Heidi considers herself a strong, independent professional - definitely not the type to fall for a macho, dominant alpha male like her neighbor in 6F. Yet when she overhears his kinky, sensual escapades one evening, she finds herself as intrigued as she is horrified. Surely that's not spanking she's hearing? And are those whimpers from the woman in his bed caused by pleasure or pain? She tells herself she is not attracted to... whatever they are doing. But when she has an unfortunate run-in with Mr. 6F himself, the connection is electric. To her great consternation, she finds herself imagining what it would be like to be under his authority, or bound to his bed.

Dominic thinks he's tasted all the pleasures the lifestyle has to offer without the messy complications of an emotional connection or commitment... until he meets Heidi. The night she finally gets up the nerve to ask him to put her over his knee, he's more than happy to oblige. This sassy, adorable woman draws out of him a desire to protect and lead, awakened with growing fervor as he introduces her to the erotic, intoxicating world of Dominance and submission.

But when Heidi and Dom are thrown together in an unlikely series of events that tie them together professionally, they must separate business from pleasure. Or will they?

3 stars minus 1 star for my fitness myth rant
I enjoyed the background story on this one as well as the characters. Heidi has just moved to Boston along with her business and her PA. She has been using her business as an excuse to avoid getting out there and meeting new people. However, she can’t miss her neighbor and his evening shenanigans. They wake her up at night and make her long for things she never dreamed growing up with her super feminist mother, who is quite the character by the way.

Dom has become increasingly irritated with all the subs that he’s meeting at the club and online. When he encounters his neighbor at the gym (UGH-see my rant below), he sees a possibility of finding someone outside his lifestyle that might still accept his way of life. The problem comes when their work lives collide and Heidi’s sister accepts an invitation from a less reputable individual.

That said, while I enjoyed the career storyline and the characters, I think that the 24/7 D/s / baby girl storyline is just not for me. The obey me during the day in everything outside the bedroom too, just isn’t my thing. Not the writers fault so I didn’t deduct for this. I did like the story, I just didn’t “really” like it so that would put it at 3 stars.

So now I have to go on a rant that really gets to me. This is not the stoneage when it comes to fitness and women. Women do not grow big muscles by lifting heavy weight. We are quite capable of lifting heavy and doing smaller reps. Women do not in general need to lift smaller weights for more reps. Stop perpetuating myths!!! I’m deducting a star just for this thinking being put in writing in a fictional book that people might actually read and believe. That said, it is important to lift heavy with proper form ,which our heroine was not doing and those guys should have shown her proper form instead of standing around gawking like morons while she seriously injured herself.

I totally enjoyed the plot of this book and thought it was well done. I did not, however, like Heidi's transformation from totally independent woman to mindless submissive who can't pick out her own clothes. She literally transformed overnight and even though she had issues with some things she never voiced her opinion or communicated in order to please Dom. Utterly pathetic and it turned me off.

This is an exceptionally enticing BDSM romance; well-written and perfectly paced. I had the pleasure of reading an advanced review copy on holiday, and it made the hottest beach read!
The characters are well rounded and believable, and I found the blossoming attraction between Heidi and Dom truly consuming. As she was drawn into Dom's world of love and discipline, I enjoyed reading Heidi's perspective, and witnessing her burgeoning submissive desires. It was also great to read Dom's point of view and understand his own arousal as he gains Heidi's consent to dominate her.
Let me talk now about the sex - I loved the sex! ;-) The spanking scenes in particular are a joyous sympthony of the sensual and the submissive. They absolutely encapsulate the age old confusion between the mortifying embarrassment of the punishment, and how hot it makes the submissive feel.
If you love spanking stories and BDSM erotic romance, then I would definitely recommend this book.

I really LIKED the first 25-50 percent of the book but then it kind of became a paint by numbers thing. It felt very inauthentic and trivialized a BDSM relationship. I also was super unhappy with how nasty Dom was to every other sub that came before, as if their kinks were somehow wrong. I DID NOT LIKE THAT PICTURE.

Sweet and sexy with a few laughs thrown in.
This was definitely one of the "softer" BDSM stories I have read, but it was totally enjoyable.

4 1/2 stars!

