Fiona Davenport's new book is LIVE!!!
I devoured it in one sitting, and as always I LOVED every word! A delicious spy smut, along the lines of Mr. and Mrs Smith, but even steamier!!! <3

Finally someone wrote a Mr. & Mrs. Smith romance! It was about time, esp. given thats one of my all time fav movies! I really like this author, she has done her research on weaponry, accessories, day-to-day of a spy operative etc. even for a novella, which I respect.

Romance books are usually about getting to the HEA, a very few are about the relationship after the HEA and those are my favourites to read. A lot of authors bungle the after-HEA part, bringing in amnesia or baby drama or something else lame on-loan from some soap opera. I feel a bit aghast and sorry for those authors if they think thats what makes life interesting after you get with a man!

Any couple can get together, its the happy-staying together thats rare. Luckily for me more authors are writing about this part in a healthy and smart way these days and I'm glad to support them. This book is a perfect example - it shows a couple fighting for each other even while fighting with each other, communicating (and not just verbally!), taking care of each other - not just physically, and being so into each other that they can't help jumping the other person all the time:) I loved it and it will stay on my reread shelf!

It's no secret that I LOVE this author, but this one was just OK for me. It reminded me a lot of that movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which I loved. I just couldn't connect to the characters in this one.

First it felt like we were dropped into the middle of their story. They see each other at an auction and then BAM we are already thrust into their marriage and spy games. I would have liked more of a courtship period to read about. Also, Alex didn't seem as OTT alpha as some of her other heroes and Evie (love that name *lol*) was a bit too "alpha" for me. I like my heroines a little less "assassin". Plus I figured out the traitor WAY early in the book.

Overall it was OK, just not great.

Holy Shit I just finished I'm Yours Baby and jumped on here to find out what came next in the series and literally stumbled on this and like the genius I am realised it's Justice (Alex) who we met briefly in the last book so on the mountain it goes. Fingers crossed it ever makes it to the summit and I actually read it.

I really liked this book by Fiona Davenport. Much longer than the previous books I've read. It is a cross between the movies True Lies and Mrs. And Mrs. Smith. Another OTT alpha male, but this time they're married and have been for 4 years, but both have secret lives.

Hopefully there is another book with Martin and Kelly (who is mentioned in the epilogue).

I love mr. & mrs. Smith so this reminded me of that but with more sex lol like way more.

I liked Alex but i felt he wasn't alpha enough for me.. as much as i love Genevieve she felt way more OTT alpha.. highest kill shots, knows more languages,  dives infront of her husband.. she puts herself more at risk then Alex did.. which had me bummed me .. and it was kinda known who the trader was who put a hit on Evie.. lol so that wasn't a shocker..

Also idk if this annoyed anyone but it did annoy me when Evie kept saying Stud.. annoyed me atleast it wasn't during sex lol

No cheating, no ow/om drama, Drama, sexy times, no virgins

I liked this book. Both MCs were strong and very much in love. There was just something missing for me that I usually get from this authors books. Not even sure what it was. Overall still a good read and she is still an auto buy author for me.

So the cat is out of the bag on Fiona Davenport! It was definitely a nice surprise considering Rochelle Paige is one of my very favorite authors and Elle Christensen is super new to me. With that news, these two ladies are bloody brilliant when they write as Fiona because this book right here surpasses any book they had previously penned to date.

Until Death Do We Part was an amazing read and a bit longer than the usual Fiona style book. It was sexy, sweet, intense, passionate, fast, suspenseful, action-packed, edgy, gritty, and had quite a few twists and turns along the way. This storyline hooked me from the very start and didn't let me go until I have devoured Evie and Alex's entire story.

Introducing Evie and Alex... blissfully married for four years with lots of love for each other and enough passion for a lifetime. But things are not what they may seem for these two and their worlds are about to collide. Each holds a secret close... one that could be detrimental to each other. They have to figure out who they can trust... including each other.

Oh the steam and chemistry between Evie and Alex... it just poured off of the pages on my kindle. I couldn't help but get sucked into their story and hoped for the best. Until Death Do We Part is a complete standalone and had everything you expect from Fiona Davenport and maybe a touch more. Get ready to be on the edge of your seat in this romance.

I highly recommend this book.

4 Baby and Stud Stars

Alex Shaw.
Code Name: Justice
Contracts attorney.
Adoring husband.
Spy with a reputation for being able to break anyone.

Genevieve Shaw.
Code Name: Scarlett
International art dealer.
Loving wife.
Covert operative with more kills to her name than any other agent.

This is what you need to know about these two. They meet by chance on a job, he as a contract lawyer. She as an international art deal... or so they think.

It isn't until years later that they discover the reality of their lives and who they really are. But their love and trust bring them through the questions quickly. They know each other despite the deceptions and love each other through all the trials.

