I hugely enjoyed this!! I love tragedy and I love dissecting it, so this book was so interesting to me. I particularly loved the sections discussing catharsis, peripeteia, hamartia, and anagnorisis. These are all terms that I've been learning since secondary school, but I loved reading this book that broke them down into detail and made me realise maybe they aren't quite the simple concepts I thought they were. Like I said, I adore tragedy, and I think that in some ways Greek Tragedy, and by extension Aristotle and his Poetics, will always be relevant to today's tragic works, simply because the entire genre stemmed from them. I liked the comparisons between authors and time periods and genres in this book, and I quite liked the tone it was written in; it was easy to follow and digest. All in all, I found this super interesting!
