I enjoyed this short story. Quick and to the point. I loved the ending. Life would be so much fuller, richer, and happier if we would stop letting society decide what is the right kind of love between consenting adults. It is always about either power, status, money and sexual orientation with the powers that be.
Always Been You -- KT Grant (Started/Ended: Oct. 5, 2016)
Almost forgot to review this one! This is far from a KT Grant classic, but it is written well enough and concisely that it is a pretty decent read for the small space it is written in.
The story builds around Whitney finally being able to bury the hatch and move on after Corinne’s exit years earlier, only to have latter come back home and previous become her assistant. Did you get that?
This story has some disconnects and the ending seems to get hashed together almost instantly as Whitney moves too quickly past the hurts that Corinne inflicted upon her, leaving this reader with a “huh?” moment. But again, considering it’s a short story, the plot is well conceived and it was well spent time, mostly.