While I have read several stories by Jane Henry, somehow I had missed her Boston Doms series. I am just happy to finally start this and I am looking forward to the additional stories in the series.

So if you like to read about a strong protective male and a strong but curious female explore the world of D/s aspects IN and OUT of the bedroom, then I highly recommend this story. The world universe is good, with decent character descriptions and a solid plot that lays the groundwork to support a series.

In this story, Dominic, aka Dom, is next door neighbors with Heidi, who just recently moved to Boston to expand her consulting business. She has been working long hours and just needs to rest, but unfortunately her next door neighbor is entertaining again … rather loudly, or at least ‘Tammy’ is pretty loud. He just sounds disconnected, like he is just going through the motions.

Dom is on vacation and has been trying to relax. He brought home a girl from the club, but it will be just a one night thing. That seems to be what it has been for him for a while. He hasn’t felt like taking a chance and opening himself up to any of the females he has met. Maybe someday that would change, but not with this one. Too late, Dom realizes that Tammy didn’t close the windows and lock them as he had directed her to. If she was his sub, he would totally deal with her, but for now he would just hope that none of his neighbors paid close attention to last night. He didn’t want any trouble with his job at a private school due to his lifestyle choices.

Heidi has read books featuring dominants and submissive, but she had never ‘heard’ someone scene irl until last night. Apparently her new neighbor liked to spank and tell Tammy what to do, even when to go to sleep. If only Heidi could go to sleep it would be great … she just kept thinking about what she had heard. The books made D/s seem interesting, but she had never met anyone that she wanted to explore with, maybe that would change, maybe it wouldn’t.

The next morning Heidi spills her coffee when Princess, the dog she semi-inherited from a former neighbor, throws a fit. Regardless she needs to take her for a walk so she can do her morning business. Unexpectedly though, Princess takes off and appears to be enamored with their next door neighbor, who is dressed nicely with a beautiful female standing by him. Must be Tammy … why did Heidi find herself halfway naked in coffee stained shorts and a tank? Oh yeah, Princess … After a few words, Princess is minding the neighbor like a good sub and Heidi messes up and calls Tammy by her name … swallow her whole already …

There are a few grammatical errors, but nothing too egregious. Mainly incorrect punctuation and missing words. I like to include these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

⛔️ There are also a few scenes that may be a trigger, or offensive for sensitive readers such as adult language, steamy intimate scenes exploring dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure and punishment with various implements, sensory deprivation, etc. and violence such as kidnapping, abduction, stalking, coercion, assault, rape, attempted rape, etc.

Mr PW💋 Gets His Groove On💋

Dom is a Dom🐺🍌🌋✋🔥, He's in a BDSM✋✋ club, but he is getting tired of the scene. Most of the women💃 are just players🃏, and he hasn't found any that are suitable for more than one 🌙night. He's a tall, strong man💪, with a protective personality. He works out with his twin, Mateo🐺🍌🌋✋🔥 at a gym regularly.
He has a new neighbor, a young woman, Heidi💋, who has just relocated her small financial consulting company to Boston. One warm 🌙night not long after she moved in, she hears strange sounds coming from a nearby apartment, because the windows are open. It sounds like rhythmic slapping✋✋✋ and moaning! Egad! Some woman is over there being assaulted! Gradually she realizes it's some woman being spanked✋✋! And her neighbor has had three💃💃💃 different women over there this week! Bad🔥 Naaasssty man!
She gets her chance to speak to her spankster✋✋ neighbor the next morning when her little rescue 🐕dog, Princess, pulls away from her and runs to him outside. Her naughty✋ neighbor's name is Dom🐺🍌🌋💪✋ and she is fascinated to see the tall, handsome🐺, and powerful💪 man behind the late night carryings on!
Actually, Dom🐺🍌🌋🔥✋ is fascinated by her, too. Heidi 💋💃seems to be a strong willed woman, but at the same time she has submissive elements to her personality and demeanor, that He is quick to pick up on.
He gets his chance when he sees her at his gym and she gets hurt trying to lift too much. He uses her pain to get her to let him help her home🏡, and they get more acquainted. His bossy protective side comes out!

I thought The Big Bad Dom🐺🍌🌋✋🔥 let's himself get too wrapped up in Heidi. It's easy to see, that although Dom🐺🍌🌋✋ is the much 💪stronger of the two and the protector, Heidi💋💃 has him absolutely wrapped around her finger!

YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍌, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎

I could see the plot of this book📕 coming from a mile away, but it was still a fun read! Well written and edited, it went fast.
This is an honest review because I paid for this! I would read and review the other books📚 in this series, but they cost💰 too much.😟

In book one in the Boston Doms series, financial/audit consultant Heidi Morrow has just moved into a new apartment. Though she tries to ignore it, she often hears her next-door neighbor having really hot BDSM sex with various women.
Dominic Angelico is the headmaster for a prestigious school, and a man in his position cannot blatantly parade his unusual lifestyle to the public. No longer satisfied with casual D/s relationships, he realizes his new neighbor is just what he needs but everything he’s been trying to avoid.
Dom and Heidi are fun characters. He’s strict and patient as a good dom should be. She’s feisty enough to keep him on his toes, but she also needs to let go and let someone else care for her. The H/h fit really well together. There was some miscommunication between them and surprises neither expected, which added to the drama, but I liked how they talked about it and settled things before something small became overblown. That was really nice and refreshing.
Matteo, Dom’s twin brother, is definitely hot and intriguing, and I’m anxious to learn more about his military past and dom lifestyle. Hillary, Heidi’s sister, found herself in some bad trouble. I would’ve liked to learn more about that in this book, but it’ll play a big role in the next one.
There were a few typos, but I enjoyed the authors’ writing style and would love to read more of their work.

About TRUST, about LUST and about LOVE, “My Dom” a BDSM by Jane Henry and Daisy Archer is a MUST read!
This was one of those books. One that moved me so far away from myself that I had to walk away from it for a day or two before I could write my review. Dom and Heidi are the people you work with, live by and make friends with. They love life, their respective jobs, and the people around them. You know them from the very first page – they are that realistic and human. Their circumstances allow the reader to get to know and admire them; the way they think, what they feel, the choices they make, and how they actively care for others. The earmark of well-developed characters, no doubt. “My Dom” has an active plot which draws the reader into the story. However, this page-turner was refreshing because it showed . . . oh yeah, no spoilers. Guess all I can add is the BDSM and that the sex scenes were hot, and yeah, this is a book on my re-read shelf. This reader stayed up way beyond time for lights out because I had to find out what happened, and then what happened next. Although I was given an ARC copy of “My Dom” to prepare this honest, voluntary review, I plan to purchase this book and strongly suggest you purchase it, too. Then you’ll have to decide what shelf it belongs on. Happy pages! 😉

I've read a few other books in this series recently, so I decided I should make sure that I go back and reread the pace it got started, just so I could remember where the whole series began.

Heidi has just moved to Boston to grow her consulting business. A few times in the last couple of weeks she's been in Boston, she's heard noises coming from her neighbor's apartment. Sex noises, screams, paddling, all the fun stuff. She tries really hard not to listen to them. She swears that the only reason she's listening is that she wants to make sure that women are OK. She isn't shutting her window because it's too stuffy if the window's shut. Really. That's the reason. It's not because it sounds really hot. Nope.

Dom the Dominant is always trying to find someone who is in it for the kink. He's not looking for a full-time relationship, let alone a full-time sub. He's more of a hit it and quit it kind of guy. Then he meets Heidi, and there's just something about her.

I liked this story. The caring that Dom has for Heidi is really obvious. He's totally focused on her and what he can do to take care of her and keep her safe. I thought that this was a great intro into the rest of the series, and a good way for us to get into that world.

Heidi Morrow este consultantul financiar si s-a mutat de curand in oras unde isi are propria ei firma.

Completely intoxicate me, I am sitting at work with earbuds in, and this book has my attention! Jane Henry and Maisy Archer have a winning series started with the Boston Doms! Heidi hears her neighbor spanking his date through the window and is totally intrigued by what she hears. Few a chance encounter with her dog and an injury at the local gym, Dom(what an appropriate name) and Heidi become friends, and slowly become involved. This book had me captivated, had me taking the journey into bdsm right along with Heidi and falling in love with Dom. I also love meeting the supporting cast of characters(Matteo, Slay, Hillary and of course, Heidi's over the top mom). The integration of the lifestyle and the social issues and tragedy which are encountered by Hillary make this story suspenseful and sexy all at the same time.

