Let the fur fly..
This series is great if you like growly, snarly weres and their equally fierce mates.
It's hard to review a boxed set and give every book its due, so I'm just going to generalize. Overall, the books are really good. The ongoing storyline of Freedom is interesting, definitely keeps you rooting for the good guys and snarling for the bad guys blood.
My only complaint is Maya, the Prima, started out hilarious and crazy in a lovable kind of way, but by the end of the series, I was more than annoyed by her. She plays at least a small part in all the books and I found myself wishing she'd just go away.
If you like paranormal books with shifters, this is a great one for you. Tigers, lions, foxes, bunnies, wolves, squirrels, hedgehogs, and bears, oh my!

Read as part of the box set. Interesting mix of shifters I found. For a Prime Alex was not that strong, he should have explained everything before claiming unless her life was at risk that very minute. I get get the call of the moon thing but a Prime is usually strong enough to resist. However the story was well written and held my attention, characters were easy to like and Maya actually came across as the stronger, even more lead worthy. Enjoyable read. Started and finished 5/12/21

This story has a bit more plot and suspense. Carly found her mate but struggled with his flirty ways and callin her darlin just like every other female was a blow, so she fought against him. But with a murder and a threat plus him finally getting it, she needs him. There is some violence and action in this that had me gripped and excited. Great characters for the most part easy to like. Poor broken Elise, she has had two years of absolute he'll but is trying so hard to move on and recover. Her poor little fox has been hiding until her move to Ridgeville and help from Maddy. This story was intense, even a little heartbreaking, but also uplifting as the character finds strength and love. Brute in so many ways is a gentle giant and stays so calm and careful unless he feels his little mate is threatened, don't poke the Lion coz you won't like what happens. Really loved this one, would have loved a bit more of the babies though. Started 6/12/21 Finished 7/12/21
Tess may not have been repeatedly raped like many other women kidnapped by the freedom group.but she was used as a punch bag daily not just by the members but by her father. Not knowing any love, friendship ever, trust is hard. The lies told her over and over are deeply ingrained. For Harding finding his mate but then not having it reciprocated is testing, it pushes his cat to it's limits. But then they have an enemy trying to hurt them not in the usual way. This story was quite sad at times Tess didn't ask for the life she had, it wasn't her fault that the others were raped. The first tiny bit of trust is not worthy in some ways but understandable in others. It's moving and emotional, suspenseful and there is some violence but the author did an amazing job with the mental powers that were a big focus of the story. I could clearly imagine all the corridors and files of memories all stored away and being checked to find out who the villain was. I thought the last book was fabulous but this definitely equals that. I can also see improvement in the authors writing as this series progresses, she stretches her imagination more with each plot and gives each more definition and refinement. We still have Maya, Prima's tips and quirks through each chapter which are funny, i definitely feel sorry for Alex, he is supposed to be Prime and pack leader but honestly at least 3 of the women overtake him most of the time. This box set is proving to be well worth reading. Read 9/12/21

Another heartbreaking story full of pain and emotions, ones that are so hard to control for Millie, she's suffered years and years of abuse both mental and physical. It has left her fractured three ways, her human side, animal and her power, all are independent of each other with no control. As a result she is either threatening or being threatened until finally her mate finds her. I ached for this character, her fear and pain shone through the words, his life hadn't been easy either but together they gave each other the strength and support needed. Sometimes him having to force submission was hard but knowing he did it for her own good made it easier to read, I hasten to add this is more a mind thing for her out of control power, not in any way sexual. There is plenty of action and some violence with a threat from her past as well as the power, but I found this to be gripping and moving. Wyatt is gentle and loving as he can be, even when having to subdue Millie he does his best not to hurt. He just wants her safe even if they have to leave the Pride. I'm so glad Maya is strong and stands tall when it comes to the women in their pack, she is definitely kick..s when needs be. Read 11/12/21
The last few years haven't been easy for this couple, Greyson told Honor and her family that they were mates just before she left to go to college in London. While she was away he struggled being at home without her, so spent his time travelling to help the council. While in London Honor suffered a traumatic experience and now she's home, but only Alex and Maya are allowed anywhere near her. At times this was hard to read, once the experience was being revealed, no rape but in many ways worse. I felt for both characters, poor Grayson was going out of his mind especially after suffering years without her. Lots of painful emotions and some angst, along with tension and suspense. Having read this as part of the full box set I can't decide which couple I felt sorry for most, thankfully all the books end with a happy ever after but each have a real fight to get there. Wonderful, gripping and enthralling reads while also being quite harrowing and full of love and protective instincts. Started 11/12/21 Finished 12/12/21

Maya has needs that she needs to take care of with no strings attached. She goes to Genesis to get her need taken care of when she meets the Alpha Alex he's sexy and everything she is looking for a one night stand.
Alex she's a stranger enter and he decides to get rid of her before the frenzy begins. When he get close to her he realizes she's his mate and before he knows what he's doing he carries her to his room. When he wakes up he realizes she snuck out and now he needs to find her before it's too late.

