I received an ARC for an honest review from the author.
Keeping in line with all of her previously successful books Elizabeth Kelly's hits another one out of the park. The intense relationship between Kat and Ronin is absolutely consuming. Everything about their banter to their chemistry is off the charts. This book picks up where Ava and the Bear leaves off giving you a very detailed look at the story from all angles. I love how Elizabeth tells the story from everyone's view keeping the other couples relevant. This is a Great book you cannot miss. I highly recommend this next thrilling step into the shifter world.

"Katarina and the Bird", third in 'The Shifter' series by Elizabeth Kelly, has a crazed scientist to keep things interesting.
A virus, spread through injury, is causing some Shifters to mutate and start attacking anyone they come across.
Bird Shifter Ronin is, at least in the mind of the scientist, the key to curing it. However, Ronin is keeping well out of the way as he has no intention of becoming an unwilling guinea pig for a second time.
And, of course, Cougar Shifter Kat is rocking his boat. As usual there is lots of energetic sex but a problem with getting past the friends with benefits stage. It's mostly on her side, he's an employee and, heavens above, a bird!
While the two earlier novels in the series had a problem finding a balance between the romance/sex and mystery elements this time round it seemed more organised.
It's a light and pleasant read, it's just not particularly memorable.

Here is the story of Kat and Ronin. It's the third book of the serie, "The Shifters", and can be read as a standalone.
Ronin was definitely an interesting character, mysterious, full of sass, and humor. I liked him. In contrast, I found Kat a bit too stubborn and the back and forth with Ronin got old quickly.
The storyline tells about Kat needing a partner to go through her heat. She tried to manage it by herself and even went to do interviews with potential partners but eventually she was too attracted to Ronin to think touching another guy. Ronin is a special type of shifter and is very mysterious about it. He hides a big secret that could put Kat in danger.
As I said, I'm not a big fan of Kat so it's why I rated this book 3.5 stars but still the read was pleasant and kept me interested.

Okay, in full disclosure: I only bought this book because I wanted to know what kind of bird shifter Ronin was. I really enjoyed parts of it, and really didn't others, but those are on me and not the author. I am not a big fan of drama or overarching storylines. This book has a much deeper story than the previous ones which could easily be something out group has to address further on in the series, and that's the part I didn't like. On the plus side, there's a lot of action in this book. I love Kat and Ronin. I love their chemistry, and their banter. (I didn't care as much for Ginger & Fenton's story which is also sort of in this book, but that's because Ginger seems like a flake to me. She contradicts herself several times.)

Wow! The action in this book never stops. Katarina thinks a bird shifter (Ronin) is beneath her jaguar but the chemistry between the two is off the charts. Besides, he's her employee. She succumbs. Ronin wants to help Katarina during her heat cycle and, when he does, steamy romance times 100. There's a lot going on in the background as well with scary shifters infected by a virus, an evil scientist wanting Ronin back in his clutches, a man who works for the evil scientist who also teleports and the whole time Katarina and Ronin are getting closer. They do find their happily ever after together.

5/5 🌟, 3.5/5 🌶️. I'm obsessed! The best book in the series so far. I DNF'd book 4 so I'm not sure I'll continue afterwards, I don't think the other books can live up to this one. I love the chemistry between Kat and Ronin and this was much spicier than books 1 and 2 (be prepared)! The subplot was really great too (regarding Ronin's past) and it took me a while to figure it out. It's a good simple storyline and simple world building and the pacing is perfect for me. I can't handle a slow story progression in a fantasy book, and this one reads like a fantasy book with the pacing of a thriller. Good story progression, good character development, no complaints! I keep thinking about this book too, which is what puts it at a 5/5 rather than 4.5/5.

This was cute, but def more insta love/lust? Like I enjoyed the characters, but it seemed like they barely knew each other and but exchanged I love yous?? Also I was not a super fan of the virus plot, but overall it kept my interest!!

