Rate this book
Blayze Dragomir never liked hiding. Now that he and his brothers have been exposed as the last of the dragon shifters, he's determined to make the most of this temporary fame. He's looking for fast women and fast money, but what he finds is no-nonsense private eye Ramona Jones. He has a special project that needs investigating ... and he might just need her in his life, permanently.

Ramona Jones swore off dating long ago. She's content with building her business until Blayze Dragomir shows up, looking for help solving the mystery of who poisoned his sister-in-law. Taking the case will put her in danger from drug dealers and criminals, neither of which scares her. It's the way she feels about Blayze that frightens her to the bone.

I thought the first book in this series was ok, so I decided to give this one a try since it was offered as a kindleunlimited. I have to say, I wasn’t impressed. The hero was basically an arrogant manwhore. Numerous times it was mentioned that he had women willing and waiting for him to have sex with - he had no shame in having random hookups with women. This was why he liked feeling like a celebrity "because all women wanted him and all men wanted to be him". At one point he even mentioned he had 3 apps on his phone and within an hour he could have a woman available to him. Also, after he and the heroine hook up, he flirts and lets women flirt with him in front of the heroine. Ummm, no thanks. (I will say though, once he and the heroine hook up there is no cheating or him hooking up with OW) Speaking of our heroine, the hero was drawn to her beauty and voice, and could not get over the fact that when they first met she showed no interest in him and blew him off. I love a feisty heroine that doesn’t immediately bow down to the hero. However, he shows up at her work the next day and in no time at all, she actually propositions him by saying "Do you want to go have sex". REALLY? That ruined her for me. Aside from that this book was a pretty cliché shifter romance with not a lot of depth, but tons of sex. At least it was offered as a kindleunlimited. Not a memorable read for me and certainly not a series I will personally continue.

Short follow-up to The Dragon's Temptation featuring Blayze. He's an irresponsible partier and womanizer, but when someone rejects him, he has to mature in order to deserve her.
A witch pops in suddenly to make the plot work, as happened in the last book.
Typos: store is spelled sore, and in the excerpt from the next book Maxwell's has an incorrect apostrophe s plural.

Short and smutty audio great for a two hour drive.

POV: dual third

You can expect: private investigator FMC, dragon shifter MMC, he falls first, forced proximity, opposites attract, fated mates, mystery.

Spice: 3/5

CW: death of partner in car accident, kidnapping

Learning to love again! At first I didn't like Blayde in this book or the first in the series. He came across as a spoiled ass, who was determined to be lazy or have his way no matter what. Takeaways able to hold her own against him well and made him work for her love. Both had suffered losses but dealt with them differently. Loved how once he realized who she was to him he worked for it, but didn't like that I felt he flirted with the rehab nurse. He showed what he was truly like under the playboy attitude when it came down to it and in my opinion they both taught each other to love again.

The Dragon's Conquest

I didn't think this would be easy for Blayze. He fell the hardest and almost lost his mate because he is such a jerk.
