’s not a lot of spare time for smooching or examining one’s feelings because of the heretofore already-mentioned action and suspense. (THE HELICOPTER SCENE! I still have not recovered. Goodness. So well written.) Sarah and Jett are high school sweethearts who parted ways but their feelings didn’t cease to exist so easily. At the center of their breakup are their core differences, namely in their beliefs about God and their feelings toward Him. Watching this tension play out on the pages of Abducted gave an added dimension of “suspense” as well as sweetness to their story.
Bottom Line: Fast-paced, high-stakes action combines with stellar suspense, sweet romance, and “real” rubber-meets-the-road faith in Dana Mentink’s Abducted. I love everything Dana writes, but this book is one of my favorites. (Well, this and Fetching Sweetness. And Seek and Find. And… Yeah, ok. I should probably just leave it at “I love everything Dana writes” lol) If you like Susan Sleeman, Dani Pettrey, or Lynette Eason, make sure you grab a few of Dana’s books to read too!
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.)
Oh my goodness gracious... Gasp!... Nooooooooooooo... Ack!... Phew... Big sigh of relief... Alrighty then... Turn page and repeat.
Serious edge-of-your-seat stuff -- both in the relentless suspense and the rekindling of a tortured love. And can I just say "hunky reformed bad boy with 'tude"? Romantical bliss. Fast-paced, action-packed and toe-curling good.
An awesome addition to the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series. You don't have to read the books in order -- each one is great as a standalone but it's such a wonderful series so why wouldn't you want to read them all?
4.5 stars I loved this one! Sarah's story is interesting and very hard to put down. The ending did keep me up at night. I really liked Jett's POV and spiritual awakening. He was an interesting character and I loved his reckless courage. There were lots of nail-biting scenes in this one!!
Oh my goodness, I literally COULD NOT put this book down once I started it! This is my first time reading Mentink, but it will certainly not be the last, WHAT a page turner!!
Dominic Jett stumbles into the clinic Sarah works in, holding an unconscious man. Jett and Sarah were high school sweethearts until she broke it off with him. She's in shock to see him again, but immediately goes to help his injuries when three men with bats arrive at the clinic looking for trouble and insisting on getting custody of the stranger Jett brought with him. It only gets crazier from this point and DOES NOT SLOW DOWN. (I kept thinking, how are they going to escape this one? forget going to the bathroom or eating, have to know more!)
I was truly amazed at how determined and fearless Jett is, not caring what happens to him as long as Sarah isn't harmed. Sarah is just a little woman based on the book's description, but her faith is amazing from the start and unrelenting throughout. I seriously kept thinking they would both be killed instantly but then another plot twist enters and even though they are constantly in danger, they keep surviving.
Also, this book is part of a series, but it can still be enjoyed as a stand alone, which is my favorite kind of Love Inspired Suspense story :)
The story moves from drug lord trouble to a house on an island in the states to a lighthouse and beyond. Jett and Sarah are transported by jeep, boat, LOOK OUT for the helicopter crashing, to a wine cellar prison and then another boat. It's non stop action and you're RIGHT THERE with them as the intense action doesn't slow down. I was exhausted reading about their exhaustion, but they keep the courage and faith alive long enough to figure out the mystery they find themselves involved in and of course, surviving the bad guys.
I was also deeply touched by a few scenes where Sarah talks about God to a dying patient and has a sweet moment of peace with Jett after a brush with close death. It was also wonderful that Jett and Sarah are able to get closure from their past hurts, which are both traumatizing and heartbreaking. I seriously had NO IDEA how this story would end, but truly enjoyed the dangerous journey these two endure. I also loved Sarah's sisters and Marco immediately even though they only make a few brief appearances. I want more Mentink books after this!!
With thanks to the author for the review copy provided, all thoughts expressed are my own.
Still reeling from her father’s death six months ago, Sarah Gallagher finds herself face to face with a person from her past, Dominic Jett! As he bursts into her medical mission clinic with a badly beaten man on his shoulders, they find themselves kidnapped and held against their will as two formidable foes fight over a near priceless piece of art stolen by the unconscious man Jett tried to save. Can these two find a way to escape & stay alive to see another day?