Katarina and the Bird is Kelly's third book in her shifter series. And as always she delivered a funny, sweet, exciting and sexy book. Kelly does such a great job of intertwining all the characters of the previous two books, they don't just become supporting characters all the stories connect and I love that. I love that even though this book is obviously about Kat and Ronin we also get the continuation of Willow and Mal and Ava and Bishop. And as an added bonus Ginger finally gets her happines as well. Ok now back to Kat and Ronin. I think Ronin might be one of my favorite Heroes, he is funny, cocky,protective and confident and does not let Kats reluctance stop him from pursuing her. Kat denies her feelings for Ronin for as long as she can but her jealousy over a vampire Ronin was protecting helped her realize how much she liked him, well, that and her heat cycle. Even though after her cycle she still tried to deny her feelings, by that time it was too late, and she had to admit that she had feelings for him. Katarina and the Bird is a must read just make sure you read the other 2 books first.

Series keeps getting better! I loved both Kat and Ronin's personalities, and their relationship has always sizzled- even in the previous book. It's a quick read- good dialogue. There were a few questions that were left unanswered (Fenton/Ginger) and I was surprised by Kat's mother's interaction with Ronin (I expected this to be a bigger part of the story line based on the previous book- a big area of tension) but Kat was real and Ronin charmed me the entire time. I respected her strength and assertiveness, and MAN the scene at the end with Ronin in the lab being tested over and over was intense! Of the three books in the series thus far, Kat and Ronin not only are my favorite characters but they're also my favorite couple. I didn't give this book a five because while Katarina and the Bird was a fun read, it didn't grip me like some of Elizabeth Kelly's other books have. She has a few that I read in one sitting, sat and blinked for a few minutes, then immediately started reading all over again. That said, I would still recommend- good read!

I was given an arc copy in exchange for an honest review and what can I say I loved it, it was so good. I loved every minute of this book at first I was a little lost with the new characters but quickly got it. I absolutely love Kat and her "Pretty Bird". The chemistry between them was hot and explosive, and once Kat decided she wants something she's not about to let nothing and no one take away what's hers. Don't worry all the character you know and love are in this story and dealing with life changes of their own and omg the way Kat finds out what kind of bird Ronin is so amazing and heartbreaking all at once. Can't wait for Porters book thank you Elizabeth Kelly for another amazing read.

Holy wow! This series has easily become one of my favorites. This book did not disappoint. I love how we see so much of the secondary characters as well as the protaganists. It almost feels as if there isn't really secondary characters. Katarina is a tough, no nonsense kind of woman that I couldn't help but respect immediately. Ronin, what can I say about Ronin, other than he made my heart stutter so many times. This book and series is a must read. If you haven't checked it out, what are you waiting for?! I received a copy in exchange for an honest review and now I need the next in the series. Can't it be out yet?

I was given an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and omg I loved it so much. Elizabeth Kelly keeps getting better and better this has quickly become one of my favorite paranormal series. Kat and Ron are amazing and I loved the chemistry between them. Can I also say how much I loved Kats possiveness and the fact that she calls him her pretty bird. It was amazingly written and it will keep you on the edges of your sit. I definitely recommend reading this one trust me when I say you will not be disappointed

I received an advanced authors copy in exchange for my honest review. Just finished Katrina and the bird, awesome! Definitely loved all the side stories too. Ronin might be my favorite! Those two seem like polar opposites, but they fit together perfectly. Ronin story is heartbreaking, but real. I could definitely see why he'd have to hide what he is. Also the side stories for Willow and Ava were great! Even Ginger finds her man :-P I would like to see Keegan, Koren, Bren, Clay, or any of the other wolf brothers like Porter find their mates! Can't wait for the next!

I received an ARC for an honest review, I cannot get enough of this series, Kat is a strong female character who is a jaguar shifter who falls in love with of all things a bird shifter, I love Kat and Ronin from previous books and was so glad their story was next in line, Elizabeth writes books that you want to read over and over with just enough suspense that you can't put down but not enough where you can't sleep at night unless you start the book to late and then can't break away

I always enjoy a book by Elizabeth Kelly.
You really cannot go wrong.
The character development and storyline, as well as it being a full length book without any dull moments makes this a winner.

A really good read. I have never read about cat or bird shifters, but I loved it. You will just have to get the book to understand.

Beware
I bought the 1st book in hthis series because it was a dollar. By the time I got to the end of it I was hooked I ended up buying the next one and the 3rd book. All 3 are written very well and Ms. Kelly keeps you hooked thru the whole book!

This is my favorite book out of the whole series!! I loved Kat and Ronin!! The chemistry between those two was hot!! Kat is such a strong character and I totally wanted her to end up with someone who could match her and Ronin was definitely who I would’ve pick! This book had action and romance coming off every page.
