Exciting! All is not well in the Land! Every Utopia has it problems and even tho it might seem as if someone has the perfect life situation, there is always someone who is going to want more or feel as if they have not been given their Due! Author continues to bring the story alive for readers! The characters are well thought out. the plot is mysterious, interesting and intriguing,

I loved Book One, The Land Uncharted, and was excited to get my hands on Book Two. For me, it started out a little slow. It picked up right where the first one left off and I should have refreshed my memory just a bit, because it took me a chapter or two to remember what was going on and who was who. Once I got that all sorted out in my mind, I was hooked.
The Land Uncharted focuses more on Lydia, who is Levi's sister, and this one was more about Levi. Their mother was killed years ago and Levi has always harbored some resentment towards his dad for the way he handled it. When Levi's younger sister and his love interest, Mandy, are victims of an abduction by these men (even though his sister wasn't taken away, as Mandy was), he and some of the men set out to find Mandy and bring justice to her captors.
I enjoyed seeing the story and the situation of these people built upon. As the description says, there are more layers to uncover and the reader gets just that. There are traditions to be overcome, as well as many tense and suspenseful moments, mixed in with some good, clean, romance. Mandy is forced to grow up and recognize what truly matters and Levi is there, waiting, to help her do so. I loved spending time with these characters once again and getting to know them better, deeper.
There are a few instances where it jumps to the outside world, to see what's going on with Connor's friend's search for this land. Connor came to it by the sky and Justin is sure there's a land and that Connor is still alive. There's an interesting theory developing about this. I have mixed feelings on this venture and the book ends in a way that left me uneasy and on edge. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Content: no language; mild-moderate violence--murders, abduction with some abuse (nothing too graphic); mild-moderate romance--kissing, a previous intimate encounter is mentioned with no details. Clean for an older reader who can handle these situations.

I felt so happy, when I finished reading Uncharted Redemption. That’s the way I like to feel, when I finish a good story. It was great to see the characters grow and change during the course of the novel. This book is truly a tale of redemption, forgiveness, and love.
Levi, though not the most endearing character at the beginning of this novel, and certainly not in the previous book, grows and matures into a man of compassion and understanding. This is his story, as much as it is Mandy’s. They both are able to confront misconceptions of their youth and overcome them with the help of friends, family, and each other.
Although this book can be read without reading the first book in the series, I think the reader will have a better understanding of the parallel plot line, if she reads The Land Uncharted first. The majority of this book reads like a historic novel, though a small part takes place in a futuristic society, which might be confusing to someone who hasn’t read the previous novel. On the other hand, the historic story can almost stand on its own. However, it is the science fiction angle that adds depth and angst to the novel.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good romance woven into a story of family, mystery, and intrigue.

This is the second book in the Uncharted series - an amazing blend of historical romance and science fiction. The story is set about ten years in the future during what seems like World War 3. It is set on an inhabited island that is unknown to the modern world, hidden in a place like the Bermuda Triangle. The people have the technology of the late 1800's.
This book focuses on Levi and Mandy's story. Levi is busy building himself a house on the hill across from Mandy's family home. Mandy spend her time handcrafting violins. Levi has cared for Mandy for years, but she rejected him and now sees herself as unworthy.
When Mandy is abducted by the same rebel family who killed Levi's mother, Levi comes to her rescue. Though Levi and Mandy both care for each other, fear of rejection keep them both from telling the other how they feel.
I loved the concept of the grey leaf tree, whose leaves had amazing healing properties and wood far superior to other timber. This story ended with a similar teaser to book 1, and now I can't wait to read book 3!
I listened to the audiobook edition, which I received free in exchange for an honest review. The narrator of book 2 spoke clearly and at a good pace.

Author Keely Brooke Keith, has once again delivered a riveting tale of the Colburn family that is chopped full of danger, death, and love. In this novel we learn more about the mysterious island and the link of where and when people have stumbled upon The Land. We're also reminded to take what we can from a bad situation; that might mean changing our perspective or actions.
Personally, I enjoyed the book right up till the end. I felt drawn into the characters lives and like always, I wanted to know more. Because I was no longer questioning the where, why, and how's of the island, like in book one, I enjoyed it so much more.
Come on summer 2015 so we can get the rest of the story!

