Sweet Story

Short, sweet, and to the point. A quick little read with likable characters falling in love. Plus a fun twist at the end.

This is a very short story, but very sweet. Paige is upset. Her beloved grandfather is suffering from dementia and is now in a nursing home. Her uncle is having to sell all her grandfather's things in order to pay the bills. All she wants is the grandfather clock her grandfather had promised her, and she's willing to buy it. But when two men start bidding on it and the price goes too high, she loses her chance. The winner, though, has an interesting proposition for her. The price may just be more than she thinks...

It was a very sweet story - no deep thought, just short and sweet - with a pretty awesome kiss.

Read via Kindle. 4 stars. Read in January 2023.

This was a little novella but a fun story. This is my second read by this author. I will be reading more.

I love the grandparent connection since I grew up around grandparents and great-grandparents. My grandmas were my SHEroes. This was romantic in a fun way and so innocent and heart-warming.

MY BOOK RATINGS:

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The book was PHENOMENAL! It caused me to be impacted, challenged, and made me think. The book resonated with me and I didn’t want to leave the characters. It blew me out of the water so much that I told everyone and their 🦮 to read it!
🌟🌟🌟🌟I loved the book! Excellent work! I will read more of their books, without a doubt, and recommend the author to others.
🌟🌟🌟 I liked the book but I wasn’t as immersed as much as I wanted to be. I will likely try other books by this author to see if different books resonate with me more. Sometimes it’s simply personal taste, subject matter, or other circumstances.
🌟 🌟 I struggled to read the book and I didn’t enjoy one (or more) of the following: the storyline, the quality or style of writing, or the characters didn’t resonate with me. I likely wouldn’t ever read the author again.
🌟 I didn’t care for it at all but managed to skim through it, or finish, but barely. Definitely not for me.

Piper Kindle's grandfather has had to be moved to a senior living facility which means that his farm and all its contents have to be sold to pay for his care there. When the day comes for the auction of the contents, Piper has only one wish: to have enough money to save the family's large Grandfather Clock. But a young man, Finn Nielson, appears and pushes the bid so high that Piper has no chance. But is Finn hiding something that will change Piper's life in many different ways?

Very short, fast moving romance, but a good read.

Very short story (about 30 minutes or less) but sweet and adorable; I'd love to read a full-length version of this one!

Too short

This story was to short, it felt incomplete. It doesn’t compare to some of Ms Raney’s other books. I will continue reading Ms Raney’s books, I like the way she writes.

Sweet Read

I enjoyed this novella, but I would have loved for it to have been a full novel. So many things could have happened. Since it was so short, it felt rushed, but I liked it!

It initially hurt a little, as it should have, and though it wasn't a surprising story for me, it was perfect for a quick, heartwarming kind of read.
