“Vampires done right!”

Tired of the same old vampire story?

In the Human-Undead War world, toss out your crosses, holy water, and fire. Don’t bother bolting your door, or lining entrances to your home with garlic or salt—vampires don’t need an invitation, and none of that will deter them. They don’t sparkle. They don’t sleep in coffins. And they are no longer in hiding.

DARK INTENTIONS

In 2041, vampires are discovered and humanity is thrust into a blood-soaked battle for supremacy.

Seven years pass and the Human-Undead War rages on. Brian Koltz, the lead scientist and negotiator for the Undead Relations Committee, believes he holds the solution to peaceful the platelet mushroom, an accidental creation that produces human blood.

But after Brian befriends the Undead patriarch, Barnaby, the war intensifies and dark intentions are exposed. Can Brian forsake peace and undo a sinister plot before the world is plunged into darkness forever?

This book is amazing! Such talented, intricate writing. I read the ARC copy and then purchased the paperback.
Can a vampire ever be trusted? Can humans? Especially in a time of war where secrets and technology may play tricks on all, perhaps nothing is what it seems. Perhaps there is hope. Perhaps peace is ever-elusive.
This compelling book will not release you ... not even with the turn of the last page. Ondrashek will leave you paralyzed, reflecting on his tale's beginning, awaiting Volume 2.

What would happen if a human-being had a chance to become an immortal?
Would they lose their single soul to save many souls?
Just how far would they go to bring peace to their blood thirsty war-torn world?

“Dark Intentions” written by Jonathan Edward Ondrashek investigates these captivating questions – by seizing the reader by the preverbal balls and subjecting them to a very outlandish horror-filled corporeality, neighboring on the macabre, and then mutates into a primal fight to the death!

Here is just a bloody pint of the author’s savage story:

“Within a minute of the commencement of the night’s battle, Hammers had mutilated and killed twenty humans. Slickened by blood, senses overhauled by the inner bloodlust, he set forth to unleash his fury upon the Human Army. He hadn’t caught sight of Strajowskie, and so he continued to rip through the human fodder, forcing the Undead front line to move with him or remain behind. With their general hacking through human ranks with reckless abandon, the Undead howled in delight and surged forth, eyes flaring.”

This is my first time reading a novel by this author, so I possessed no preconceived notions, went into this with an open mind and an open heart.

WOW! I was on the edge of my seat until the very end!

The pace was adrenaline-charged, each character was expertly interwoven with volatility, violence, terror, trepidation, into the tale and the primal passion of each very well-developed character was powerful.

This book is a combination of genres: Horror, and Dark Urban Fantasy.

However, Dearest Reader, I never reveal spoilers, as I possess too much respect for you to ever putrefy a piece!

IF, you are a Firm Fan of combat chronicles – then this is the book for you!

I am an independent ARC reader reviewer blogger and I originally received this novel free from the publisher and I chose to voluntarily review it.

In this first book of the trilogy, Ondrashek soaks with blood the idea of the "typical" vampire. Just turning the first page you already have a good dose of gore and that grabbed me, you bet!

He is an excellent writer and creates fresh, agile... dark threads. Darker than you expected, that's his secret weapon. He doesn't fall for the average superhero story, all the characters have a low side which shines at some point, showing their cards.

The author makes the best of such a great imagination, moulding disturbing creatures in the reader's mind. He's very easy to read, very pleasurable, no matter how bloody is the tale he's murmuring in your ear.

Revenge, betrayal, power. It's all about keeping an impossible balance that explodes into ashes when they cross a very delicate line. How to keep the peace between prey and predator? Ondrashek submerges you into the entrails of a (sentenced?) battle between humans and the undead. Crime-thrilling, he grabs your full attention and doesn't set you free. You'll devour this book.

Not only for horror readers, also for dark fantasy lovers. An amazing genre-defiant piece, I sincerely enjoyed it.

A book about vampires that doesn't suck! pun totally intended. They also don't sparkle. The battle scenes are awesome and the story is fresh and exciting. Not much in the way of romance, but trust me when I say that's a good thing. I highly recommend you check this book out!

Fantastic!

I absolutely recommend this book! The plot is ingenious. Filled with adventures , mystery, and a little romance,as well as fantasy and horror. The characters make you love them or hate them. All will be unable to put it down until the end.