Right from the get-go, this will have your heart racing! The author doesn’t let you breathe normally until the very last page. I loved catching back up to Sarah—the youngest Gallagher daughter—as she battles the after-effects of the fatal car accident, where not only her father dies, but to which she was the driver. Only through her faith in God can she begin to put the broken pieces of her life together. When her high school sweetheart Jett comes bursting back into her life, they both are forced to face their pasts to survive. She’s always had her faith in God to cling to in life, he’s always scoffed at her simpleton beliefs. These two opposites must find a way to work together to stay alive and find a way to get help.
A thrill ride from the start, chilling as they face two madmen and their goonies with no way to escape, it will keep you on your toes, invested in the story! I also appreciated the authors strong faith-theme and reminders of my own walk that I must cling to God in times of trouble. Just as Sarah’s words of God’s truth begin to echo in Jett’s heart, it resonated deeply in my own. A fantastic conclusion to the Pacific Private Eyes series!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. A favorable review was not required and all views are strictly my own. *
Another great book that will keep you up at night!
From the opening page and throughout the book, this story keeps you on your toes! Do not plan to read it until you are okay with not putting it down! I kept telling myself, "a few more pages...then I'll read some more tomorrow" but I couldn't do it. There is so much action that keeps the story moving at a great pace--it leaves the reader hooked and wanting more! I found myself following the various details and characters...trying to figure out who was The Red Lady and who was the mysterious patient? Sarah and Jett were ping ponged back and forth between captors as we learned more and more about what they both want.
I love Sarah Gallagher's strength. Right off the bat we see her dedication to her patient. I was surprised at the lengths she went to in order to protect him. It really makes you think about strength and what values we hold most dear, such great writing!
And of course, Sarah's old friend, Jett, is the perfect protector for her! There is so much pain he carries throughout the story, how will Sarah ever reach him? Or will they even have a chance at reuniting after so many years? The non-stop action keeps the reader at the edge of their seat wondering and asking so many questions.
This is a fabulous story and I highly recommend it! And don't forget to check out the entire Pacific Coast Private Eye Series--Dangerous Tidings and Seaside Secrets-- each tell the story of one of the Gallagher sisters.
I received a copy of this book for my honest opinions and review. The opinions are my own.
Abducted is a Pacific Coast Private Eyes: Sisters Fighting Crime book by Dana Mentink. It is a Love Inspires Suspense by Harlequin. I received this as an advance print book and promised a review. Sarah Gallagher is finishing up working as a mission nurse in Mexico. She will be leaving in a few days and feels she will definitely miss her work here; but she will be starting a new career in her family’s private investigation company. She feels she needs to go this since her father was killed. However, she has a job to finish here. She never expected for an old high school flame would burst through the doors of the clinic with an unconscious man followed by three men with guns who are intent on getting to the unconscious man. Sarah will do whatever is needed to stop them. Dominic Jett has entered Sarah’s life again. This time with an injured man and three thugs following him. He just couldn’t let the three men beat the other man to death no matter what the reason. Jett had his life in order, finally, when he was injured and couldn’t return to his job. He had known Sarah in high school but left unexpectedly. Now he was back in her life fleeing from a drug lord and someone else. Who were they fleeing from? What does the injured man have to do with them? Will they ever get out of this alive?
I only just discovered Dana Mentink's books less than a year ago, I believe. Where have I been? She is a wonderful writer! Abducted, part of her 'Pacific Coast Private Eyes' series, follows another Gallagher sister, Sarah, with this book. Sarah has been serving as a missionary nurse, just six months after driving in the car crash that killed her father. She is still doing a bit of healing herself after 4 weeks in the hospital from injuries sustained in the accident. She is serving as a nurse in a clinic in a small Mexican town, when someone she knows brings in a wounded man. The person she knows is Dominic Jett, former high school boyfriend. Things begin to go from bad to worse and both she and Jett and the wounded man end up kidnapped by thugs.
