Gillian Gordon is close to finishing her teaching course when she crashes her car. With no other vehicles involved, and medical tests showing no alcohol or traces of drugs in her bloodstream, there seems to be no explanation for the accident. Gillian, however, is convinced there was someone else there: a boy, full of fury, with dark hair, dark eyes, and a face she can’t quite bring into focus. There should have been a windscreen separating them, but in Gillian’s mind, he was closer than was possible. When more visions begin to interrupt her daily life and her mother brings up worrying incidents from the past, Gillian starts to wonder just what exactly she is seeing and why.