Ever since finishing The Land Uncharted, I have been looking forward to my next visit to The Land. I was not disappointed. In fact, I think I enjoyed this one even more because I was familiar with the unique setting and the people, knew I could depend on the author to deliver, and was just able to settle in for a good read. There are many facets to this new story, but at the core is a very sweet love story of a young man tenderly caring for the wounded girl he loves. The ending is sure to leave you very anxious for the next book in the series (to be released Summer 2015).

I love this new world that blends the traditions of a post Civil War America while slowly starting to embrace the good parts of technology.
This documents the journey of Levi and Manda, their love and redemption.
Ephesians 1: 7 KJV says"we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace."
Kelly doesn't disappoint in this book and I await #3.

I loved the first book in this series was so glad when the author contacted me about reading and reviewing this one. I wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed picking back up with the characters in the first book and learning more about Levi and Mandy and their stories The book is a wonderful combination of danger, suspense and romance and another beautiful story of finding forgiveness. I was furnished with an e-book copy of this book in return for an honest review. This is another one from the author that I definitely can recommend. I will be looking forward to the the next book in the series.

I absolutely love this book and the first book. I know there just has to be a third book in the makings! I love this whole story line. It is different than books I normally read and I like that. I love all the characters and love that it shows God's forgiveness and grace and how important it is for us to forgive. If we don't bitterness will set in. I applaud Keely Keith and give this book and the first one five stars. I hope I know when third book comes out!

I enjoyed this book very much! I loved getting to know Levi and Mandy more and to wonder what will happen with Justin Mercer's plans to find The Land.
I don't want to give too much away, but there's a lot of excitement and adventure. It's a beautiful story of forgiveness and the ending left me anxious for book 3 of the series!

Wow, if anything, this is better than the first in the series. I felt right at home with the characters and really enjoyed finding out more about them and moving along in the story with them. Characters are well developed and the story line is absolutely fascinating. Can hardly wait to find out what happens next. Highly recommend this book.

This author does a great job plotting this story of romance and mystery. We all make mistakes, but there is forgiveness for the asking. I love the characters. The author wrote them so well you feel you are right in the midst of their life. Yet there is a mystery that draws you into book 3 which we anxiously await in mid 2015.

I had the first book in this series for quite awhile. When the rest of the books came up on sale, I went ahead and finished collecting them and then started reading it - what a delightful surprise. The premise of this story is wonderful. Through most of the story I am in the 19th century on this wonderful island where the people care about one another and work together to survive. The island is called The Land and is protected from the rest of the world by some type of "force field". The rest of the world is living in the 21st century and it isn't a very nice place. We get glimpses of it in a chapter here and there. Oh, the 19th century isn't all beauty and wonder, there are some not so nice characters in this story and that makes up the suspense in these stories. There were points in this story where it dragged and that is why I gave it four stars rather than five.

I am not a big science fiction or future time reader but this story was good and held my interest. Had more trials and adventures than I was expecting. With a story of forgiveness and letting go of bitterness wrapped in the middle. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I listened to this book as an audiobook and wasn't pleased with the narrator. She was monotone for part of the story. Also I didn't care for her South Africa accent of one of the characters. Because she was very hard to understand.

An audiobook with a great narrator.
A story about a land uncharted and the people’s way of life which I really like. Such an unhurried world and with the healing tree most wounds can be healed. Romance, adventures and suspense of whether they will keep their land hidden sure keeps me listening. These characters are more than what meets the eye. They are a strong and determined people. If you like a clean interesting story with lessons to learn you will like this book.

I think i read maybe 1/3 of the book b/c it was so cheesy. The first one was predictable, but had a little bit more guts to keep people entertained. This was so basic, that I knew what was going to happen in the first 2 chapters. Not worth my time, and not going to read the rest of the series. Bethany will marry Everett. Lydia and Connor will have more kids and their practice and school will grow. Mercer will find the island and still keep it a secret. The war outside will leak its way into the island, but all will be happy in the end.