This was very different from what I've read from Fiona before and what I've been into and reading lately. But once I got into it, was a great. Quick read. The sex was prevalent and started almost immediately, but never became stale throughout the book. They got it on for more reasons then lust or love, every chance they got. And it was H.O.T.

Their jobs as spies were intense and exciting. They knew who they were and why they did what they did. But when it came time to depend on each other they were there thru and thru, no matter what. Protecting and defending each other at every turn.

Thank you for the chance to read the book it was a fantastic and exciting ride.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, drama, action, suspense, twists & turns and steam.

This is Genevieve (Evie) and Alex's story. These two are married and happily in love. From the outside, they look like every other couple, the perfect pair but both have secrets that is going to rock their world. What happens when the truth it exposed? Can they complete their mission? Can they handle the danger before it is too late? Who can they trust, including each other? Will they find a way to KEEP their happily ever after?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

3.75-4 stars. A sexy short read. The perfect blend of suspense, sweetness and sexiness. This was Evie and Alex's story. This married couple are both spies, unbeknownst to each other. That is, until they are sent on the same mission, and have to figure out how to get their missions accomplished together. This was very "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"-esque with more sexy times. An entertaining, fun book!

⎯» Rating: 3 Stars
⎯» Genre: Romantic Suspense
⎯» POV: Dual First Person

”Alex and I might have opposing orders, but he was still my safe place. My beloved husband, and the only person I would ever truly trust to have my back.”

A whirlwind romance between two secret agents, both unaware of the other’s identity. When they finally learn the truth about each other, conflicting orders, assassins, and betrayal stand in their way of making it home alive.

I liked both the hero and heroine, and although I’m not a fan of insta-love romances I enjoyed their dynamic once they had actually established a relationship.

I would sum this book up as a quick and fun read. It wasn’t intense, or emotional. There was no digging deeper into the plot or characters; more of a ‘lay back and enjoy the ride’ story.

It's no secret that I pretty much love everything Fiona Davenport has written.

There was just something about this book I didn't really connect with. It's pretty much just like the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

--couple meets, has a whirlwind courtship, marries, then years later discover the other has been hiding a secret.--

Alex and Evie were both great strong characters, I actually loved the fact that even though both hid this other part of who they were from each other not once did they doubt each other's love.

So why only 3 stars? We kept getting teased that maybe Alex and Evie's bosses knew about the other were trying to out their secrets, but it was never mentioned. You would think that having someone working for Alex like Martin, who can seem to hack ANYTHING he would've been able to find out about Evie.? Also I get that the author was trying to make Alex a caveman alpha male, but the way he hovered over Evie while on their mission, he should know would put her in more danger than what she was in. She's been an assassin for years, she can take care of herself.

Fiona Davenport is the pen name created by two very talented authors and I am a huge fan and have read all the books and will continue to do so. This book reminded me of the movie Mr & Mrs Smith except the book was really great. Alex Shaw is a contracts attorney who's also a spy with the code name Justice. He has a reputation of being able to break anyone ... no matter what it takes. He met Genevieve (Evie) a few years ago while on a mission in London and knew she was the one immediately. They moved in together after two weeks and were married within a few months and they've been happily married for four years. Evie Shaw is an international art dealer who is also a spy code name Scarlett. She is deadly and has more kills than any other operative. The couple work for different agencies and have no idea about each other. What happens when they're both given the same target but with different outcomes ?

ARC REVIEW

Think Mr. and Mrs. Smith but with more sex, more emotional connection to the characters and instead of fighting and angry sex it's just good hard fucking. Now Alex and Evie Shaw are happily married and thinking about starting a family, but after four years of hiding the truth from each other their other life forces it's way into their HEA. The book for me started a little rocky I had a bit of a hard time getting into it but once it got to the meat of the book it was unputdownable. At one point I was holding my breath, it was exciting. I loved both characters, Alex was just alpha enough to make you hot and the fact that he accepts Evie as she is both as the woman she is and as the infamous assassin, makes him hotter. Evie is a Jill of all trades in the spy biz; an expert marksman who can shoot any thing, but also hand to hand combat and bunch of other stuff but she also is a loving and devoted wife.
Overall, this was an excellent read.

Romantic suspense ✔️
Alpha male✔️
Kickass characters ✔️

So I have read a few of Fiona Davenports books and I got to say Until Death Do We Part
Is my favorite thus far.
I haven't read a lot of spy books, but I can say this is by far one of my favorite ones.

I loved the characters. I really loved Alex. I loved how devoted and possessive he was of his wife. It was hot. And Evie was the same way with Alex. I really loved how Alex and Evie were equals in this book. They both were kickass. Evie wasn't one of those heroines that were always crying when something went bad. No, she was right in the middle of it.

This book had a lot of suspense, romance and action. Everything I love in a book.

Overall, this was a great fast paced read with amazing romance, suspense, and kickass characters. I loved how I love Alex was with his wife and vice versa. And it's definitely hot and sexy. Alex and Evie are explosive together.
