4 stars A good companion book to help you implement No-Drama Discipline.
This is like a self.help book. There are lots of questions for you to reflect on your strengths, weaknesses, and your parenting styles, as well as exercises for you to prepare and train yourself to response appropriately in real life scenarios. However, I wish that they provide the appropriate responses for some of the scenarios they talk about too. Otherwise, I really have no idea whether my responses are the right things to do or not.
It took me almost 2 years to work my way through the workbook. Things would be smooth and great, but as soon as I’d revert back into old reactive parenting habits I’d pick it back up to remind myself of ways to connect, redirect, model empathy, etc. parenting is so hard and I constantly have to keep coming back to this to practice. I do think it gave me a ton of great strategies and ideas, though. This workbook is a great companion to the book and helps you put the ideas into practice.