This book had me on the edge of my seat when Mandy was taken away. All I wanted was for Levi to find her and bring her home. I enjoyed the mix of romance and suspense that the author gave us in this story. The story of the grey leaf tree being told and the healing properties is interesting. I liked how this book picked up where the first one left off but then it left me wanting me more. I was glad that I had the next book on hand.

Unexpected
The story starts off with what I presumed was an eighteenth century village. The citizens are hardworking farmers and craftsmen who barter for goods. Then comes the twist they are in hiding from a world at war. As you are drawn deeper into their world you can understand why they do not want any outsiders.

I just can't get into this series, I am not sure why it doesn't appeal to me. I like the characters and their storylines are good, just the science fiction part does not appeal to me. I will read book 3, but will stop at that one.

You must read this series
The story continues around an untouched land from the past and mixes it with the future. You will love this kind of novel. It's very different from anything I've read in Christian fiction.

I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. It is a good idea to read them in order. I like the more relaxed pace, although there are tense, suspenseful moments too. The touch of science fiction adds to the book.

Levi Colburn is a bitter young man- he’s angry at his father for failing to protect his mother when she was murdered and angry at himself for being in love with Mandy Foster, a woman who rejected him years prior. With a heavy yet determined heart, he decides to break away from Land tradition and build his own house separate from his family. His entire world is shaken once again when the same men who murdered his mother ride into town and kidnap Mandy. Levi, along with his brother-in-law Connor, race after them and vow to deliver justice no matter what the cost. But will his desire for vengeance cloud his judgment? The Land Uncharted’s ending had me curiously anticipating this second novel in the Uncharted series. Though it started off a little slow (probably because I had forgotten a lot from the first book and it’s probably better to read these one after the other), don’t give up on it because Uncharted Redemption has a meaningful message, adventure and action, romance and imagination. I really enjoyed it!
Something that has always intrigued me about these books is the setting. The Land is a curious place, and it’s one of those things that pulls you in with the mystery of it all. Parts of the story focused on Mercer, Connor's old friend, and his mission to find the Land. Though some information is uncovered here, I suspect there will be even more revealed in the next book. The romance was another highlight- Levi and Mandy’s interactions made me smile. I was really happy the conclusion wasn’t too drawn out, everything happened in perfect sequence. The third person point of view isn’t my favorite, but in this case it didn’t bother me much. Perhaps the best part of this book (for me) was the adventure! Things got really interesting with kidnapping, murder, and fistfights. I was also really happy to “touch base” with Connor and Lydia from book one- they were still as cute as ever.
Uncharted Redemption was an intriguing, mysterious sequel filled with romance, adventure, and suspense. If you enjoy stories that are a break from the norm, then you should check out the Uncharted series!

Return once again to the past and the future
I am once again amazed at Keely Keith's ability to seamlessly join historical fiction with futuristic fiction. The characters speech and even the author's writing style hearkens back to the days of the classics and yet the futuristic feel is still very present.
I fell in love with the Colburn family in The Land Uncharted and I really looked forward to reading more about them. I was glad that Keely Keith took up the story of Levi and Mandy. I took a liking to Mandy in the first book and I enjoyed learning more about her and what made her tick. The same thing went with Levi, he has broken somewhat with tradition but is he really that different?
Suspense and romance set against the backdrop of a land once unspoiled. But darkness gathers from afar, and even more frighteningly, from within. That is one of the most fascinating parts of Uncharted Redemption, the peaceful people of the land versus the violence thrust upon them. Each character must grapple with where to make a stand and how to balance the need for peace and having to protect that peace by force. This causes dissension between family members and even resentment but when the chips are down love of family and God are what really matters.
The themes of forgiveness and redemption are strong in Uncharted Redemption. And through the characters in the story I was reminded of how God has redeemed us, He has forgiven us of things we don't think are forgivable.
If you can't decide between a historical or a futuristic tale Uncharted Redemption will fit the bill perfectly. Keely Keith has a wonderful writing style and a great series going, I eagerly look forward to reading book three and any further stories she writes.
