Whoever said fanfictions weren’t any good, has never read Escapade.
Because this was everything you could ever want in a book!!!

- the fake-dating trope which is always one of my favorites
- astonishing characterization, not only of our main characters but also the side characters
- engaging writing that brings wit and sarcasm to the table as well

Not enough to convince you to read it yet? Okay I’ll keep going:

- Louis and Jack have the best banter I’ve seen in a long time
- the perfect balance between light nonsense and serious discussions
- an intriguing plot going on outside of the romance
- a gorgeous setting
- a supportive relationship
- told though multiple povs
- one adorable dog
- a sassy niece
- great smut
- and last but definitely not least: the Zaill-lympics (to find out more, read it!)

As you can see, it’s simply perfection wrapped up nicely in a book!!!

And it’s hands down the best one I’ve read this year!!!

it was a great one but definitely not the best. there was missing element in the plot, i needed some kind of unusual twist which haven't taken a place. big up to the author that she thought carefully about every detail. what did i like the most about the story? the way she created the main characters, i really liked their personalities, there was something charming in the both of them and i enjoyed how their relationship was developing.

Being an absolute classic in the Larry fanfic universe I’ve heard so much of this but didn’t start reading it until it was referenced in another fic. Not wanting to be spoiled about the ending I started to read it and COULD NOT put it down even when it was 4 jn the morning and I had work the next day. It was funny. Interesting and everything else combined. The Ziallympics were to die for 😂💙💚 And there was little to no angst which is something I absolutely ADORE!!!! It was a feel good fic and something you can reread when you’re down in a dump.

you could see where the plot was going throughout the story, but the writing style and the way it lead you there is definitely worth the read. The right amount of funny and steamy and heartfelt.

Personalmente me gusta cuando hay mas slowburn, siento q pasa todo muy rapido y se me hace demasiado wattpad, pero es muy mono.

Me gusto mucho, me pareció divertida y ligera y si bien hay drama no se vuelve una cosa pesada y dañina tóxica como en muchas fics. Me dio mucha paz que los personajes reaccionaran de ciertas maneras, como “Ok, lo esta manejando bien”. Hay una romantizacion acerca del desenlace de la situación laboral de unos personajes que aparenta un plow twist pero que termina siendo, en mi opinión, el cliché que todos están esperando y que le quita interés a la historia. A mi parecer hubiera resultado mas interesante de leer que sucedía si este switch no sucedía y como los personajes aprendían a resolverlo y convivir con eso en el diario cotidiano. Me quede con ganas de leer eso. Si bien el final me gusto, me resulto bastante predecible en ese sentido que menciono.

Primero que nada hay que ser objetivos con esta review y dejo claro que esto es un fanfic, por lo tanto mis estándares son diferentes porque claramente no es lo mismo que una novela, teniendo eso en cuenta prosigo con la review.

Fácilmente se convirtió en mi confort fic debido a que no hay drama que rompa mi corazón o me haga llorar.
Es de esos fics en donde las cosas suceden con facilidad y no paras de sonreír mientras lees de lo adorable que resulta la historia.

El hecho de que el nivel de drama sea tan bajo también juega un poco en contra de la fic, pues a mi parecer tarda un poco en desarrollarse al principio, sin embargo no es algo que te impida seguir leyendo.

Si están buscando una fic linda que no les haga llorar o destruya su estabilidad emocional, definitivamente Escapade es la mejor opción.

[DNF] I read the first couple chapters for the fan fiction category of a reading challenge after a Googled listicle included it as the only non-Twilight entry. It was too long to keep my attention before I bounced for something Killing Eve-related but I found what I did read well-written, playful, and funny. Recommended if you want gay erotica aligned with your belief that Harry Styles actually wrote Sweet Creature about Louis.

it had it cutes af moments and i really liked it then but overall it was ok
too much smut which was written very skillfully yet made be uncomfortable as it seemed to be created solely for the purpose of satisfying the authors fantasies
and this kinda theme followed through the whole book and made the story less enjoyable
it was a bit to perfect too but i still liked the fluff - they were just cute af and momrry is always my fave so yep

This is my second full length Larry fanfic that I have ever read and I have to say I absolutely loved it. The characterisation of Harry and Louis is so good and their banter? IT IS EVERYTHING!!!
I loved the character of “Jack McQueen,” probably best character written in any fanfic i’ve ever read, the sample size across all fandoms is small so I maybe biased haha.

If I had to really nitpick something I felt like the other characters were a lil’ inconsistent and borderline made me hate Zayn and Niall. Also, growing up as a directioner and reading “Imagines” and “Headcanons” on Wattpad back in the day, it felt weird to not have Ziam as the secondary ship. Beautiful fic nonetheless. Oh and did I mention I hated Louis’ family in this too?

I could reread it all over again esp for the first two chapters and have my jaw dropped every time Jack meets Jo for the first time and introduces himself.

amé que no hubiera nada de toxicidad y que todo se hablara en vez de suponer cosas y que los protas tuvieran la valentía de decir lo que sentían en vez de callarlo porque asumían que no era correspondido.

el final lo sentí un poquitín, no sé si apresurado o alargado, quizá la historia pudo terminar antes sin ningún problema o alargar y detallar más ese final también sin problemas; para ambas daba, y la verdad es que le hubiera gustado un final con más detalles, sentimientos y continuación de la historia.

a pesar de eso, la historia entró demasiado fácil en mi top de favoritas, últimamente ando fan del romance light pero sutro❤️‍🔥🥵

en cuanto a spicy, la historia tarda un poco en llegar a eso, pero no decepciona 👀❤️‍🔥
