Sakai Kazuya is a 23 year-old man in love. Unfortunately, the object of his affection is a woman who's only interested in well-educated men. Sakai never finished high school-he's been living off his brawn, not his brains-so he enlists the aid of the woman's younger brother, Ezumi Masashi, to help him pass the high school entrance exam. Ezumi is happy to assist, but his services come with a very steep fee; he isn't interested in money-he has his sights set on Sakai's other assets...
There is an OCD order for the entire "construction company" series:
1. I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone 2. Maybe I'm Your Steppin' Stone 3. Otonage 4. Oomaji 5. Gaten na Aitsu 6. P.B.B./Play Boy Blues 7. Punch Up 8. Mayou Otoko
I liked them a lot, was funny to see how their relationship starts and how in the end they both fall in love. Kazuya (23) has always loved big boobs and he thinks that he is in love with Masashi's older sister, the younger boy (18), tells him that his sister will never go out with a guy who dropped out of school never going to high-school and tells him that if he wants to take the exam, he will help him but for a reward, sex. Kazuya that has never been with a man, accepts and doesnt even think about what they do as sex, till Masashi makes him understand that 2 men can actually do it. Is the first time for both of them with a man, and for Masashi his first at all, while Kazuya has had other experiences with women. In the end we see that Kazuya has fallen in love with Masashi, and we understand that the boy had suggested that stupid reward bcs he was already in love with the older man. I liked the jealousy, the misunderstandings, and the hot sex scenes, but most of all i liked the feelings. The plot is simple, but also if it was only 4 chapters i found it interesting.

Kazuya and Musashi start a relationship based on a give and take. Kazuya wants to get his high school diploma so that he'll be worthy of Musashi's sister and Musashi wants Kazuya and can teach him. So in exchange for lessons, Kazuya pays Musashi with sex.
What begins as a simple - in Kasuya's mind - exchange becomes something more quite fast. Which isn't unexpected because, honestly, who agrees to exchange sex for math lessons without there being something more? So Kazuya and Musashi's relationship gets off to a very rocky start and the question becomes is it too rocky to end happily or can Kaziya admit he loves a man and can Musashi believe him?
I'd call this classic Shiuko Kano since it has the perfect mix of Kano's steamy artwork with the emotional drama side of the story. You can drool over their physical relationship and feel for their emotional plight; a perfect BL manga mix.
Eh. I can't say I liked this that much. The sex wasn't bad, but the rest was a bit too convoluted for me. It's not like it's a rare thing for people not talking to each other and not realizing their feelings, but it feels like they had to go through the same thing over and over again. And as usual, the sex can be as hot as it wants, if I don't care for the characters it's just... well, kinda boring.
