Charlotte is need of a bodyguard. But when she comes to Bear Claw Security looking for help, the last thing she expects to see is Mr. Perfect, with his fitted clothes and expensive appearance and perfect smile. All wrong for her, all too much of a reminder of something she desperately wants to forget. So Mr. Perfect’s tough, rough twin brother will have to do instead.
Mark Bronson is used to going after what he wants, in both business and in life. So when his bear instantly recognizes the woman that walks in as his mate, he’s not going to roll over and let her walk out of his life, even if she seems inordinately averse to him. Instead, he has the lovely, curvy Charlotte hire his twin brother instead. So when he walks up to her door that night, swapping out his Armani suit for something a bar bouncer would wear instead, she has no clue it’s actually the same person.
To Mark’s surprise, he may not be the only one who thinks they’ve found their mate. But even though the heat between them burns brighter than the sun, Char’s not sure if she’s ready to commit again, and Mark will have to find the balance between protecting the woman he loves and telling her the truth about who is really is. And Char’s fears about needing a bodyguard may be much more real than either of them could have anticipated.

What you'll find in this story; as cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, fantastic story-line, picturesque and powerful scene descriptions, phenomenal banter, camaraderie, heart-rending moments, action, undeniable rage, horrific danger, life-threatening incident, emotions spiral, skyrocketing heart-pounding sensual romance, and a melt your heart conclusion leaving you wanting more.
While managing the financials for Bear Claw Security Mark has also trained to be a body guard acquiring strapping muscles, numerous fighting and mental skills. He also dresses in classy designer suits instead of the black tee and combat garb that the other guards wear. When the curvaceous beautiful Char {Charlotte} comes to the office in need of a body guard Mark knows he has found his forever mate. Char refuses to hire Mark as her body guard because his rich flawless demeanor is a reminder of her previous tortured life. Desperately wanting to protect her, Mark poses as his twin hoping his lie will not destroy his chances to win her heart. Char’s abusive ex has his own devious plans to get her back.
WOW/FANTASTIC fast paced well written creative read by a truly gifted author. The characters are more than credible and come alive with the fabulous dialogue, intriguing plot and fun scene descriptions. The author shows that though you are living with abuse there is always help to free you. Mark proves to be a most gallant hero. I also love the camaraderie between all the characters. The chemistry between Char and Mark is genuine and filled with warm loving passion. Beau seems to be a most intriguing character and I cannot wait to read his story. This was a most delightful and gratifying read, and I loved it. If you treasure shifter romance, this is certainly a terrific book for your library. {I was gifted this book and this is my honest review}. In the world of shifter romance, the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations, I recommend this book
*sigh* I think I am a horrible reader. I enjoy Ms. Bolryder's books. The storylines, the characters,(), but the one thing that keeps tripping me up is she doesn't continue with the world building. I feel sometimes she feels the story has to be over and wants to get into the next story, but I'm continually left feeling questions are not answered and I hope they might be answered in the next book, but . . . *sigh* Still I finished this one and now I have to read Beau Hunt's story King of Rock, which is good for Ms. Bolryder, as an author, but me, I am left wondering if yet again my questions and thoughts will not be answered.
I just love all of Terry Bolryder's shifter books! I'm intrigued with them, I love her writing style, and I can never wait for another to come out!!! In this one you get Mark's story. Mark is Bronson's twin brother, and he's bound and determined to protect the woman who comes to them asking for help.
Charlotte feels threatened by her ex, and is scared of wealthy rich men who think their money can buy them any and every thing. She's adamant about not wanting Mark as her bodyguard.
What's Mark to do when all he wants to do,it protect and guard his mate, no matter what? I loved it!!!! I received a gifted ARC from Terry, in exchange for this review, but I also purchased a copy to support her, authors like her, and my love of reading. Very well worth reading!!!!
Charlotte needs a bodyguard, but she does not want the obviously rich guy who is available for the job. Mark has to think fast when his mate walks into Bear Claw Security and immediately rejects him based on his clothing choices. Unfortunately, his first response is to tell a lie. He goes in as his twin brother, Bronson. Since he never told her his name he gets by with using his "middle name," Mark. Char works at a shelter for abused women and Mark is immediately compelled to do anything he can to help her help these women. As the two of them grow closer, Mark knows he is going to have to come clean and hope Charlotte can forgive him. But before he can tell her the truth her past comes back to haunt them both.
This was such a great ending. Mark and Char were an awesome couple to read about and they wrapped up the Bear Claw security series beautifully! I was also so excited to make the connection with Beau. I read his book two weeks ago. I love all the connections in this world of shifters that Terry Bolryder has created. As always if you are looking for a great HEA, any of her books are a great choice!
The love story of Mark and Charlotte. Bronson's twin brother, Mark is mow working for Bear Claw Security and he has meet his mate who want nothing to do with him. So he pretend to be his brother. Charlotte want protection from her ex-husband, who when she find happiness he shown up to ruined it. Can Mark save her? Great story.
