This stirring story took nearly three years to come to an end, but it was worth the journey

Kol took me on a journey of self discovery that pushed my buttons and my limits in equal measure

I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this series, and its finale is perfect and fitting to the characters that we have come to know and love in equal measure

I cannot waittttt to see what Kol does next!

More prisoner slave adventures for Aaron and Carter

When things start happening with Carter, Aaron's "replacement" after he escapes from prison, Vincent begins to feel bad for him. The mistreatment and torture keep happening as the slave training psychology is imprinted on their bodies and brains.

Eric is finally exposed to Aaron as the boss's partner in crime, but it goes badly for him. Vincent takes back Aaron from Eric and they go on a run to avoid recapture or arrest.

Completely Blown Away

I hoped going into Season 2 that it would be as good as Season 1, I was not disappointed it was better. Catching up with Aaron and how he was adjusting to being back in the real world again. Healing physically and emotionally was heart breaking, seeing his strength still there was beautiful. He desperately wants to help others who are suffering the same as him. I don't believe he sees himself as a victim, but he is determined to help Carter his Replacement.

Season 2 will follow Carter who replaced Aaron after he escaped and also
give an insight into who Vincent is and why. I absolutely loved this series I'm gutted I've finished and will never be able to read it again for the first time.
If in could give it more than 5*'s I would.

So this was interesting. Now, before I start I just want to say I’m writing this review with the belief there are no more books to this series. That this was the last we’ll hear from these characters.
When we left Season One there were a million questions, a ton of loose ends, and all hope gone. Now, Season 2, each episode, brought more clarity, but it also brought more questions.
We are deeply involved with Carter here, Vincent, Aaron, sure but I felt like this was more Carter’s journey (nightmare).

Kol still masters the dark depravity that I have come to expect from his books. His creativity knows no bounds and taboo is too gentle a word for his tales. Major props to him for his bravery and his storytelling.

I had an issue though that has nothing to do with the material of this story. For me, and this is my opinion, if this was the last book for these characters it shouldn’t be. There are still questions, a lot of loose ends, no finality, and no happy ending. Now, it’s possible the no happy ending is the intention of the author so I can’t fault anyone for that. But there’s holes.

Remember, I’m writing this based on the fact I think this is the end. If it’s not than I have no doubt Kol will fill in the blanks in future books. As it stands it feels incomplete to me. Perhaps the desolate haunting feeling is supposed to be the end game of this ride. Again, if that’s the goal it’s been achieved. Lol.

Some will see this as open ended and justice served. Others, like myself, may not see it that way at all. But perhaps there IS more to come. One can hope.

Season Two, of te wel: Once Broken, The Devil You Know en The Replacement.

How did the author do us so dirty?

I'm assuming this is the end of the story since it was released in 16...but like it was so open ended. No answers no conclusion. I'm very upset I invested 2 days of my life to this series to not get any answers...no way it should of ended there.

Over two years.....Two years I've waited for this one and I so wasn't disappointed....Kol has ended the Broken series with a superb book....I kind of wanted more to happen but we did get disclosure that we've been waiting for.....Vince...Now he surprised me in the fact he left Eric alive....Why....I so wanted Eric to suffer...I hate that guy...That bit was left unended for me.....Aaron..Stupid for what he did in the last book, I guess he now gets his life back and wouldn't it have been nice for him to get together with Sebastian but I suppose in my head they can be together....Now Carter....Oh i wanted to get a vigilante group together and go rescue him....He's stuck in that world where all he is is a slave....Made to service his master Tristan (who i was right about....Hate him just as much as Eric)....Made to do things you'd think no man could come back from....I hoped the ending would see him free......But even so....This was a brilliant end to the Broken series and one I shall keep coming back to again and again x
