I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The first thing I have to say is I loved, loved, loved the cover picture! For me, the shoes screamed “wear me!” and really made the book stand out. Doesn’t every girl want a pair of sparkly shoes? Ms. Faye’s story took me back to the Rose Chalet, a series of books I had read a while ago. Loved the original stories and hers just blended right in. No worries, it is a standalone and the Rose Chalet is more of a background character. I just enjoyed reading about that character again.
The Wedding Do-Over is about Olivia Van Holsen and Michael Camden. Olivia is on the west coast, starting over, after a broken engagement, running her own wedding planning business. She has the opportunity to plan a very high profile/hush-hush wedding (of the century type of event) in a short amount of time and a lot is riding on the event’s success – not only for her business but for the other businesses involved in the event as well. (Here’s where the character, the Rose Chalet, comes into play.) Turns out the best man at the wedding is Michael…who also happens to be the person she was engaged to before her move across the country.
I liked the story, and both of these individuals. It is sweet, it is sad, it is funny, and it has some ‘oooh, I wanna slap you upside the head!’ moments. I always enjoy Ms. Faye’s books and this story does not disappoint.
After a near fatal accident, Michael begins to reevaluate his workaholic lifestyle and realizes he doesn't like the direction his life is headed. Wanting to make amends with the two people he's hurt most, his half brother and ex-fiancé, he sets out to ask forgiveness and maybe a second chance.
Olivia has spent the past couple years after her breakup making other peoples wedding dreams come true. She's finally landed a huge celebrity wedding and will do anything to succeed. She does not expect the best man to be her ex-fiancé. Wanting to keep things professional she can't help but be drawn back to Michael and what they once had.
This is a sweet second chance at love story, I like that they both realized that maybe the timing wasn't right in the past, but now that they've both lived life without each other and grown as individuals they are now in a better place this time around. I thought they had a sweet romance and good connection. This was a light read and a fun escape for a bit.
Content: Clean romance with one fade to black/closed door love scene. No language or violence.
I have become a big fan of Jennifer Faye's books. I love her writing style, the characters she creates and the way she makes you feel like you are right there with them.
Olivia finally is making a go of her bridal planning business. After a terrible breakup a week before her wedding, she left for the west coast to start over. She has done well but is a workaholic. She has no time for romance. Besides she compares everyone to Michael...the one she lost.
In the years gone by Michael has learned some very important lessons. He is no longer the workaholic that ended his relationship with Olivia. After a horrific accident in which he is lucky to be alive he has his priorities straight now. First he wants to make things right with Olivia. He is still in love with her but knows she deserves better than he is now.
This is a great love story that will keep those pages turning. Very deserving of all five stars. Don't wait...go get this now and read it!
I absolutely loved this book. On the surface it’s the story of Olivia, a party and wedding planner living in San Francisco, and Michael, a successful businessman from New York that has suffered a devastating accident. Once upon a time these two were very much in love and were planning a wedding when Michael got cold feet . Determined to make amends , Michael goes to San Francisco to see Olivia. The ups and downs of their relationship, a star’s wedding and growing up as individuals is what makes this book so enchanting. It reminds us that mistakes in your youth and as young adults can be mended. That what has happened to us, affects us in many ways, but if we choose, it’s how we deal with those experiences that makes us a better person. So come along for the ride, you won’t regret it.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Trust me, it is.
Olivia is planning a wedding for a Hollywood star but must keep everything secret so the public doesn't find out and turn it into a media circus. Olivia faced pain in her past when she was supposed to marry Michael years ago and then he suddenly called off the wedding. Michael shows up at the hotel where Olivia is planning the wedding and she is shocked to see him and even more surprised to find out he is the future groom's best man. After spending time with Michael and working on their friendship, Olivia wonders what really happened back then and if he's not the only one to blame for their breakup. This is a fast paced, feel good book and I couldn't put it down. Jennifer Faye is a phenomenal author and I highly recommend The Wedding Do-Over! I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
A fun sweet read that has a full story packed into the pages of a novella. These are great characters and the story is wonderful.
After her own engagement was called off days before the wedding, Olivia threw her body and soul into her business. Now she's planning the wedding of the season and her worst nightmare has come true. Her ex is the best man and he appears dead set on getting her back. Risking her heart again might cost her the career she has worked so hard for so now she has to decide what she truly wants from life.
An adorable story full of doubt, indecision, caring and love that never dies. The characters have unique qualities and their interactions are fantastic. I enjoyed this story of second chance love very much and highly recommend reading it.
The title says it all; but who is getting the wedding re-do? Once again Jennifer Faye brings to the pages a wonderful story of love; but getting to a happy ending is lots of twists and turns. This was a wonderful short story that kept me guessing till the end.