Mark was smitten from the moment he saw Charlotte but she didn't like rich people.Charlotte was a victim of spousal abuse, she didn't trust easily. This story will have you so wrapped up in what is going on you won't want the book to end.
Mark was Bronson's twin who was the head of a secure agency.
Mark liked the nicer things in life. He dressed the part as well. Was comfortable in it. Then in walks a female convinced to have anyone but him guarding her?
Bear to the End is book 5 of Bear Claw Security by Terry Bolryder boxed set. This is an awesome story. Have some hard moments but with some action. Goodg reading. Thanks
Best book of the series. The lovebirds are the same at their core, both putting others first. It is easy to see why they fall in love, and are meant to be.
What a fantastic read. The series gets better and better. Hot sexy guys, smart, intelligent , sexy women. Some twists and turns all with a happy ever after. A must read.
I have loved every moment with the men and their mates of Bear Claw Security. I really, really hope that Bronson hires some more recruits so that we can continue to catch up with these great couples and their amazing stories once again.
Mark is settling into the business, working the company financials and getting very good at his training to take on the role of a bodyguard. To be fair, Mark likes expensive things. He’s rich in his own right and can certainly afford his luxuries – but he’s not a stuck up, I’m better than you kind of rich guy, he just likes what he likes. Unfortunately for him that fact did not work in his favor when he met his first client – a shifter who also just happens to be his mate. Charlotte obviously needs help, she has a feeling that her ex is stalking her again, getting ready to pull another one of his cruel stunts. But one look at Mark and she’s outta there. No way some rich dude is ever going to understand or be able to help her. No she’ll take her chances elsewhere.
So Mark does something really foolish. He volunteers his twin Bronson as her bodyguard, with no intention of allowing anyone else near his mate. He could dress the part, be anything Char needed him to be as long as he could protect her. So, okay, it was technically a lie, his taking over his twin’s place but it was for the best… and as the lie got bigger, and he fell deeper in love with this wonderful, wounded woman, Mark kept telling himself another lie. That it would be alright and she’d understand when he finally told her the truth. Men. Sometimes they are so clueless. What is a relationship based on a lie except non-existent.
Events finally come to a head as Char’s ex shows up and threatens her and the work she’s doing at the shelter. He’s super rich, and he can make it all go away if she doesn’t agree to his demands.
I enjoyed Bear To The End very much. Mark and Char were well matched, sexy as all get out and each held on to their own secrets that should have been shared from the start. We cannot help how we instinctively react to certain situations when we’ve been endangered by them before. If we’re lucky enough we learn how to pick the good guys from the bad, and judge each person on themselves not on what someone else has done to hurt us.
And what a sweet and intriguing ending… nope, you’re gonna have to discover that for yourself. Don’t worry, you’ll enjoy the adventure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Mark Bronson’s story brings a thrilling twist with his twin brother’s involvement and a clever deception to win over Charlotte, a curvy woman haunted by her past. The chemistry is electric, mixing danger, humor, and tender moments as Mark fights to prove himself trustworthy. Charlotte’s hesitation adds emotional depth, and the protective instincts of Mark make for a gripping romance with plenty of surprises and genuine connection.
This series just gets better and better. Each story, a stand alone with reoccuring people, has a wonderful couple--Mark and Char(lotte) are two of the best. Mark is new to Bear Claw agency, a well dressed businessman, brother of Bronson the owner. He likes doing the paperwork and financials--UNTIL Charlotte shows up needing a bodyguard. Now he wants the assignment. However, Char doesn't want him! She wants someone like Herc or one of the others--not a rich guy! Well dang! There is something about this woman--mate. Being Bronson's twin gives him an idea. Dressed in camo pants and Tee as twins he can pretend to be Bronson. It's just a little lie.
Char has been abused by her now ex and is afraid he is back. Mark is on her--ooops--with her 24/7. Their attraction can only remain business like for so long. She wonders if he is her mate, but still is insecure with men. Can they find their way together? Can she overcome her fears and allow the so different Mark near her? Will his lies come back to bite him--and their relationship?
Mark is a sweetheart, unless you touch his mate or threaten her. Their road to friendship--love has plenty of potholes and even some boulders that have to be removed but in the end it is trust that is the most important. Can their mate bond hold to overcome the hazards along the way?
I loved it and once again Terry Bolryder has given us a winner. Don't miss it.
I love this series so much!! Mark is training to be a bodyguard while working the books at his twin brother, Bronson's security firm. He's a very successful accountant and is a very rich bear, but he enjoys working with his brother and the rest of the guys. When Charlotte comes in needing protection from her ex, Mark immediately recognizes her as his mate and will do anything to protect her. Only problem is that Char refuses to work with Mark, she's been burned by the rich before and wants nothing to do with another rich guy, no matter how sexy he is. Bronson has more of the background that Char is looking for so Mark pretends to be Bronson in order to protect his mate. Building their relationship on a lie is extremely risky, especially since she's been hurt before but Mark will do whatever it takes to make Char happy and keep her safe from her horrible ex. I'm glad Mark got his HEA, that means all the guys in Bear Claw are mated and they're looking for recruits. I'm super interested in hearing more about Hercules and his estranged family. Beau Hunt is the first half brother introduced and I can't wait to be able to read his story!!! Keep them coming!!!