This is a short story read.
Maya is recently turned lioness and she just finds out that she is pregnant. Her hormones are of the chart making he real bitchy towards everyone. Theirs even a tiger trying to get closes to her mate and she doesn't like it.
Ball of Furry
Carly a wererabbit is at a bar when she scents her mate and when she gets to him there's a blonde hanging off of him. She spends six months avoiding him. He's a man whore she doesn't want anything to do with. He has three children with a human woman with a jealous streak to boot.
She wants a mate she can trust and not one she has to watch over.
Neal is a werelion who does the gala to populate their pride. When he meets his mate she's not too happy with him. When he finds that his mate is in danger he goes after her to protect her at all cost.
Head Over Tails
Maddy has been kidnapped by the Freedom Leader Allister so he can calm his men down. They believe in kidnapping, torture and murder as well. When Maddy sees a hyenas tries to rape a fox shifter she goes and protects her. Maddy was a sensitive before the prima showed her how to be a
bad ass.
Ricker is a council tracker that has be given the task to go and save Maddy and when he gets there he doesn't see a sensitive like he thought. Sensitives do as they are told, but not Maddy his mate that is trying him. He has to convince her that he would be a good mate for her.
Fierce In Furr
Elise was kidnapped and been held captive for two years. She is a very broken sensitive and since she's been home her family has been coddling her and she's ready to go back to Ridgeville. Maddy help her not be as broken as she was and now she feels more like her self now. She came back to a wedding and a delivery of a set of twins.
Brute is one of the prima's guard. When he meets his mate a fox shifter and she is the sensitive that they rescued with Maddy. Now all he wants to do is to protect and show her he would make a good mate for her. Trouble shows up from her past will he be able to protect what's his?
Deuces Wild
Squirrel shifter Elly was captured by the Freedom group beaten and handed over to be rapped. Her jailer Deuce doesn't want to force his self upon the Elly. Deuce won her in a poker game and he knows she's his mate. He would rather get her out of there and to safety as soon as possible.. He freed her but she can't stop thinking about the lion that haunts her every moment.
Deuce wants to get back to his mate. The council members thinks he abused her in some way. He could never hurt his mate. He finally finds out she's in his home town after he beats it out of a man. He's not welcomed in Ridgeville they all hate him for something he took a blame for that he didn't do. The truth always finds it's way to the surface. Deuce will not leave his mate again and they will fight to stay together!!!

This is a delicate situation where these women have been damaged and abused. Needs to be handle with care, but when he arrives he gets a strong sent of his mate and he can't determine what she is. She's part human and and sorta sensitive and she's his mate. Tess knows what pain feels like and she doesn't know what love feels like. Harding is ready to mate with her and all she wants him to do is kill her. She doesn't want to be like her father Allister she would rather die. Harding has to convince her she's nothing like him and hopefully eventually she will decide to be his mate.
Like A Fox
Gavin is fox shifter came to Ridgeville to visit his sister Elise before he has to go to Chicago to start his new job. He's is going to be the Director of Communication for the council. What he does find is his mate Gina who has problems of her own. Gina's ex-boyfriend was a trusted member of the pride and they found out that he was a vicious member of Freedom that's a strong pill to swallow. She's been taking lessons from Maya how to have a backbone. This is one hot read and I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Panther shifter Millie was one of the ones captured and abused by Freedom. They took her when she was 2 yrs. old and she doesn't even know what her real name is. She has been abused for 30 yrs. and she doesn't remember most of what happened to her. She has what some would say is a control problem only around men. Maya took her under her wing and she convinced Millie to come hang out when she meets her mate. She hopes she can control her powers and not send him six feet under.
Wyatt has issues of his own when her was 5 yrs. old his human mother rejected him the first time he shifted. He has trust issues and he doesn't think he deserves to have someone love him. Will Wyatt and Millie find a middle ground so they both can find the happiness they both deserve.

