As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.

My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.

My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with.
I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.

I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.
When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!

I love to hear from readers, so please email me!

Well, I'm not really sure how to rate this one to be honest. As I was reading, I kept thinking it was going to be difficult for me to rate.

I liked the hero, Monty. He was all about Angel right from the start and never wavered. He was very good to her, loving, patient, kind. I liked the heroine, Angel. She was sweet and smart and when confronted by Monty's bitchy mother and ex, Claire, she took it all in stride and never let it bother her or run away. She wasn't annoying or brass at all.

There was some suspense/mystery and I was definitely left guessing until the end. I had suspicions but the author weaved it well enough to throw doubt on several characters. However, I think between that and the cuts to other side characters, it kind of lowered my enjoyment a bit. I wanted more romance between the hero and heroine. I think also, the author's style of writing just wasn't for me. It would switch from one character to another and I felt like it interrupted the flow of reading.

So, overall, I liked it but I didn't love it. I will settle on 3.25 stars.

As with all my books, I fall in love with the characters that have been in my head far longer than they have been on paper! Monty was a secondary character in Tony (The Alvarez Security Series) and was a suspect for much of the book. When I finished, I had readers who wanted to know if he would get his own story and I said "no". But one fan in particular (who is an amazing promoter of my books) continually said that he needed his own book. As the Saints came to fruition in my mind, Monty was a perfect choice to join them. So you see readers...you can influence an author! Monty and Angel were such opposites, but what they bring to each other's lives made them whole. I hope everyone enjoys this book as much as I did bringing it to life!

Another home-run for Maryann Jordan! One of the reviewers used the phrase "alpha-tude" to describe Monty and I'm going to steal it. Monty is the quiet, authoritative alpha male, while Angel is his polar opposite. He's a Spartan, she's an exploding rainbow. Together they bring out the best in each other and really make the reader root for them.

Well done, my friend! VERY well done!

I think this series is basically candy. I am LOVING it. Criminal minds meets Elle Kennedy was exactly what I needed.

This time we got to learn all about Montgomery "Monty" Honor, the badass former FBI agent that's sick of his boring life. Raised to be a lawyer or a judge, all Monty has ever known is disappointment in his parents' eyes. When he joined law enforcement and later FBI, he found his parents just didn't care about his accomplishments. So he tried to be enough for them elsewhere - he dated successful, skinny women and lived in a boring apartment; with white walls and beige furniture.

Then he met Angel.

Angel Cartwright is the baker and owner of Angel's Cupcake Heaven, the best cupcake shop in Virginia. With teal, pink, and purple colors in her hair and curves for days, this bombshell is loving life and doesn't care what others think. The only thing missing is love. However, with her crazy busy work it's not like she's looking.

Meanwhile, Angel's friends seem to be dropping like flies. One death after the other, she can't handle the losses. Monty, the hot private protector, is working the case and can't help working her. Together they're determined to find out who is killing her friends and what's more - protect Angel from the same fate.

Okay, I've got to say - I LOVED Angel. It's so refreshing to read about a character that doesn't give a shit what people think about her. When someone says something negative behind her back, she confronts them and laughs it off. When Monty's ex tries to put her down in front of him, she laughs in her face before putting the woman in her place. She doesn't feel insecure because she knows Monty wants to be with her. I adored her attitude.

Monty, meanwhile, was protective without being controlling. He recognized he had an independent woman and while he protected her physically, he let her fight her own battles.

I liked the drama of the plot itself - and I totally called it! I knew . And the book itself just had a good flow. The romance is the focal point of the story, but the investigation brings so much to the story. It's fun trying to figure out who did what!

Plus, the book totally makes me want to eat cupcakes!

We have another release in the Saints series. Although I love these men I am finding myself not connecting with the characters as much as I was in the first few releases. Im not sure if I am wanting the original men back or what but I still am enjoying the reads.

Monty and Angel are made for each other. They are both honest, don’t play games and each know what they want. Monty is a strong male and Angel knows herself just as well. The characters work great together but I wanted more. Maybe I missed the banter and the hardship between the love interest in the story. What they wanted came so easily. Angel didn’t take anything from Monty’s ex or his over the top Mom. Yes I missed the drama. Who knew?!?!?!

The suspense and the crime centered in this one was more the focus of the story again leaving me wanting some terrible love on and off again with our leads. I did love the fact that we find the men of Saints moving along with their loved ones and we get to visit with them and continue on with their story.

It could be that Monty was a secondary character in another book and I wasn’t focused as much on him …. Or it could be that I just loved the initial meeting of our guys and cant get past that first release…. . Regardless the book is another win for the most part in the series. Maryann has lead us down a good series!

