These are probably the best sources to understand how our society works !! Belonging from ICSE background never read these books before. They are a little deep to understand for a 6th class student & hence definitely have a huge dependency on the teacher to make them understand the underlying issues in a connected way.

NCERTs are really good. Case studies and text questions provide a lot of 'food for thought'. The only problem is that books are not up to date.
