Although I would consider myself a beginner when it comes to essential oils, I have read a few books on the subject and have started my collection of oils. The Portable Essential Oils by Anne Kennedy is one of my favorites on the topic so far and I'm glad to have it to reference. Structured like many I've seen, it is sectioned into two parts. The first does a wonderful job of giving an overview of essential oils including tools and safety. Specifically I enjoyed the scientific aspects that are covered. It really is amazing the effect scent and oils have on our bodies. The second part lists ailments and suggested remedies, with specific step by step instructions.
My attraction to oils started with scent but I've learned much more about the history and uses from this and look forward to expanding on my knowledge.
I received this in exchange for a fair and honest review.
This is great book for the beginning use of essential oils. The biggest trouble is trying to keep myself from buying all the oils recommended all at once. This has already become one of my go to references.