Thank you for the ARC! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Once again, Maryann created a superb mixture of romance and suspense, with a great hero and heroine. I also liked a lot that we meet all the hot men of Saints Investigation and Protection Services again throughout the book.

I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate that Maryann's characters are always so normal and mature. Angel and Monty are open and honest with each other, they don't play any games or throw childish fits. It's very sweet to see how Monty falls for Angel who shouldn't be his type at all, with her extremely colourful life.

The crime story however is a lot more complicated than Angel and Monty's developing relationship. The different murders and suspects are well crafted and left me guessing almost until the end about the murderer. The drama and angst when Angel is threatened, too, speed up the story towards the end.

This novel is definitely another winner in this series and I'm looking forward to the next book!!!

I think for the Saints protection & investigation series this one is my favorite one. I just loved them and the suspense was killing me just like her other books. Reading the other comments they said Monty appeared in Tonys book, I must read it long time ago because I don't remember ahh! I loved monty and how he found loved he second guessed it but didn't push her away like the other books. Monty world was plain, he dated plain girls or girl he thought his parents would approve of, until on a date he saw Angel "Cupcake". From the beginning Monty was all the alpha-ness protective which was cute and she accepted it. Angel was great she wasn't whiny or jealous she knew what she had and worked it. She was the color that monty needed in his life which made them great together. The suspense of the book was awesome had me pointing fingers then making me rethinking of it love it!. I was hoping Luke's book was next but guess not, I think its chad awesome!

Maryann Jordan is an awesome author. Honestly what more can you say. With each book my appreciation for her talent as a writer grows. Honor Love is another great example of her excellent work. There are no games being played between the hero and heroine. This book is full of honest feelings with mature characters. I love how this book shows how even without actually meeting a person. an impression can be made that will last over time. Another strong independent woman who knows her limits and an alpha male who takes care of those he loves. My only warning is that you will need to cupcakes on hand by the time you are done.

>Book review – Honor Love

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 4th in the Saints Protection and Investigations series and ends in an HEA. This story really shows how opposites attract. Monty is the most uptight and professional looking Saint. He is attracted to a woman who owns a colorful cupcake shop. Angel has tricolored hair and an extroverted personality. Her life is full of color, while Monty is all black & white.

>The case in this story revolves around Angel and who is killing her sorority sisters. All of the Saints take part in the investigation, which is really suspenseful. As Angel catches the killer’s attention, Monty really steps up and becomes the alpha protector. Their romance is so sweet as Angel teaches Monty how to enjoy life. This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this story 5 stars.

Monty and Angel’s story:

Will this ex FBI agent turned Saint find his HEA, with the Cupcake baker?  Will he and his co-workers be able to solve this next case before his Cupcake becomes the next target?  This was another great book in the Saint’s series, I will definitely be reading the others.

I loved it!! Another wonderful story by Maryann Jordan.
Angel was amazing, strong and sweet and she knew exactly what she wanted for herself whether it be in business or in her personal life. Everything is going great for her until one of her best friends is killed.
Monty is smart and hot and very alpha. He's also in control of everything in his life and must have order all the time. Until the night he sees a stunning woman with bright stripes of color in her hair that is :)
He's instantly impressed with her and wants to one day meet her.
that day comes sooner than he can imagine when he gets sent to investigate the murder of a young woman and comes face to face with Angel.
Can he keep her safe now that he has her in his life ? or will someone take her from him??
I couldn't put it down I swear!!

I adored Honor Love!!! I am a huge fan of The Saints Protection and Investigation series! I loved the first book and feel like each book gets better and better. Honor Love is Monty's story and Honor is the perfect middle name for Monty. In my mind, only an angel will be a good enough match for him. Angel Cartwright has a sweet and caring soul that shines through the pages.
In this book the Saints work to uncover the mystery behind deaths that are happening to people close to Angel.

"Monty lay awake as the pink, pre-dawn sky filtered into his bedroom, bathing the room in a soft pastel glow. Why have I never noticed that before? He knew the answer as he watched the light stretch across the room, offering a slight illumination over the woman sleeping in his bed. She brought the color into my world."

As always another great book by Maryann. Monty is a Former FBI who lives a life in black and white. Angel is a baker who lives a life full of color and the two of them makes the perfect couple. After 3 of Angels sorority sisters die, Monty will do everything to protect his "cupcake".
Love the suspense that Maryann always has in her books and LOVE the protective Alpha-males.
5 cupcake stars for me!

‘Saints Protection & Investigation - A private investigation business, pulling together men from the CIA, FBI, ATF, DEA, Border Patrol, SEALs, and police, devoted to the missions that no one else wanted or could solve.’

