She doesn’t know me, but I know her. I’m the man who failed to save her four years ago.

Kidnapping her wasn’t ideal, but it was necessary.

Ellie’s life is again being threatened. The woman I love and want to spend my life with.

I hate thinking about what my psychotic cousin will do to her.

It won’t happen again.

I want to start living again. I want to learn how to love again.

I first meet Wyatt Lane after the idiot drugs me and I wake up on a heavily guarded estate in the middle of nowhere.

If that isn’t crazy enough, he tells me that he plans to marry me and give me babies. Granted, they would be beautiful babies if they looked anything like him, but this is a man who admits to having watched me for a long time. Just like Bolton Conrad had…

But unlike Bolton, Wyatt doesn’t hurt me. And even as the past resurfaces, I find myself wanting to do more than survive this time around.

This book was a RIOT. It was SO over the top. I mean Wyatt owns TWO of the World's leading investment firms. Because only owning one is SO last year I guess. It reminded me of a lot of a Jordan Silver book. I really liked it though, and enjoyed all the brothers and I will probably go on and read their books at some point. The heroine was also really likable, so that was a bonus...

I actually enjoyed this. It was cute and fairly low angst with some suspense.

Was it OTT? Yep!

Was the plot and circumstances ridiculous? Sure!

Was it cheesy at times? Definitely!

Was Wyatt's family crazy as hell? Oh yeah!!

But it all worked. I got a wonderfully OTT, possessive hero and a heroine I didn't want to throat punch. I'm happy.

Side note...it's not very steamy if that matters to you. There are a couple of sex scenes not terribly descriptive and some other kind of "fade to black" scenes. It didn't bother me because I was actually caught up in the story.

Another side note...this book ends at 12%. It's still a full length book. There are 5 bonus books at the end. I didn't read them. I think it should have been noted in the blurb because when I started it I thought it was really long.

If you're interested in a book with a hot alpha who isn't taking no for an answer then this book is for you. No cheating, no ow/om what so ever virgin h,and our H was celibate for 2 years prior to making his move on the h. Was this book over the top? You bet. Was Wyatt an ott alpha? You bet! Did I eat it up like a big chocolate sundae? Abso-freaking-lutely! My only gripe is I felt it ended to abruptly. No epilogue so I'm assuming we will hear more in future books since Miah's story was set up in the last chapter.

A vey enjoyable read with a fantastical plot that borders on the insane!
I will explain quickly here.
Hero Wyatt sees heroine Ellie and wants to date her but discovers that she just lost her family. So bad timing for her, he steps back and waits awhile. However, his crazy jealous cousin Bolton sees this and he wants to fuck his cousin Wyatt over by kidnapping and torturing this girl.
Makes sense right, hurt the person he wants. Cause that is just so logical. (He is totally batshit crazy).
So 4 years later after the heroine escapes (she saved herself here) from the hell hole torture chamber, the hero decides now is the time to be a man and ask her out!!
4 WHOLE YEARS AFTER!
Seriously, this was such a wimp ass move that it did not jive with what we know about this guy's character.
So to make her feel safe he of course kidnapped her and ties her up to the bed.
Cause, talk is overrated and after all he tried ONCE to talk to her in a cafe and she told him to get lost! Wow can you image that. 10 Second conversation and "let's go out?" And he is surprised she said NO!
Wow just wow.
The story goes from crazy to completely insane when we find that he had help from his brother and his parents. Kidnapping it seems is a family affair.
This whole family is nuts!!!
And I thought my in laws were crazy. Well they are just not to this level!
I was laughing so hard when she called his mother from the hostage home that I had to stop reading. It was just too ridiculous.
I might have stopped here if it was not for my inability to not finish a book. However, that would have been a real shame because after this point it got interesting and honest.
It was totally unexpected and I did not see it coming!
It's not often a book can surprise me with its story but this one did.
BRAVO!
Enjoyable and worth the read maybe not a reread but who knows I might.
I will check out the others in this series no promise but if it's good I will do the series here.

