This, like Jessica Bemis Ward’s, Food to Die For, is a great read for hostessing tips, local history, a bit of wit, and some pretty darn good recipes! Both were written in an effort to raise funds for Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia. Jessica and her colleagues from The Southern Memorial Association are a lovely, talented group who have certainly enhanced the formerly crumbling parts of Lynchburg which would have been lost to history had they not been convicted of the need to invest themselves heart and soul into the projects.
