Lograrán rescatar a Carter?

I waited a good 2 and a half years for this final installment in Kol Anderson's Prisoner series and Lawd help me it was worth it!

It lived up to everything I expected and then some.

All the loose ends (get it? ;) were tied up and we receive answers as to the fate of all major characters and it just solidifies my opinion of Kol's brilliance

I fell in love with Kol's writing from the first book in this series and I'm so relieved that he's publishing again and finally gave us closure on these characters even though I am sad to say goodbye to these characters

On to bigger and better things Kol! I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on your new books!

Loose Ends #7 (review about all seven book)
*standing on a stool and yelling "more, more"*

You either love or hate this kind of story. All red flags are out.
This was a real rollercoaster, exhausting in every possible way.

It was extremely violent and also full of carnal desires at the same time.
First Aaron and later Carter falling in the hands of sadists. Extremely painful but I still did go on reading ...What the f* and why..... Because it's very exciting, full off anxiety and overall intriguing
The slaves hoping for some attention in even the bad way. The way how their brain-working were described was outstanding and very convincing.

Vincent.... You should think you only can hate him.... but I didn't (all the time) He had forgotten how to feel for a long time. After he met Aaron he starts remembering. But it had to come from far. And maybe forever to late.

At one point at 9% in the last book it was really harsh I stopped ... "Breath in breath out, you can do it"
I knew superlative degree of bad and dark happened in other rooms but to see it myself was shocking.

The suspense is killing.
Every time when you think there is a redeemer the thought got killed by some horrible actions and the realization drops in that there will never be....
The main characters are all explicit painted you think you will either love or hate them but that is just a to simple statement, that's just not possible because the mindfucking goes on and on. From one leg to the other. Never a moment to just relax. While reading I was constant analizing the situation.

It was very very entertaining and when you can read between the lines and past the red flags you find a very rare intelligent and well developed story.

I felt conflicted, aroused, smashed around, deeply touched, deeply sad and very satisfied.

Kol Anderson you got yourself a fan for life. I bought all your other books

4.5 stars The Blogger Girls.

What a wonderful surprise and much needed relief to see this title for the last book of this series, as there were definitely loose ends that needed to be tied up. If you’ve made it through the rest of this story, you will not want to wait to read the grand finale.

Nothing is easy for the characters in any of Kol’s stories, and before things wrap up here, they must still go through quite a bit more. Carter is still a prisoner and in the throes of undergoing yet more torture in order to break and turn him into the perfect slave.

But, the bigger issue here is the story coming full circle with Aaron being front and center. His pursuit of taking down Vincent and the other captors to free the others he knows are suffering, has put him at the top of the must-not-live list.

Vince shows us more of his predicament as he tries to come to terms with who he has become, whether he can continue on as such, and whether he even wants to. He shows us he is “almost” as much a victim as the boys he trains, and he makes one final push to save Aaron from the clutches of Eric who is just as much a monster as if he were doing the torturing himself.

And because things are never easy, it takes until the very end for the final loose end to be tied up, and of course, Kol does it with a bang. Even as satisfying as that all was, I was still left with quite a few questions, wanting to know how everything else wrapped up, but I am happy to say goodbye with my own little torture sessions playing out in my mind in regards to the details of everyone’s demise.

If you are looking for a story that will get your heartbeat running, one that is beautifully told even as it makes you cringe, you can never go wrong with one of Kol’s books. I highly recommend any of them and can’t wait to see what he comes up with next.

Over two years.....Two years I've waited for this one and I so wasn't disappointed....Kol has ended the Broken series with a superb book....I kind of wanted more to happen but we did get disclosure that we've been waiting for.....Vince...Now he surprised me in the fact he left Eric alive....Why....I so wanted Eric to suffer...I hate that guy...That bit was left unended for me.....Aaron..Stupid for what he did in the last book, I guess he now gets his life back and wouldn't it have been nice for him to get together with Sebastian but I suppose in my head they can be together....Now Carter....Oh i wanted to get a vigilante group together and go rescue him....He's stuck in that world where all he is is a slave....Made to service his master Tristan (who i was right about....Hate him just as much as Eric)....Made to do things you'd think no man could come back from....I hoped the ending would see him free......But even so....This was a brilliant end to the Broken series and one I shall keep coming back to again and again x

The conclusion of this series has been long anticipated and by God did it not disappoint. The journey of Carter and Aaron that I've watched through anxious fingertips. I was just praying for them. I won't spoil it but telling you the outcomes but expect that Kol touch...
As for the assholes in the book... I can't help but love Vince....