Honor Love is the fifth book in the Saints Protection & Investigations series by Maryann Jordan. After seeing this series pop up several times as recommendations from friends on social media, I knew I needed to check them out. But when I went to purchase one to explore, I found I had several waiting on my Kindle that I hadn't even read yet ..... so I quickly set about remedying that.
This is an engrossing twelve-book journey that blends romantic suspense with high-stakes investigative drama. The core of the series follows a private investigation business composed of men with backgrounds in the CIA, FBI, ATF, DEA, Border Patrol, SEALs, and police – all are individuals uniquely suited to tackle missions no one else can handle. This military-trained ensemble ensures plenty of adrenaline-fueled action while also maintaining a more personal element through the romantic subplots.
Each book introduces us to strong, alpha male MMCs who are then paired with resilient, intelligent women. The complex interplay between duty and romance gives the characters relatable motivation and plenty of growth.
Ms. Jordan crafted tightly woven storylines, ranging from kidnapping rescues and cartel confrontations to counterterrorism and high-tech investigations. Each mission is distinct, often escalating in danger and complexity, which maintained the suspense throughout the stories/series.
The romances are an integral part of the storyline/s - offering steamy interactions that complement the suspenseful storylines. Relationships develop naturally under the pressure of shared danger, enhancing the emotional stakes without overwhelming the investigation plots.
Maryann Jordan balances intense action, emotion, and steamy romance - creating a binge-worthy collection I recommend for readers who appreciate edge-of-your-seat suspense, alpha-type heroes, strong heroines, and high-stakes missions.
Happy Reading…

Not as many spelling mistakes & Monty doesn’t fight his attraction! YES!!

It was okay. I liked the fact that finally there’s a man that doesn’t fight his attraction to his woman. He dates her like a normal man would!! Also there’s a lot less spelling mistakes and plot errors, although the plot was silly, sadly.

Angel meets Monty when the Saints are investigating the disappearance of her friend, Marcia. When they start to link Marcia’s murder with two of her other friends who belong to the same sorority, they believe Angel is in danger. Angel is the complete opposite of what Monty has dated before, she’s bright, colourful and laughs a lot. He falls madly in love with her and it’s really sweet.

As the investigation continues it becomes clear that the murders are all linked with the finance company that Marcia worked for. This is where the plot gets silly….. again! Monty doesn’t ask Angel about something that is really really pertinent to the case. Then Angel does something really really stupid, that puts a target on her back.

A few plot errors. Angel has coloured streaks in her hair, teal pink and something else. These colours need to be redone every four-six weeks as they would fade and look horrid. There is absolutely no mention of her having streaks, or going to the hairdressers. As an ex FBI agent, Monty misses some huge clues to the murders, and doesn’t ask Angel the questions that he really should. I figured out who the murderer was pretty fast. Annoying sex scenes again. They’re are endless! Going on and on…. Skipped pages again.

I skipped books three and four, as it was obvious the men fought their feelings, and I was sick and tired of reading about wimpy men. It was really refreshing to read Monty and Angels story, as this series the men are all terrified of their feelings.

Monty Lytton is a straight laced ex FBI agent who does his job at the Saints Protection & Investigations well. But he is lacking fun and excitement. He is a disappointment to his parents as is his sister. He goes out with women who are model thin and professions, perfect for his parents approval but all of that goes out the window when he tastes Angel Cartwright's cupcakes with their signature pink, purple and teal swirls.

Angel is the owner of Angel's cupcake heaven and she and Monty have a connection even before being formally introduced. She is not a woman to be missed as her blonde hair has streaks of her signature colors. She and Monty's eyes lock at a restaurant he takes his date too while Angel is their to meet a few of her sorority sisters. They never speak with words but their is an attraction there.

Angel's sorority sister Marcia, a senator's daughter, goes missing and Angel is determined to find the truth. After all she can take care of herself as both her father and brother taught her self defense. Well things didn't quite work out that way and Monty comes to her rescue and they meet face to face for the first time. And the rest is one wild ride with murder, twists and turns, hot sex, alpha males and lots of cupcakes!

I really am enjoying this series. There is action and intrigue as well as romance and well hot alpha man and strong female characters. I mean what's not to love? Ms. Jordan's writing pulls me in. I can imagine Jack's house vividly and can almost smell the cupcakes in Angel's oven. I want to visit the town the story is based on. Ms. Jordan sucks me in and holds me unto the end.

Bring on to the next book!

