This is my son's favourite book, and the one of the best I've read for young kids. A touching and poetic story along with beautiful illustrations always have my son engrossed and wanting to read it again when it's finished.

I picked this up solely because the author shares a name with my new little one <3 And this was a perfect bedtime story to share with him! It depicts a family sharing all sorts of fun adventures throughout the year, and each time the parents reiterate how they love their child much more than that particular activity (more than roller coasters, more than Christmas, even!). A very heartwarming book with cute, vibrantly colorful illustrations. The story behind the author's motivation to write this (and other) children's books is heart-wrenching and adds an extra element to reading this indeed.