Beautifully written, it gives enough to tie up the loose ends yet at the same time, leaves you with questions and wanting more. But why does that not surprise me!

It's no secret that I love Kol's books. I'm in awe of his writing prowess and yet he still shocks me with his utter brilliance in word building. Complex sentences that emote an all encompassing emotional response.
I have loved his characters, both good and evil and I feel blessed that he has shared them with us.
So thanks from me!
I can't wait for what comes next from Mr Anderson....
My innocent mind can't even fathom the next journey he will take us on.....

4.5 rounded up to 5. This entire series left me feeling like I had a gaping wound in my chest. These poor, broken boys, dropped into a living hell and twisted beyond recognition (by some truly deviant people). I'm a newcomer to the series, and find I'm disappointed this is the last book. But there's really no way to end such raw, brutal codependency easily. Ugly simply doesn't fit into tidy little boxes, and if you're hoping for a shiny ribbon tied around an HEA, this is not the series for you.

Anything that can rip the kind of emotional response out of me that this series did (and I do mean RIP) is pretty damn powerful, and power isn't always pretty. Another author directed me to this series, and I'm so glad he did. Will look for more books by Kol Anderson.

(I had to create a new bookshelf for this book--"broke my f*cking heart"..............)

Headache! This series needed to be over. Bad guys seemed to evade their much awaited demise. Call me a sadist but I wanted it to end bloody and broken for the bad guy.

Interesting.

For a book entitled Loose Ends, it seemed to create as many as it tied up....until those last five words. Clever.

Season One, oftewel: The Prisoner, Hell and Beyond en The Escape. (Ik heb ze als losse boeken gelezen!)
Season Two, oftewel: Once Broken, The Devil You Know en The Replacement.

I cannot decide if I love or hate this book. Who am I kidding, I loved it! However I did want there to be a happy ending for everyone and for the bad guys to get what was coming to them. I know there cannot always be a HEA for everyone, but knowing what these poor boys go through you just want them to get theirs. I Kol's writing and he always leaves me wanting more so why should this series be any different?

Kol you dirty sexy son of a gun. I love you with indescribable passion whislt hating you with the fire of a thousand suns. I am forever on this emotional roller coaster with you, your characters, and their stories, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Unfinished, poorly written. Seriously I can't understand how anyone can give this more than one star since this is nothing but a draft. Yes, you get the idea how the story ends but it that's all. Basically this is a bunch of indefinite scenarios wrapped up in to something that could be a decent story but sadly writer forgot to edit and put the final touches to it properly. Which makes me wonder why on earth this was published since it obviously wasn't finished... unless an author was in a hurry to get it done and didn't have more interest for the story. What a shame really.

I guess I haven’t expect this book as long as the other reader. I read the series last year, so it’s only a year for me. This was one of the first M/M series I’d read, and it was amazing. I remember I couldn’t stop reading it, but I guess I thought it had ended, so this book came to me as a surprise for me, a magnificent one, but a surprise.

I didn’t re-read it before starting this book, and it was a little hard to remember some events, but after a while I was right on track. It had most of the things I liked from the other books. Perhaps this one is a little softer in the abuse part, not meaning it doesn’t happen, but I do remember the first season was a lot darker and hard to read because of how aggressive it was.

It was very well written and a very intense pace. It has some amazing characters, it was so great to remember them. I’ve always liked Vincent the most, but in these book I found my-self more attracted to Carter, his scenes were the ones that I liked the most. I didn’t remember him as much as I did Aaron, but now his my new favorite. I think it lack a little in the transmission of emotions, but I’m taking the blame on that matter because I was so rushed to know what would happen, that I didn’t take time thinking or trying to feel what the characters were feeling

There are a lot of this that get a well conclusion in this book, but I can’t help to think there can be so much more from the point the book ends. The summary says this is the final installment of the broken series, but if this is true I will be heart broken, because now I remember what an amazing series this was and I want more, so much more.

Overall, it was really good, I just loved this series so much. I think it might not be appropriate for all readers, but the ones who like dark themes, and have no trouble reading stories that contain non/con this one is great. Perhaps it won’t work as a standalone, I recommend reading the first books on the series before this one.

This was hard- but then every book in this series has been as well. Aaron and Carter (along with so many others) went through living hell at the hands of their kidnappers. I'm glad this series has come to an end because just like any other ending there's a chance at resolution...closure.

this is a raw, cruel, disturbing, heartbreaking, sometimes hard to read, broken, hopeful amazing story....
