MorningCoach motivational speaker and consultant JB Glossinger thought he had found what he was looking for once he achieved a golden level of corporate success and financial freedom. But even as he relished having conquered the corporate ladder, he felt a strong pull to seek something more, leading him to actualize his personal dream.By aligning his mission, values, and goals, JB was able to form an action plan and achieve his vision of a fulfilling career of guiding others toward realizing their inner purpose balanced with his passions of family, golf, and writing—all with a three-hour workday.Grounded in years of coaching groups, companies, and individuals, JB has developed a Sacred Six process, adaptable to each person’s core principles, "keystone" positive habits, and unique goals. More than a simple self-help program, the Sacred Six process is about getting things done and focusing on one’s life story, encompassing their journey and purpose. An insightful and entertaining raconteur, JB weaves his personal tale of trials and triumph into his time-tested steps for creating a joyful and fulfilling life.

I am so happy that JB has written The Sacred Six. This is a "hands on " workbook not only to organize your life yet to set your life in the direction to reach your potential. This is not just a time management book, read once and stick it on your shelf to collect dust...it is a MANUAL for your life! I have been a long time user and follower of the old Franklin Planner system from the 1980s and later Stephen Covey integration which has presently changed to be more showy than productive...The Sacred Six is the manual for OUR time! I have followed JB Glossinger all way back to his podcasts and phone conference calls. He is a "down to earth" guy...not puffed up nor caught up with ego. He lives in the present and shares that each and every day with MorningCoach. He lives towards enlightenment. I highly recommend this book. I also liked his support site for The Sacred Six to help clarify even more the importance of implementing The Sacred Six. This is a win-win!
Practical spiritual how-to guide to build life of your dreams in 6 steps daily.
Sometimes you get lucky to find a book that not only draws you in with fascinating stories from the first word read, but also delivers value that you know is going to change your life. You get especially lucky when you know that every word in a book is lived through by the author who you've known for years. You know it works. You know it makes miracles happen. Beautiful book. Great writing. Great value. Most importantly - great system to take actions and change your life, all areas of it, taking 6 actions a day, the right kind of actions.
Read the book. Start designing the life you love living!
JB Glossinger has done an amazing job in creating a simple, yet effective technique for personal happiness and achievement of goals. He combines modern technological techniques with the simple truths of yesterday's self-help and success "gurus" to create a system that anyone can do, with any amount of resources.
And the best part is that he does this without letting us forget the things that are truly important to us, and also without forgetting that those things may change over time as we grow and learn.
This is a truly simple yet complete program, applicable nearly anywhere. I highly recommend this book.
As with any self-improvement book, you only get out of it what you are willing to do. Even an over organizer will the lessons useful in improving task completion methodology.
I have struggled my whole life with goals - trying numerous methods over the last 30 years, including expensive, involved tracking systems held in fancy leather binders. Most of them were either too simplistic or too complicated to manage regularly. I spent more time (it seemed) working with my goals than actually getting something accomplished. I needed something that just works, is easy to learn and to manage on a daily basis. I found it in The Sacred 6. Starting with a discussion of the “Key Principles” of clarity, focus, consistency, and prioritization he moves on to the "Main Ingredients" of Alignment, MIssion (the sail), Values (the rudder), and finally Goals. The Key Principles help you to understand why each of these four principles is critical in creating worthwhile goals. The Main Ingredients build on that understanding to create a simple but easy-to-use system. In each step of the process, you will work to identify the Sacred 6, then prioritize them, and finally track them to completion. The initial setup will take some time, but once it is in place it is extremely easy to track and update each day. It is written and full of examples. He uses a familiar style and you feel like he is there talking with you. The only minus is in the area where he describes the mission-values-goals relationship. I had to re-read this a couple of times until I understood the relationship as described. I would recommend this to anyone. I am buying a copy for each of my kids.
It's not a bad book, but it is little more than a rehash of the same material covered in countless other self-help books, TED talks, YouTube Videos, Podcasts, etc. Very little new or original other than the author's personal stories, which also all follow the typical self-help pattern of "I used to be a working fool with a terrible life, but then I followed my dream and after an initial failure I have become a wondrous success with all the gifts of life, and I only work 4 hours per week!" Very typical for this genre, and less than inspiring if you have read more than 2 other self-help books.
I like how the author expands on the "Getting Things Done" Framework, & adds a welcome insight om Mission, Values, Goals, Projects & Daily Tasks in a simple way that makes a lot of sense. I knew that focus on Values from my own focus in 2012, when following the local "Passion for Work" program.
This work feels authentic, & while being a bit chaotic at times, I experienced this as a valuable read.
Sacred 6 will help you get your life in and keep it aligned to your goals and values. JB Glossinger breaks down the process of how to live the life you want by moving towards your targets every day. It's an easy read and one you will want to keep on your shelf to review from time to time, ensuring your stay on track and true to yourself.
J.B. Glossinger advice is simple and down to earth. Not much in the book that I didn't already know, but lots of references to his own story and methods on how he accomplishes making goals, reaching goals and accomplishing what he sets out to do. Good read, short, useful info.
The Sacred 6 is a quick read (meaning it's a page turner) and is full of actionable steps.
The program offers a direct path to see what's important in your life. It then helps you define clear goals so you put your energy into getting the life you want. In a nutshell, it's designed to align the real you with your calling.
Thanks JB for giving the world a tested blueprint so the world can live the life they were intended.
Have only had the book for a couple weeks but just re-read it to really get a better understanding---not that it's hard to read---it's very conversational and fun---but the ideas are really mind changing and solid---I want to comprehend every bit of this! Never said this before for a book---but I believe that this book is destined to become a self-help/organizational and management classic!
I took my time with this one. After all, it's JB Glossinger's amazing Sacred 6 and it was worth it. Applying it everyday and getting used to and better with the changes. Thank you JB for the great work.