INTRIGUING STORY! 😁

This was an intriguing, non-stop drama, very suspenseful book. The plot was very cleverly laid out and kept me guessing almost until the end. I could not put it down because the action was never ending and the romance was endearingly sweet. The love story between Monty and Angel was so heartwarming and sexy and I really liked that they took one look at each other and were hooked! Maryann Jordan's couples are always such interesting, likeable, and relatable characters. I like too that there is usually low angst between them which allows you to sit back and enjoy their journey. I also enjoy the entire Saints Protection team and their wives etc. who always step up to the plate for each other with genuine support, affection and a helping hand. I highly recommend this book... Monty will make you swoon with his tenderness towards Angel. Angel will make you smile with her wonderfully upbeat attitude and honesty. The mystery will keep you guessing and the whole team will make you wish they were your friends!😊

By the rules Former FBI/Saint Operative Montgomery ‘Monty’ Honor Lytton’s used to disappointing his parents. Avoiding another lecture, he participates in the fun of trying to eat a large colorful cupcake in as few bites as possible. Out for dinner with his mom’s idea of the perfect Monty’s attention is drawn to a woman he didn’t realize he thought was perfect until he knew and that woman looked exactly like his niece’s cupcakes.

Angel Cakes bakery owner, Angel Cartwright notices Monty a few tables over and is surprised how much she likes him noticing her while she’s out with friends. A few days later, one of those friends is missing and turns up murdered. Monty’s assigned to the case and they indulge their mutual attraction while Monty works the case. Angel mentions this was the second death, Monty realigns the team with a different direction. But not before a third sorority sister murder occurs.

Love Angel's signature colors both in her bakery and her hair

I was totally shocked y who the murderer really was. Especially the reason behind the murders and attempted murder of Angel. But with Monty being with Angel, at least he finally has some color in his life and pulled the stick out of his ass. Angel has him living a life he wants and not trying to appease his parents anymore because he didn't become a lawyer or judge like they wanted. I love Angel and her signature colors and Monty together. She is good for him.

Now I want to know about the mystery person that hacked Luke's system and has been helping them. Is it some young geeky guy like he thinks or is it a girl?

Monty and Angel

I absolutely loved this one! Monty is uptight and perfectly dressed due to his previous FBI day. Angel is a beautiful curvy blonde, with colorful hair and totally at ease running her cupcake shop. When these two meet she brings color to his world. She’s definitely not his type but she’s what he needs. While investigating the murder of her three of her sorority sisters Monty is determined to keep his own “Cupcake” safe. This one is so sweet, romantic, suspenseful, and steamy. We get cupcakes, a snooty mother, some loving parents, loving and supportive siblings, the Saints and their women. There are lots of suspects and you will be on the edge of your seat at the climax of this investigation.

WOW! What an interesting twist to this story. This story is about Monty and Angel. Monty was not feeling good about his relationships and was feeling like something was missing. He then set eyes on Angel and his life became alive. When Angel's friends started dying, the Saints became involved when they realized that Monty was falling for Angel. Since they got together, it was obvious that someone was out to do away with Angel's friends. The person was a shock and her explanation was sordid and sad. Once she was arrested, Monty and Angel were able to find their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Maryann! I would recommend this book.

Wow. Never saw the ending turning out like it did. Lot of action. Monty was his own man, doing the job he loves. He is living his life the way he wants, not as his parents want him to be put in a mold of family history.
On the other hand Angel is doing exactly what she wants to do with the full support of her family.
A chance encounter brings Monty and Angel together to solve a disappearance. They help each other through mystery, sadness, and the Saints brotherhood and protection.
That chance encounter turns into soulmates forecer.

Another great book by Maryann Jordan. I love how all the guys from Saints are alphas but yet some how are beyond supportive and encourage their women to be the great. It was great to see a relationship between Monty and Angel where you could see Monty protecting her but not allowing it to stifle her in any way. Watching them grow from strangers to so much more and has it happened watching Monty grow as a person was great and eye opening in some ways. I can't wait to see who gets the next book.

Another fantastic book by Maryann Jordan. I was always looked forward to when Maryann Jordan is coming out with a new book, and she definitely did not disappoint this time.

This series just keeps getting better and better. I love the mystery and suspense of this book.

All the books in this series can be read as stand-alones but characters cross over and even some from past books make an appearance.

I love the combination of hot alpha males and strong female with lots of suspense thrown in.

Great book

I really liked this book. The way they met was very interesting. I liked how Monty was already so taken by Angel before they even spoke to each other. They have chemistry and conversations came by easily. The mystery/plot of the book was also interesting. Kept me guessing throughout the book. Lots of action and romance. No angst. I can see me reading this again. I recommend.

Another top notch story

Monty has lead a sterile and boring life outside of working for the saints. He meets Angel and life is changed forever. Angel is bubbly and colorful (literally with multi colored streaked hair). She introduces Monty more than anyone ever has in life and now he has to keep her safe. Someone is trying to kill Angel.

Excellent story! I love how our lead characters met with eyes meeting across the restaurant and locking with interest. Then angel winks even though Monty is on a date with another woman. But what a twist. I never expected the murderer to be that gal! My gosh I was thrown for a loop! Also, I am so interested in finding out who is the expert hacker is that keeps helping. 5 Stars!