Dana Mentink created great characters here. From the very first page, they seemed real. And let me tell you, the action does NOT let up at ALL! From beginning to end, it was absolutely riveting. Totally believable scenario, and I could barely put it down. I was just mesmerized by the action in the book.
Another great book from Dana Mentink that her readers will not want to miss. And everyone will love!
Abducted is book three in Pacific Coast Eyes series. This story is about the sister Sara. I absolutely loved this novel . The story and the characters , both are well written and you feel like you are right there with them. Dana Mentink did not disappoint me. She captured me right at the start and did not let go till the end. Abducted is packed full with action , suspense, and romance. Sarah's finishing up her mission nurse training in Mexico . Her family runs a Private Investigating Company . An old high school sweetheart burst through her medical doors with an injured man. Dominic is running from some really bad men who will stop at nothing to get what they want. Sarah and Dominic go on the run trying to stay ahead of them , but still get abducted. can Dominic save Sarah from getting killed . What do they want ? No way to get in touch with anyone. No one to help. Mentink keeps you on the edge of your seat and you are trying to read faster to see what is going to happen next. I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review.
Abduction, drug lords, missing art, a madman, a chase, reunion of high school sweethearts combine to make a riveting storyline in this drama, mystery and intrigue. The characters are vivid, well developed, interesting and very real. The tension is thick and well sustained with plenty of thrills, chills, unpredictable. Abducted is book #3 in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes Series. Sarah Gallagher is in Mexico completing training as a mission nurse. Her family is involved in running a Private Investigation Company. Dominic Jett brings an injured man into the clinic where Sarah is working with a band thugs hot on his tail. The story takes off from there keeping the reader on the edge of their seats!!! I volunteered to read the book. Thanks to the author for the book. My opinion is my own.
Abducted is a Love Inspired Suspense in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series by Dana Mentink. This book is absolutely riveting with all the suspense and unexpected happenings throughout this book. The story and characters are so well written that I felt as though I was part of the story living it out. This story is full of love, heartache, pain, love, faith and learning to trust. I so enjoyed reading Sarah’s and Dominic’s story. Be sure to order your copy of Abducted by Dana Mentink today. Remember it also makes a great gift. I received a complimentary copy of this book. This review is my honest opinion.
What a great book. Very strong characters and lots and lots of suspense. I loved how Sarah was openly sharing about relying on God throughout all that is going on in this book. Never knew from one moment to the next what was going to happen. Highly recommend. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This is the 2nd book I read by Dana Mentink. I loved ❤ this book's storyline. I loved ❤ the Christian theme in this story. I loved ❤ the action in this story. I loved ❤ Sarah's character. I loved ❤ Jett's character. I loved ❤ the ending. Awesome job Ms. Mentink.
I was recently sent a copy of “Abducted” by Dana Mentink in exchange for my honest opinion about the book. I have recently discovered the Love Inspired Series. It was through a giveaway that I was entering that I found them. I am hooked. They are a Christian branch of Harlequin (I know, not something you thought would be possible.) They have three categories. Love Inspired (mostly clean romance), Love Inspired Suspense (Suspenseful romances of Danger and Faith) and Love Inspired Historical (Historical Romances of Adventure and Faith). The book “Abducted” is part of the Pacific Coast Private Eyes Series. This book is the 3rd in the series. I have not read the other books and I had no problem following along.
Here is the synopsis from the back of the book: When the high school sweetheart she never expected to see again bursts through the door of her medical mission clinic, nurse Sarah Gallagher can't hold back her shock. But Dominic Jett isn't there to catch up. He's trying to save a life, and the thugs on his tail will stop at nothing to catch him. Now abducted and imprisoned on a remote island, Sarah and Jett become pawns in a tug-of-war between a powerful drug lord and a devious madman. And their only chance for survival is working together to find the valuable painting the dangerous men are searching for. But with someone trying to kill them at every turn, can they locate it in time to keep their reunion from turning fatal?
