From Dark Chapter Press comes the fantastic idea of an A-Z of very short horror stories written by a range of great authors. I guess I should have started with the letter A but when I saw Andrew Lennon had written Caravan I jumped ahead to land on the letter C.
Yes, I do plan to read the whole Dark Chapter Press Alphabet.
Caravan is a great short (very) story that I read in less than ten minutes so anyone can find time for this little gem.
We have two best friends, Matt and Frankie who shears do everything together. They discover an empty caravan and for a long time it's their secret place, a place where they try a lot of things for the first time.
I was happily reading along and was totally surprised by the shock moment in the story. Didn't see it coming at all. Really well placed!
I enjoyed this short a lot, it's not super graphic or gory so would appeal to many. Definitely give this a whirl if looking for a quick story to entertain. 4 stars from me.

Matt and Frankie as young boys discover an abandoned caravan off a beaten path. They swear each other to keep this their secret. Now 14 they have made it their home away from home. It is here that they have their first cigarette, their first drunken adventure and their first hangover . Everything seems cool but Frankie has a secret desire which is the crux of this story. A great twist ending. I really enjoyed this short story and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the horror genre.

Great little story with a really sweet twist to it. I love a story that when I read it, I should have seen something coming but it's written in such a way that I simply don't.
Third story in the A-Z Dark Chapter Press horror anthology and I can't wait to read all the rest. The two before this one were great fun and I look forward to mine coming out (X The Unknown for the letter, X).

First this is part of a series called A-Z published by Dark Chapter Press as a way for new or upcoming Horror authors to be showcased.
This story is the Andrew Lennon I know and love. The premise is already on Amazon.com and I can’t give too much away. So, it’s a tale of growing up, friendship and just really seemed innocent to me. The abandoned Caravan they discovered has a lot of history behind these walls and remains a secret to outsiders. Which then, has always allowed them to experience and do whatever they wanted. You see Matt and Frankie are supposed to be best friends for life.
The ending I went, Whoa!