Mark and Charlotte don't have a great first meeting. She refuses to have him be her assigned bodyguard. He knows she is his mate and his decides he will pretend to be his twin in order to get the job. It is never a good idea to lie to the one you love.
Mark is very wealthy and sophisticated. He is also a bear shifter. He has broken ties with his prominent family to work with his brother at his security business. Once he meets Charlotte, he knows she is his mate and he won't be separated from her.
Charlotte has a painful past. She is also a bear shifter but not from a wealthy family. She has a bad history with men and it leads her to not trust a man that looks like Mark. She works for a charity that helps the victims of domestic violence. Her ex is causing issues and she hopes a bodyguard can protect her.
Their feelings for each other are intense but keeping secrets risks their happiness. The characters have great chemistry and I really enjoyed the story. I have read some of the other books in the series and recommend them too.
I loved this story!! Mark is a rich bear shifter from one of the best bear families. He is a great CEO but decides to leave it all behind to join his brother at Bear Claw security. He has just finished training and is ready for his first assignment but prefers office work. Char is a bear shifter and works in a womans shelter. She comes to Bear Claw Security looking for protection from her abusive ex-husband. The only guard available is Mark but she refuses to hire him because of his rich guy appearance. Mark realizes that Char is his mate and is upset she might be in danger. He decides to pretend to be his twin and acts as her bodyguard. He just wants to protect his mate. In following Char around, he learns a lot more about how badly some men abuse the women and children they should be protecting.. He really grows as a person. Char has to overcome her prejudice against rich guys and people who lie to her.
I was given this book for an honest review. Mark is working for his twin Bronson at Bear Claw Security, trained to protect and fight. He likes his comfort and form fitting tailor-made clothes. Char comes for help needing a bodyguard and one look at Mark, turns him down flat. She's had enough of the rich, spoiled men. Money can't buy everything, especially her. Mark realizes she's his mate and poses as his twin to be able to guard her. Oh, I forgot to add she HATES liars. Mark has his work cut out for him pretending not to be rich, getting use to the uncomfortable things in life as Char starts falling for him not knowing he's really the rich guy in the office. Eventually, the truth comes out and how they deal with this needs to be read to know.
What in the heck is even up with this series? These last 4 books have all started off with one of the MCs misjudging or straight up being prejudice towards the other for their appearance, background, socioeconomic class. That's just stupid. I could overlook it if it was the premise of one of the books, but seriously, there are other ways to introduce tension into the getting-to-know-each-other part of the story without all that dramz.
At any rate, I think this one might be my favorite of the series. I guess I just liked Charlotte & Mark and kind of felt like Terry's storytelling finally hit its stride with this one, where some of the others felt just too trite or repetitive and kind of fell flat for me.
Sexy, fun, and romantic, this story has it all! Charlotte needs a bodyguard to protect her from her ex husband. When she meets Mark she adamantly refuses to hire him, claiming that he was too rich. When his "twin" shows up she is just ass attracted to him, but luckily he dresses and acts nothing like his rich brother. What she does not know is they are one and the same! Mark is determined to protect Char, who turns out to be his mate, and will do anything to keep her safe, even if it means lying to her. But when the truth comes out and her ex shows up, will things explode, or end in happiness? I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Stylish Mark Bronson is working with his twin at Bear Claw Security. He is doing all their finance stuff and that's the way he likes it. Although, he has also been training with the bunch. Just by looking at him you can tell the difference. When the Bell rings and they know it has to mean one thing...a new client. His life is about to change.
Charlotte needs to hire a bodyguard. Her ex is stalking her. She thought hell no when the stylishly piece of man hunk wants to take the job. There is no way she is allowing him to do it!
I look forward to meeting Herc's brother in the next book.
The books in this series are so edge of your seat. Most of the security guys are ex military and have the instincts needed to succeed in security biz. But the way that the story's are written is what makes the books so mouth watering. She really gets into the head of each man and let's us see what is going on. On the flip side we get to see into the eyes of the victims as well. A very well written series, each book just keeps getting better. I would love to look into Hercules family more, especially his rock star what half brother. Bring it on Terry.
mark is the only unmated one left then in walk Charlotte, char to her friends, she needs a bodyguard and does not want Mark. so he does what he has to he lies and it could cost him everything, when she finds out she kicks him to the curb and her ex takes advantage of that. mark proves himself but will that be enough?
i have loved this series, and i hope with Hercules brother showing up at the end we might get his and the others stories.
