What if unknowing archangels were already walking the earth, preparing us for the Second Coming of Christ? With the unlikely help of Russian medium Khristina Tupikova, Dr. Michael Carilion finds the missing piece of the One Theory-the Holy Grail of theoretical physics. Even as he prepares to announce his stunning scientific discovery, however, a tabloid reporter beats him to the newsstand ... with the claim that the physicist has proven the existence of heaven. Besieged by skeptics and fanatics alike, Carilion is caught in a wave of violence and betrayal that throws him into a deadly maelstrom in which faith and science are locked in mortal combat. But when he is subsequently framed for the murders of his wife, his research partner, and a magazine editor, Carilion realizes that more than his theory is under attack. To save himself and his allies, Carilion must ultimately surrender in faith to God in order to defeat the Devil himself who would destroy him, his theory, and a shattering new understanding of the relationship between life and death.

I must admit that the story was not only unique but one of the best that I have read in awhile. The mix of science, faith, thriller and suspense provided for a page turning read. A big thanks to Goodreads, the book's author and all responsible for the giveaway. I look forward reading to the 2nd book in the series which was luckily included in the giveaway.

Science and religion seem to always be at war with one another. But what if science actually helped prove one of the major tenets of the Christian faith? What would that mean for the world-- particularly non-believers?

Trust me, in Ms. Dunlap's suspense (bordering on sci-fi) novel, not everyone is happy about it.

Taking her cues from cutting edge research (which makes the novel that much more intriguing) the stakes are placed for humanity to decide if scientific proof of Christianity will sway belief-- as least for the major characters as opposition forces do anything and everything to keep this discovery a secret.

I think this novel is very pertinent to the events of the day where there is distrust that the media as a whole is presenting everything in their bias and what does that mean for truth seekers? How can we for ourselves decide anything about the truth if certain elites don't want the masses to know?

A very thought provoking book. I'll be interested to see where Ms. Dunlap takes the series next. Recommended.

I was given a free copy of this book by the author for an honest review. A positive review was not required.

This book reminds me of a mix between books by Karen Kingsbury and Heather Graham. It has a religious twist similar to book by Kingsbury with a mystery similar to books by Heather Graham. The first chapters have some scientific info that you might get bogged down but after that the chapters are quick.