Nova Quinn does an excellent job narrating this book from Heidi's POV. I think she has a good range for both male and female voices and I found her performance to be wonderful.

My Dom – Jane Henry—His name is Dom. I just feel like its cheating somehow when you make a double entendre like that built into your character’s name. lol! Anyway! Heidi and her assistant Paul are trying to figure out how to untangle an embezzlement scheme at a local prep school as independent consultants without causing a scandal. In the process of getting used to her new neighborhood, her spoiled dog falls in love with her neighbor. And as it always happens in this sort of thing, he turns out to be the principal of the school she is investigating. Paul is doing most of the investigating on the case, so Heidi can feel less torn about falling for Dom. Lucky for her, Dom has connections when her sister needs saving from a douche canoe who effectively kidnaps her. She returns the favor when she and Paul set up the real criminal at the school! Happy Reading!

Dom & Heidi

A relocation to another city so she can find more of a rounded lifestyle introduces Heidi to her neighbor who has her intrigued with his bed play when she overhears his interactions with one-night stand d/s play. Their relationship quickly grows until she finds out that he is part of a company she is consulting for with a possible scandal laden atmosphere.

She quickly turns to her associate and lets him take the reigns on the situation with the business while continuing to explore d/s with Dom. We are introduced to his and her family and he uses his contacts to rescue her sister Hillary from a terrible situation involving a shady dom and a club in her city. Interesting plot, not too much over the top d/s stuff, not super steamy but still a good read.

Now this book had us at the edge of our seats the whole entire time. They way that the characters jumped out of the pages, it was amazing. It was like...did that really happen, wow never expected that one and most of all it gave us a sense of security. The world sees this kind of things as bad but I see it as an opportunity. It makes us feel that there are guys out there who cherish us and wants to to be happy. This book gives it to us and man you can't help but fall hard for all the guys. True gentlemen. I absolutely give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy

This started off as a 2 star for me but it got better. You'd think a seasoned Dom would know better in situations but he really started out as an a**hole. I hate when doms start dom-ing before someone is their sub. They are expecting trust and obedience before they have earned those gifts.

The actually story line helped this story for me, them being thrown together b/c of work and the issue with her sister.

the BDSM part got better as they were together longer. Though I really don't understand spankings and how they 'adjust' attitudes and 'soothes' the sub.

I really like Paul but I have so many questions about him that where not really answered

I am really glad I stumbled across these two authors as this first book in the series is well written and a great story and if this is how they write all their work, the Boston Doms series certainly promises to be one to read!

Book one introduces Dom and Heidi, two neighbours who seem to have very different preferences but in actual fact find they have a common bond in each other. Dom is a very experienced 'Dom' but never commits past a session or two but when Heidi accidentally overhears a session with Dom's current submissive, this perks Heidi's interest in to considering just how this world may be of interest to her.

I love the fact this story isn't simply fast BDSM but follows the development of their relationship over time and how their trust is built in one another as any D/s relationship is - a submissive learning to trust her Dom and a Dom learning what his submissive needs and wants. It shows how Heidi, a strong, powerful and independent woman struggles with the embarrassment and wariness of liking the 'punishment' and dominance that Dom provides her, while allowing her to place her trust in him and truly be submissive. It highlights just how this struggle can be for many submissives and doesn't gloss over this aspect as many BDSM novels do.

But, this isn't simply a spanking book....there's an actual story behind the budding D/s relationship and that throws Heidi and Dom in an awkward and potentially relationship ending professional situation. There's also a serious issue that crops up for Heidi's younger sister Hillary which Matteo, Dom's older brother assist with. These two parts to the romance story itself adds to the development of the characters and I hope is followed through in the other books.

Jane and Maisy have begun to create a great network in this book with many characters the readers are left wanting to know more about or see develop. I can't wait to read the next book and see how Hillary's experiences at Black Box have an impact on her life and feelings of submission, and also how Matteo fits in as a very straight forward and powerful Dom himself.

This is certainly a series to try if you are into BSDM style romances. or simply just a good development of a lovely, trust built relationship. I highly recommend you add this to your TBR pile!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reading Copy of this book.

