Bryan Jenkins is a quiet, handsome, yet otherwise ordinary man—he never expects anything unexpected.
Following a traumatic childhood as an adopted child, he has carefully pared down his life to the basics, and it is a routine and mundane existence that makes Bryan feel most at ease.
Until strange happenings begin to take place.
A bizarre episode of unconsciousness suddenly upsets Bryan's ordered life. Even more troubling is the tear in his bedroom curtain and the footprints in the flowerbed underneath his window. And amidst these terrifying occurrences, why has he suddenly started dreaming about a beautiful human-like being who feels closer and more familiar to Bryan than anyone he has ever known?
With the sensual dreams continuing to escalate, and accompanied by strange physical symptoms, Bryan begins to really worry. Is he going mad? Or is the explanation at once straightforward and impossible?
This is a stand alone story with a HEA and no cliffhangers.

I don't even know where to begin with how disappointed I am!!
I was like okay just wait a minute there's still a lot of pages for this to get better and then at long last we get to read a bit more about the alien and then .......... the end????? WTF!!!!! bonus short story's????? I then thought okay maybe it goes on in the next book, but also no luck... This was a total waist of time!
Bryan thought he was going crazy, the truth was out of this world
For me, the fun of this story was Bryan trying to logic through his situation, and self-diagnose rather than go to a doctor. About the only thing missing on that front was his hitting the internet with his list of clues and symptoms, but he was a smart guy.
It took quite a while for reality to seem to catch up with what was going on for Bryan, and I did find that a little disappointing, but these quick reads try to fit a lot of story into a few pages, so, to a degree, things like that have to be expected.
The title story filled the first 36% of the page count, with bonus materials (as mentioned in the blurb) filling out the rest. Given it was bonus materials in a different Odin Nightshade story that got me curious about Zenith I can comment, and acknowledge the blurb let you know that he sets out to tempt you to try more of his writing.
This is the first book in a series, so I'm off to read the next installment, though I'm not sure how much carry over I expect.
I really liked this short story. There was some jumping around that made it a bit confusing at times and the story was too short. I would have liked more of this world but overall it was a sweet little scifi.
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.**
Sadly, this book was unbearably short. However, it was a great start or.. premise to a new series. The first few pages illustrating Bryan's confusion and fear was what captivated me from the start. Slowly growing into his fear was his seemingly temporary amnesia and black outs were also what kept me glued to this book. I kept reading in that anticipation of what would happen next. What's coming. Who or what sort of being is this? Or phenomenon is it that has him in the dark but at the same time, brings him peace in his unconsciousness? It was a bit quick in revealing some of the more important facts about Bryan and his celestial visitor but it was all in all enjoyable and I look forward to seeing where this new little series leads. :)
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This us another collection of short story stories. While I had not read the first one the other three I had in previous book bundles. The plots for these books are simple and moderately paced. The characters are sweet and angst driven.