My Review
I could not put this book down. It had me instantly hooked as soon as I started reading. The character descriptions had me feeling like I was friends with them. This book is jam packed full of action, suspense and romance. It was an easy read, even though I had not read the previous books in the series. It was fast paced, suspenseful and I found myself sad when the book concluded. Sarah, one of the main characters is open about her faith and shares how she relies on God. I really enjoyed seeing this character stay positive and trusting toward God in moments of turmoil. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a clean, suspenseful edge of your seat mystery. Disclaimer: While I was gifted a copy of the book from the author – all opinions are my own.
This book is the third book in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes Series. I love Dana's work and this series has been awesome. The story is well written, action packed. and full of intrigue. I always enjoy how Dana weaves her faith throughout her work, much like a tapestry. I know that you will love it. Sarah Gallagher is working in a small mission in Mexico when her former high school sweetheart crashes through the door carrying and injured man. The mission is then attacked and they must flee through an underground tunnel. Betrayed by her friend; Sarah, Jett, her patient are abducted and taken to an remote island. Now they have two enemies; the man who abducted them and the drug lord that had originally injured Jett and her patient. Why does everyone want this man? Dominic Jett had been in love with Sarah nine years ago and he thought Sarah was in love with him but she broke up with him saying she couldn't watch him self-destruct. He joined the Navy but after a terrible injury was discharged and was trying to keep an eye out for Sarah as he ran a diving operation in Mexico. Now he was captured along with Sarah, how was he to keep her safe? How did they get out of this mess? There seemed to be no way to get help from her families private eye business. A journey of restoration and forgiveness as these two try to fight against the two men using them as pawns in their evil game. God has a plan for these two and as they learn to trust and lean on Him He makes a way where there is no way. God has a plan for you too. He will make a way for you, just give Him control and ask Him to do something with your life. You will be amazed
I always hate it when a good book ends, but knowing that there is more to come makes it a lot easier. I have been anxiously anticipating another book in Pacific Coast Private Eye series because I love the characters. They Gallagher sisters are strong, intelligent women, who fight to overcome life's challenges with love, courage and a lot of spunk. (The male characters are pretty awesome as well!) "Abducted" is a real page turner. The book is incredibly fast paced; lots of action and plenty of twists and turns. Sarah and Jett have a natural chemistry which creates an interesting dynamic. They were high school sweethearts from different societal backgrounds. She was the good girl and he was the bad boy, (mainly because of the environment he was raised in,) but they truly loved each other. Sarah finally has to break off the relationship because it is just too hard to watch him self destruct. They reconnect years later under incredibly trying circumstances, but they work together to overcome multiple challenges, and a life threatening situations. One of the things that I always enjoy about Ms. Mentink's books is that reading them always strengthens my personal faith in Christ. They are uplifting and encouraging and they make me feel so happy. I have to admit that a couple of times, I just couldn't stand the suspense so I read ahead to see if everything was going to be okay. I highly recommend this book!
So I'm on vacation this week except for having to work one day for inventory. In tired hindsight it probably wasn't the best idea to start reading this book the day before the one day I had to work this week. Why? Because I stayed up way too late reading. I just couldn't put this book down and go to bed at a decent time when I knew I had to get up extra early the following morning. This book caused me to have no respect for the next day and kept me up well past my bedtime reading to the very. last. word.
This book has well-developed and complex characters. I always enjoy reading about the characters that Dana Mentink creates. They seem real and as if they could easily be someone you are passing while walking down the street. The characters are flawed too and that makes them even more real.
This book has nonstop action from the first page to last. The story has so much action and such a good flow to it that it was easy to keep on reading to find out what happened to Sarah and Jett. There is never a dull moment for these two characters or those reading about them.
I definitely recommend this book along with the other two in the series. Any of the books in the series can be read as standalones. If you are looking for a quick, intense read pick up a copy of this book today!
I received a free copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review.
