This..volume..was..so......SAD

this manga plays with my emotions, it tricks you with the plots. Actually, you don't know who to hate if you think you despise one of the characters they just prove you wrong! I don't usually like fight scenes but with this manga, it is everything! I look carefully at every page so then I don't miss any details.

3.5 stars. There are some light heartened/comical moments and there also are foreshadowing of a new development in the plot lines. New character is introduced too. Not bad, but not very exciting neither.

PS: but please don't you ever get me started with all the giggling and fangirl's exclaiming I have done for all these Bungō Stray Dogs fanfics (Edagawa Rampo/Edgar Allan Poe is a thing, among plenty of other Ships mind you. XD)

A 5-stars⭐ for sure.

Extra information: This volume includes the Guild Aftermath Arc which is the OVA episode and early season 3 of the anime (not the Dazai, Chuuya, Fifteen Years Old story).

I'll rant my thoughts in points:

- Again, Harukawa sensei brought us such amazing illustration and Asagiri sensei delivered such an amazing story. I sound lame as I typed this hahahaha but the story really makes me feel a lot of things. We'll go from comedy to depressing stuff, to trauma and suddenly it becomes heartwarming and not long after that we have suspense moment. It's so nerve-wracking but also brings joy to me. (I know that doesn't make sense but yeah, that's what I felt)

- In this particular volume, we'll get to know more about Atsushi's past when he was in the orphanage. ARGHHH I'M SO MAD AND ANNOYED WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM IN THE PAST. But, nope, I won't give any spoilers hahhaha just read it and you'll get to know what I meant... It's just so heartbreaking to know a kid, an orphan like him is treated that way.. (Petition to form an Atsushi Protection Club!)

- Also, in this volume, Kunikida shows again about his ideals. I think he's impressive for having all those ideals. Some might find it annoying (yes, I think that might be Dazai hahahah), but Kunikida has a really pure heart where he wants to do his best, accomplish a lot and protect everyone. I get goosebumps every time he sounds so determine to follow his ideals. How I wish I can be as hardworking as him.... (Vote for Kunikida!)

- As this is The Guild Aftermath Arc, we'll see the Rat, F. Dostoyevsky (as you can read in the synopsis). We'll get a hint of his ability and also see how... ooppss no spoilers hahhahaha but yeah, he's finally here, which means new arc is coming soon!

- Lastly, as always the words in bsd are beautiful. I MEAN, ✨ BEAUTIFUL ✨. It broke your heart, but then mend it again for a thousand time.

Some of the quotes in this volume (skip if you think they might be spoilers!!!) :

"You don't have to forgive him. No matter what beliefs you hold. What he did to you is unforgivable. It was the worst kind of brutality. But there's also something you should know........ And after that because you know what pain is, you fought back against violence and evil and saved a lot of vulnerable people. You were in hell, and that hell raised you up right."

"One who cannot save anyone has no right to live."

"Even if I resist it till I vomit blood, people will die. Cruel, merciless, without even a fragment of ideals to be found, that is the world that this is. But.. though my destination is only a desert of pain and thirst, I shall pursue my ideals!"

This volume was all over the place. Since this volume is following immediately after a big battle it makes sense it had a little filler stuff but it jumped around so much it didn’t feel very cohesive. Then it wraps up by introducing a new baddie to the mix.

I also wasn’t a fan of the abusive logic in the beginning.

Not my favorite volume but still love the series as a whole.

Buen volumen. No fue tan interesante y lleno de acción como los anteriores, pero fue agradable y divertido de leer.

De cierto modo, no sucedió nada demasiado interesante porque recién ha sucedido la derrota de The Guild y todos los personajes están regresando a sus actividades cotidianas, tanto la Mafia como la Agencia. Sin embargo, lo que si me parece muy interesante son las apariencias de Dostoyevski. Creo que será un villano increíble para los siguientes volúmenes.

So I read this one side by side with the anime and they really moved things around and took things out. They give atsushi a lot of parts that belong to other characters. I wonder if the anime does that to include atsushi more since he is technically the mc. I definitely have to pick up the light novels soon tho cause I think that's where all of Dazai's port mafia backstory comes from cause none of it has popped in the manga yet.

i love found family port mafia executives, with mori being the weird dad, kōyō being the responsible and weirdly killing intent older sister, and chuuya being the nice but mentally exhausted and angry younger brother.

Kunikida is autistic, Dazai is a demonic bitch, Atsushi has daddy issues a mile wide, the orphanage head ALSO has daddy AND mommy issues, Higuchi is so real I also love my pookie bear Akutagawa, and Yosano slayed her one cameo.

Chapters 38~42 : The Guild Aftermath Arc
After the Guild War, the members of the ADA go back to their everyday lives, solving murders, and disarming bombs. Yet just when you think that things are going to end on a flat note, and nothing major will happen, Kafka Asagiri comes up with a twist.

While I would give the previous chapters ~3 stars, chapter 42 is a full-fledged 5 stars. The fact that Ace (Alan Bennett), with his ability 'The Madness of the Jewel King' (The Madness of George III), actually invited Fyodor Dostoevsky, author of 'The Gambler' to a game of poker... And the way things "played" out from there...
This is exactly why I love this manga : The humour, the emotions, and the Easter Eggs !!

Pada permulaan jilid kesepuluh Bungo Stray Dogs ini agak ringan dengan cerita sampingan yang lucu. Selepas perlawanan epik pada jilid sembilan, staf-staf Agensi rasa agak ‘sluggish’. Namun, hanya untuk satu tempoh yang pendek. Semuanya gara-gara kafe tempat mereka melepak diserang samseng. Maka, ‘mendapatlah’ samseng-samseng itu dengan staf-staf Agensi. Kunikida-kun ada banyak aksi dalam jilid ini. Pembaca juga diperkenalkan dengan seorang bekas staf Agensi yang mempunyai kuasa IT. Seorang ‘awkward’ yang jatuh cinta. Kita dapat melihat sisi lain Akutagawa dan seorang lagi ahli Port Mafia dalam jilid ini. Membawa ke hujung, di sini mula menarik. Jilid ini bukan untuk yang ‘faint-hearted’. Tak nak cakap lebih-lebih… Dostoyevsky….

chapters 39 & 40 left an emotional impact, my heart hurt so much for atsushi and kunikida. just thought it was really well done with atsushi processing his emotions on his past and that particular person in his life.

definitely one of my favorite vols so far. the chapters with kunikida and katai are so funny, and i love the panels of akutagawa in the sunglasses lol. also we finally get to fyodor's introduction !!! i have been waiting for him.
