Dark forces reveal their plots as the forces of good struggle to uncover them. At each turn, those aligned with light are cut off from their own and lost in the chaos that surrounds them. With Ara's death, only his wife and the future heir to the throne are left to combat the growing darkness.

Within all of this, Namir and his friends find themselves consumed by enemies, burdened by woes and thrust into the fray against their will. John Harrison is a talented fiction writer that has the remarkable ability to convert even the most mundane occurrence into something fantastic, no matter the setting or environment. His writing, though not prolific, is not monogamous to any one genre.

He can regularly be seen watching events transpire around him with a thoughtful, and often playful, expression glued to his face.

All of his works can be found where ever fine books are sold, but may also be purchased online and in some of the seedier book dealers as well.

He has two series available for perusal and is working on several stand alone projects because an author cannot live off of the idolatry of a few series.

Shadow Play is the second book of the Shadow Series, and it tells of the secrets that are coming to light and their implications to regain order and peace and for the fight against evil. This book is even more packed with suspense, mystery and tension than it's predecessor, but at the same time the development of the events follows it's thread. The characters are Will described as are the places where the events taker place. It has been a very enjoyable read.
Regarding the author, I have to say that he has great imagination and an amazing way to develop the story.

First thing first, you must read Shadow Dance before you continue on to Shadow Play, with that being said this book picks up right where the previous one had left off; in Shadow Play we continue to follow Namir on his journey to discover who he really is and his place in the world. While also going along his all his other friends as they all find themselves being pulled in different directions than that they had all originally planned on. What I love about this book series is the different dimensions of all the characters, while no one single character is all good or all evil, you do at times discover abit as to why they are the way that they are, and reasons they had to make the choices that they made, and the consequences they had to deal with as a result.

While this novel is considered a fantasy, there is a bit of a mystery element to it, because through all the events that the characters go through, there seems to be some unseen force that pulling events to go in their favor, which at times leaves the reader wondering if all the events happening simply fate or if there is character simply masterminding everyone, one things for sure, fans of Shadow Dance will not be disappointed.

The second of John Harrison's Shadow series. Namir is filled with even more questions and doubt about who he is and what his heritage really means and he's not the only one as Aves also learns more about her mother. Halin is trapped in some deep cavern while his brother Nurn looks for him. Landolin is uncovering mysteries of his own as he investigates Hornshire. The story line is good.

The most irritating thing about this book is the number of spell errors or missing entire words altogether. A few here and there are expected however there are 1or 2 every couple pages. Though it happened once the use of "fast forward" in a fantasy genre with no technology in the world is also annoying.

If the errors are edited it would be a decent book.

This author is magically talented.
The writing, the characters and the imagery are brilliant.

The story carries on where the "Shadow dance" story ends off.
I highly recommend this saga to anyone who enjoys reading great stories while not being able to put the book away because it's so enchanting.

I can't wait to see what John Harrison comes up with next.