Abducted is the third in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series by Dana Mentink. As I have come to expect from her books, I was hooked from page one. Under unexpected circumstances, high school sweethearts Sarah Gallagher and Dominic Jett meet again in Mexico. Jett shows up in the medical mission hospital where Sarah is working with a man, Del Young, who he saved from some other men who were trying to kill him. Sarah and Jett quickly figure out that there are multiple men after Mr. Young because he knows the whereabouts of a very expensive painting that both men are after. After some betrayal and an unexpected turn of events, Sarah and Jett end up being abducted along with Del Young and taken to a remote island. Readers will definitely keep turning the pages to find answers to the following questions...how will they escape, where is the painting and who will find it first, and can Sarah and Jett rekindle that long lost first love.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters and seeing first hand their battles with difficult pasts, the loss of loved ones and their honesty about the struggles with their faith while staying on the edge of my seat to see what was going to happen next. This book kept me guessing until the very end! I would definitely recommend it. Once again, Dana Mentink found that perfect balance of romance and suspense!
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review
Whoa, did this book grab my attention from the first sentence!!!!! Imagine you are an American nurse in a small clinic in Mexico and suddenly a man bursts through the door with a body slung over his shoulder! You realize two things at once.....first, the man who bursts through the door was your high school sweetheart (what in the heck is HE doing in this little Mexican town???), and second, you realize both men are injured and your little clinic cannot handle the severity of these injuries! So begins "Abducted" and I had a hard time putting it down after that engrossing scene! Sarah (the nurse), and Jett (the high school sweetheart) begin an adventure like they could never imagine, involving drug lords, abduction, being in a cell on a California island, witnessing a helicopter crash, being held at gunpoint and so many other wild & crazy things that you wonder how two people could survive it all! I really enjoyed getting to know Sarah and Jett. The back stories on both of them were fantastic. I was rooting for them to get back together through the whole book! Jett was such a wonderful character and had been through such a tough life. I heartily recommend this book! Even though it's a book from a series, you don't have to read the other books at all to understand what's going on. Every book is a stand alone!
Abducted is the third book in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes Series. Imagine your high school sweetheart bursting through the doors at your medical mission clinic in Mexico, and he is carrying another man who is injured on his shoulders who got beat up by thugs that are chasing after him and follow him to the clinic. Then you two end up abducted and stranded on an island and your dealing with a drug lord and a madman who wants a painting. Trying to survive and not be killed at every turn all while searching for a painting. Sounds interesting doesn't it? Want to know what happens? Well all I can say is you need to read Mrs. Mentink's Abducted novel and find out, it had me turning page after page wanting to find out the outcome. I always enjoy Mrs. Mentink's novels, they never disappoint, when I am reading its like I am on the journey with the characters and I can feel their pain, sorrow, happiness, etc. Just like with all the other novels and stories, this one had me abducted on the first page.
I am part of Mrs. Mentink's review team and was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Caught in the violent crosshairs between two warring crime entities is not how Sarah Gallagher envisioned completing her medical missions term. Sharing the ordeal is former Navy SEAL Dominic Jett, Sarah's high school sweetheart, and the very person who brought trouble to her door when he delivered a wounded civilian to Sarah's medical clinic. It seems that the injured man has information that two people want, and neither will not allow anyone or anything to stand in their way of getting it.
Dominic Jett's life has been a series of failures; he couldn't protect his mother, his wild, unbridled behavior allowed Sarah to walk away, and an unfortunate accident recently ended his Navy career. He has no use for the kind of God that Sarah clings to, even prays to; her faith always has been, and apparently will continue to be, a stumbling block between them. But staring death in the face has a way of changing a man's perspective; but, will it change Jett's?
Get swept along the coasts of Mexico and California, as Dana Mentink continues her "Pacific Coast Private Eyes" series with an endearing story about two people who just want to stay alive long enough to dream about second chances.
I received a copy of this book from the author. The opinions expressed are my own opinion.
As is often the case with Love Inspired Suspense novels, the action got started with a bang at the very beginning and the suspense continued to develop with nearly every page. There are several players involved in a race to obtain a rare and valuable piece of art and some of them are willing to kill for it.