This was a great fun and sexy story. Dom is well, a Dom and not just in the bedroom. His one and done partners are just not doing it for him anymore. He needs something new, something more. He's thrown on his ass when he meets his sexy new neighbor Heidi. She is feisty but with a huge submissive streak she didn't even know she had until she meets him. This kind of thing is new to both of them but with a few hiccups they are able to make a life together.

The transitions are not quite as smooth as I like them but it is not so bad that it takes away from the story.

Take Charge Love ❤️

Heidi was new in town and in her apartment her body was awakened to a new intensity that she’d never experienced. Overhearing a submissive being dismissed by her neighbor! What are the chances that her company was investigating the school in which her neighbor was the Headmaster. They both find themselves in the Dom(his actual name) and submissive relationship which will prove to be a catalyst when Heidi’s sister is captured by a sadistic Master from out of town.

Amazing!

This is the second book of Jane Henry’s that I’ve read. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first one (Keenan, from the Dangerous Doms series) so I was hesitant to start this one, but boy am I glad that I did! I ADORE Dom! He was such an alpha male without being an as*hole. I loved how he treated Heidi with so much care and consideration. I also loved how they built up to their relationship. It wasn’t an overnight romance. There was a lot of back and forth flirting. You could really feel the chemistry between them. I can’t wait for Hillary and Matteo’s book!

I’m calling it. DNF at 72%. So far the MCs have had vanilla sex a couple of times and gotten together a few times to define the parameters of their relationship. Finally they are ready to scene. Heidi is wrapping up at work while Dom (yes, a Dom named Dom) is at home getting ready for her arrival. He’s laid out a couple of implements he wants to use on her. Things are heating up. This is going to be good. Heidi arrives. He delivers a few hard spanks to her ass with a hairbrush. End of chapter. Cut to the next day. WTF?! I’m done.

Sweet and Sexy

The dynamic between Dom and Heidi was adorable, sweet, caring, nurturing, and hot.
The book opens with Dom and another woman during a sex scene, but it's over quickly. So for those who hate reading about the H/h intimate with someone else, it doesn't last long! And the situation is used to show Dom's unhappiness with where he's at -- until he meets a sassy and sweet Heidi. ;)

Independent consultant moves to Boston to start her own firm. Her new next door neighbor has women sneaking out in the morning and it's never the same one twice. One night the windows are open and Heidi hears more than she bargained for. Qhile she has read some BDSM erotice, she is not a part of that lifestyle...yet.

Meet the dominant named Dom and the always busy Heidi in the first book of what looks to be a quite promising series. I'm looking forward to the rest of the books!

This book grabs your attention from the very beginning and holds it until the end. I really liked Heidi's friend Paul, who helped her understand some aspects of submission. Dom and Heidi had to work through some trust issues as their relationship developed.

Well written characters and storyline. As the book moves forward, you encounter a few twists and turns that lead you to a surprising situation closer to the end.

I'm looking forward to reading Matteo's story.

A awesome story. I loved this one and I am looking forward to reading Matt's story. This is the first book by these two authors I have read. I feel this one is one to read. Please remember that this is a BDSM story when buying it. This is one I would say is worth your time and effort. Give it a chance. To me this was an enjoyable read. I do encourage you to get this one. There's a great story line here. Don't miss this one.

The introduction of an independent businesswoman into BDSM is used to preach that being submissive is not the same as being weak. With an over the top feminist mother, Heidi does take some time to get to this point. Trust is shown to be important in a BDSM relation when her assistant's investigation point to Dominic as a possible culprit in an embezzlement scenario. The plot and the mystery are not particularly important as all just needs to lead to the HEA.

Wow! So Hot it Sizzles!

I really enjoyed this story!

It brings out a part of the Dom/Sub relationship that I haven't seen in the others, how to uncover the true desires in the heart of the uninitiated and the reason behind the rules! This is a beautiful story of awakening love!

It is well-written and has been edited very well, I was very impressed with the quality of this book.

Not as good as NYC Doms

After reading NYC doms by the same writer I am a little disappointed in this story. I’m not sure If this was one of the first books she wrote or not but the writing was much better in the other series . Heidi and Dom were an okay couple . It’s a quick and easy read but if you want your story to have more substance then read the NYC doms and leave this one.