Honor went to London to attend college there and her Prime Alex found a pride that will accept her into their pride. She knows that Grayson might be her mate, but she has dreams that she wants to achieve that doesn't include him. Honor was going through her first heat and she was kidnapped by the London Prime's son Angus and put in a cage and tortured. She went back to Ridgeville broken and a shamed of what happened there.
Grayson has known for 6 yrs. that Honor is his mate, but she was only 16 yrs. old and she had a lot of growing up to do before she could even become his mate. He's happy when she finally came how but she was not the same person she was when she left. Honor was staying with Alex and Maya and he was not allowed to go see his own mate. When Angus comes to town he is happy that he will be able to get revenge for what he did to Honor. Grayson has a lot of patience while he waited for Honor and he is determined that he would never hurt her only to protect what's his.

My mistake was reading the whole box set, book after book, all at once. Why ? Because by the 3rd book, they all started to sound the same. The attitudes, the personalities, the sex scenes, it was as if one couple was simply given different names from one book to the next.
I can honestly say I finally found those books where people say there is too much sex. In one of them, they had sex, of course it was nothing but “need.” and “gonna”. That’s literally all the female characters were able to say during the sex scenes. Followed by maybe 10 pages of story, at most, and then you guessed it, yet another sex scene where all the female said was ..., ding, ding, ding, you guessed right, “need” and “gonna”.
What’s more, Maya is a complete duplicate of a character this author has in another book series. Here’s the thing. Are they bad ? No, I mean as long as you space them out with other books by other authors in between. Because, otherwise, you will see how glaringly obvious it is that her stuff is totally recycled.
(See Mate Marked and No Ifs, Ands and Buts for the main female character that is transplanted to these series, with only a different name)

What a series!

Excellent choice if you're looking for a new author
Love that every book builds on the one before. Love that the woman are badass and mouthy and the men are big teddy bears. Love that they are well edited with no typos to slow down the read. Maya and her gang of females are ride or die in the best way. Drama comes in the form of previous experiences and the woman start to heal from the minute they meet their mates. No will they/ won't they. No heroine that's TSTL because she can't put on her big girl panties. All the things you want in a family/town series and some serious spice too. Always use KU until I'm sure, but this is going to be a one-click add to the library
Love that every book builds on the one before. Love that the woman are badass and mouthy and the men are big teddy bears. Love that they are well edited with no typos to slow down the read. Maya and her gang of females are ride or die in the best way. Drama comes in the form of previous experiences and the woman start to heal from the minute they meet their mates. No will they/ won't they. No heroine that's TSTL because she can't put on her big girl panties. All the things you want in a family/town series and some serious spice too. Always use KU until I'm sure, but this is going to be a one-click add to the library

So this was an ok read for me. I will stipulate that this is directly related to the fact the first books /h Maya annoyed me to no end. I found her presence throughout the series to be off putting and a reason it required reading breaks while finishing this book. If you like her character you will probably enjoy this series. Plenty of smutty were animal shenanigans.

Ridgeville Shifters...yes, please!
Shifters are my reading crack. Every once in awhile an author comes along and gives me (all right, everyone) a new world filled with hot Hot HOT alpha men and beautifully strong, snarky, all-too-human women. Makes me want to move to Ridgeville just to hang with my new friends where we can all cry, laugh and love each other the way real family is supposed to.

A wonderful series.
I knew I had read the first of this series but didn't remember if I'd read anymore. When I saw the whole bundle on Kindle Unlimited I grabbed it and read the whole series in order. Best way to read a series I think. I loved it. Celia Kyle is a fantastic author. And I loved Maya's snarky comments at the beginning of each chapter. A great author with a great series.

If you like your books with spice, this one is for you! If you love snarky humor, this series has you covered! OMG! I can't even choose which couple I liked best. I have a new favorite author. It was seriously good from beginning to end. If you like Evanovich , Celia Kyle has you covered in the shifter world. Amazing!

Awesome series
I enjoyed every single book in this series. They there were times that the characters antics would leave laughing. Other times I was in tears. There was never a dull moment. I recommend this series of books all readers that believe in heros and above all people that can overcome even the worse life can through at them and still find and accept love.

This has been one of the best series I have read. Never left a review before but HAD to so others would read. Hot growly dominant males, and feisty kickass females, with a absolutely comedic background scene that had me laughing my ass off throughout. Please if you see this read and enjoy as much as I did.

Good read,
So I really liked this series. I felt that the author was funny and enjoyable. I will say I felt there could have been a bit more flushing out of the stories. However, overall it was enjoyable and a good binge read! Definitely will be reading more by this author.

I made it through the first two stories but by the third one I couldn't handle the repetition of details: shifter male finds a slobby, overweight, insecure woman hot. Fifty pages later, the woman turns into an annoying know it all who rules the roost.