Of all of the books I have read by Ms. Faye this has to be my favorite and I could not put it down Michael had been in a horrible accident and was lucky to be alive, only at this particular moment he did not feel that way. Jerry, his therapist had explained to him what a lucky person he was and that life had given him a second chance. The problem was the most important people in Michael's life were not around. His dad had passed away, he had not spoken to his brother and he had broken up with the Olivia the girl of his dreams. With ours of free time to think he realized when he left the hospital he had to do some important changes. First apologize to his brother and then to try and find Olivia. Olivia and Michael had planned on getting married and were all set but they both realized they seemed to want different things and so they cancelled the wedding. Now that Michael had a chance to think he realized that he still loved her and wanted to at least apologize to her but that would mean going to the West Coast to find her.
Olivia had moved away from DC and her parents against there wishes to start a new life/career. She always wanted to be a wedding planner and felt she was very good at it. Now she had the opportunity of a lifetime planning a wedding for Tula Fox, Hollywood's latest sweetheart and Hugh Steadman, child actor turned director who also happened to be Michael's brother.
Michael decided some things had to be said in person and so he booked a flight to San Francisco and was determined to make things right with his brother and also to apologize to Olivia. What Olivia did not know was that it was Michael who suggested Olivia as the wedding planner for his brother and his ex-wife's up and coming marriage. Can people be lucky enough to have a second chance at love? This book covers the future the past and the present of both of these couples. If you are like me you will not be able to put it down. I simply LOVED IT.
Jennifer Faye’s The Wedding Do-Over is a second chance romance featuring a couple who needed to spread their wings and be their own people before making a lifetime commitment to someone else.
Olivia Van Holsen and Michael Camden were college sweethearts and scheduled to marry before Michael called off the wedding only days before. Olivia fled from DC to San Francisco and struggled to start her own event planning business. Michael continued his workaholic life in New York until a near fatal car crash made him reassess his life.
Part of Michael’s new life plan is to reconnect with his California based half-brother and make amends with Olivia. To Michael’s surprise, his half-brother is getting married and wants him to be his bestman. Knowing what Olivia does for a living, Michael convinces the couple to use her to plan the wedding. It’s also his chance to spend time with Olivia, reconnecting as friends.
The Wedding Do-Over isn’t exactly an easy flowing romance. There are some bumps in the road for Michael and Olivia, a character who isn’t exactly well-liked, and a surprise or two. However, this is a good book to kick back and relax with.

Loved this book. Olivia started her own bridal business and it was thriving, and currently had a big time client which would do so much for it. If she couldn't have her happily ever after she would do it for someone else. The only thing she did not expect to see was Michael Camden her ex-fiancé. It couldn't be happening. She moved on, or so she thought.. What she found out will shock you.
Michael can't believe how well Olivia has done for herself. Once he sees her something in him snaps. Was he wrong in how he handled things with there relationship? When she found out why he was here she may not be too happy. He wouldn't give up.
What a great and moving book. See what happens with Olivia and Michael...
Couldn't be a finer second chance at a HEA as Wedding Do-Over. Trying to start her life over as a wedding planner after being jilted by her fiancé a few days before her own wedding, Olivia moves across the country. She is thrown for a loop when the best man in the celebrity wedding she is planning is none other than, Michael, her former fiancé. This wedding should put her business on the map, but will she be distracted or stay professional? Throughout the story Jennifer has brought humor and tears as Olivia and Michael try to achieve a level of forgiveness so that they can move on with their lives.
The Wedding Do-Over is just as good as the fabulous shoes on the cover. Absolutely love both! Michael and Olivia were engaged to be married; however, just days before the wedding Michael calls it off. With a broken heart Olivia moves cross country to San Francisco and now plans weddings for other brides. Michael's workaholic lifestyle ends when he is involved in a horrible accident and his priorities change. Reconnecting with his step brother, the groom, will bring Michael, the best man, in contact with Olivia as she plans the celebrity wedding of the year at Rose Chalet. Ms. Faye is a favorite author of mine, because her characters are real, honest and will grab your heart!
Cute Fun Read! I enjoyed The Wedding Do-Over. It was a quick fun read with likeable characters. Olivia’s in the throes of planning the wedding for a difficult Hollywood starlet. When Michael walks back into her hectic life looking to make amends, Olivia is thrown off her game. The two have a history that is hard to ignore and a chemistry that won’t go away. Whether they end up back together is the big question!
This is a book by Jennifer, that has a beautiful cover and a beautiful story to go with the cover. I loved this book as it was about a wedding planner and then the wedding planner gets a surprise for herself. This was one that I didn't put down ,I read it straight thru and it was so good. This is a grand slam for Jennifer Faye!
I've read other books in the Four Weddings and a Fiasco series, but this was the first I've read from this author. I wanted to like this book, I thought the premise sounded good, but I was left disappointed in the end. Not a keeper for me.
A quick read about a second chance at love that they were courageous enough to grab. It was a fun story! But I have to say, it must take GREAT patience to be a wedding planner when you have someone like Tula as the bride.
