The legend continues! Titan Books presents the further adventures of the world's greatest secret agent, in this third instalment of a classic action series! After spending over a year on a fruitless search for Ernst Stavro Blofeld and his sinister organisation, SPECTRE, Bond decides he's had enough and pens his letter of resignation! Before he can deliver it, however, fate smiles on him once more and it's not long before he has ingratiated himself with the Corsican Mafia, managed to get back on Blofeld's trail and got involved with a beautiful woman...This new edition also features an exclusive introduction by OHMSS Bond star George Lazenby and background material created solely for this series.

The last two Bond stories written by Henry Gammidge and drawn by John McLusky. And a cracking pair of thrillers they are too! OHMSS is the second best film in the series, and second best Fleming book (after FRWL, best book AND film), both are adapted very well. Lovely long stories to get your teeth into, and has some of McLusky’s best art. The action scenes in OHMSS are fantastic. Although I have always thought the McLusky’s Bond looked a tad older than the should, especially in the earlier adaptations.
YOLT is fairly faithful to Fleming’s novel but also sets up elements for the next story, The Man With The Golden Gun, that Fleming never did.

One can make a argument that the best incarnation of 007 was the comic strip. Most of the Bond books are poorly written and Fleming often exposes his bigotry. The films went downhill before Connery left and were only infrequently good thereafter. The strips in this collection, which adapt the novels ON HER MAJESTIES SECRET SERVICE and YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, are not as good as the best things in the books or the best films, but in aggregate the strip is stronger than the aggregate of either. Plain language: this is a fun and rewarding collection.

A wonderful narrative flow that does not get impacted in the 3-panel daily-strip telling. Gammidge and McClusky have definitely made this Fleming story their own and it is expertly brought to life. A poignant and heartbreaking story that finally reaches a conclusion in the second strip collected in this book - You Only Live Twice. A great adaptation!

Superb! Gathered OHMSS and You Only Live Twice comic strips. Brilliant stuff. Want to read the original Fleming books now!