I thoroughly enjoyed “Abducted” although I often found myself holding my breath in anticipation of what might happen next. It was easy to identify with Sarah and Jett as they learned to overcome their past in order to work together to outwit the lawless men who held them captive. The plot moved at a rapid pace with very little relief other than the growing realization that Jett and Sarah still had strong feelings for each other. Courage, quick thinking, and a strong faith helped the pair to overcome nearly impossible obstacles needed for their survival.
I always admire the often underappreciated authors who manage to make the limited word count of a mass market paperback seem like a much larger book. Dana Mentink has done a superb job with “Abducted” and I hope to read many more of her novels in the future.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that was provided by the author. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
Abducted is book three in The Pacific Coast Private Eyes series that is impossible to put down. I have loved all of these books and this one is no exception. It grabs you from page one and doesn't stop till the last page. Sarah is a mission nurse in training at a tiny medical facility in Mexico when in comes her high school sweetheart Domonic Jett holding a man over his shoulder asking for help. Wow, if that isn't enough they begin the adventure and life changing events for Sarah and Jett. I was rooting for them each step of the way. What are they to do, being captured by some really bad guys? They must work together to find a way out of this mess and figure out what these people want. Will Domonic be able to keep Sarah from becoming another victim of the bad guys? You will have to read this amazing, fast paced book to find out all of these questions and more. Dana Mentink doesn't disappoint.
Two souls apart since high school come together again only to find themselves on a remote island. Sounds like a good romantic read? It is, but also the story portrays what love really is all about….taking care of each other. This book is a Love Inspired Suspense. That means that you have all three. In the story Jett has lost his faith in God, but never his love for Sarah. Can Sarah help him regain his faith, help him realize that she loves him and wants to make a future with him? But first they must find a way to escape from the horrible drug lord and a madman. The story features thugs, threats, a mysterious painting, a missing woman, and little time for romance. However, love prevails. Jett realizes that he must accept God and trust him in order to save them both. A wonderful story of love, faith regained, and don’t forget the mysterious “Red Lady.” A great read.
Abducted is a fast-paced thriller that barely gave me the opportunity to breathe before the next danger presented itself. An injured man, his attackers, a rare painting and drug lord are woven into a story that whips the reader through perils. Sarah and Jett work to solve a mystery in order to save their lives and the mysterious man brought to her clinic. All of it for a missing painting and a missing woman. The injured man, knocking on death’s door provides the only clues to finding both. Jett and Sarah discover old hurts haven’t stopped the love they feel for one another. Abducted is a great story that shows forgiveness and growth in Christ, and the possibility of love beyond years and miles. I received Abducted from the author and have provided my honest opinion here. https://wordynerdyblog.wordpress.com/...
Just when I thought a Dana Mentink book couldn't possibly get any more exciting, I read Abducted and found out just how wrong I could be. More action, more danger, and more romance, this book delivered it all. Abducted was an edge-of-your-seat, page-turning, impossible to put down story. Dana Mentink certainly knows how to keep her readers glued to the page and breathlessly engrossed in the storyline.
Abducted is a great blend of faith and romantic suspense. The length is perfect for a cozy afternoon buried in book, and maybe a cup of cocoa to go with it. If you are a Love Inspired Suspense or a Dana Mentink fan book three in the Pacific Coast Private Eyes mini-series is a definite must read for you.
(I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are entirely my own.)
I am hooked on the Pacific Coast Private Eyes series! This book focuses on Sarah, the youngest Gallagher sister who was the driver in the fatal car accident in which her father dies. After she recovered, she became an angel of mercy working in a Mexican clinic where she becomes caught up in a fight between a drug lord and a crazy recluse. When danger comes knocking, her high school sweetheart and gorgeous hunk-with-a-past, Dominic comes to the rescue. He is the one who ends up needing the rescuing. Will she save him in time? Will she find the painting that holds the key to the whereabouts of the missing woman? Be careful. Once you pick up this book, you may not be able to put it down.