I actually really liked this book. It was totally unbelievable and far fetched but that's ok for me. Sometimes books have story lines that we don't believe would truly happen. I still liked it. I loved Wyatt's love for Ellie. He was crazy and OTT but I love a character like that. Ellie was very likable also. Their family was a crazy but awesome bunch of secondary characters as well. This story isn't life altering in any way but still a good escape. Definite Jordan Silver feel to it but without all of the typos. I will definitely read another book by this author.

I liked it! This book kind of reminded of watching a reality show; ridiculously entertaining, but OTT unrealistic.

Wyatt Lane first saw Ellie four years ago. Insta-Love at its finest. After he has her investigated; (yep, I said investigated, because isn't that what normal people in real life do when they see someone they are instantly attracted too? LOL) Anyway, what he finds out prevents him from going to her at the moment and he heads back home. Unbeknownst to him, someone else has noticed his immediate interest in Ellie.

Total craziness ensues. Ellie has gone thru a very traumatic experience, and now Wyatt is going for his girl with the help of his looney family. His approach to wooing his girl is OTT and unconventional, but when you love someone......(wish we didn't have all these laws, I would totally try the same thing to get Derek Jeter :)

Highly entertaining, totally unbelievable, but it was a fun read. Wyatt is OTT possessive, but he is sooooo sweet. He is head over heels in love with Ellie. I liked Ellie too. She has had hard stuff happen to her, but she is still full of sass and attitude.

Hmmm. I don't really know how to review this book. It was good and I wanted to see what would happen next BUT after you do find out what happens next or how things fold out... You start to ask the question why / how? Why did Wyatt have her nude when he held her captive? Why did he pleasure her "while she slept" on the second night of being captive? How in the world do you fall for your captor within days of being held captive (especially after what she went through)? and so many other little tid bits that were just psychotic / stupid / crazy.
You have the insta love stuff in books all the time but this is something total different.. Weird, is more the word.

Wyatt seemed strong but came across whiney. Ellie seemed strong but then just stupid.

The other brothers and and even the parents seemed fun and interesting. They brought the crazy banter in the book to life.

I did enjoy the book. This just was a weird one for me. Would recommend.

DNF @ 7%.

This story was filled with so much sweetness I got cavities. The H is filthy rich, tall, gorgeous, knows how to cook, loves his family, and utterly adores the h. Everything was just too perfect. Even the h, once she gets over the shock of being taken, giggles and easily becomes friends with the H's mom. The H's parents know he kidnapped the h and have no problem with it. They refer to her as their daughter and the H's brothers call her their sister. It was too weird.

This book (#1) together with the books Miah (#2), Jace (#3), Jared (#4), and Roman (#5) are essentially one story. Somewhere in the introductory material it says these are five billionaire Mafia romance books. So it seems they made their fortunes earlier and then went straight. There are very bad feelings between the two branches of the family. These are supposed to be romances and I guess they qualify. I almost abandoned the first book midway through because they were having very explicit sex every 2 or 3 pages and when they weren't doing it they were thinking about it. (I really do not enjoy second-hand sex, although it seems mandatory in any romance these days.). The language wasn't enjoyable either. I don't think they could say a full sentence without a f---' s---, or a-- word. However, I struggled on as there began to be vestiges of a plot which is carried throughout the five books. The main theme of the books is for each of the brothers to find "his woman" by fair means or foul. For instance, Wyatt kidnapped his "woman" to save her from his wicked cousin. He then keeps her at an isolated estate till she agrees to marry him. Poor girl, she only knew him by sight before he kidnapped her (It's a little like "The Taming of the Shrew" with more sex.).
The plot such as is concerns their family trying to control the other family. The other four boys are also in some kind of law enforcement (This requires a little suspended belief.) They are trying to discover the head of a national terrorist group that is setting off bombs. Its next event maybe to set off some poison gas in a large crowd. It may also be planning to take over the government at a later date. I will not give away the ending in case any of you are still contemplating reading these books (I don't recomend them unless you are stranded on a desert island without any thing else to read. Maybe not even then). I will warn you, be prepared to suspend belief again when the mastermind is unmasked.

Wyatte is the first book of the series "Lane brothers" .This story was totally unexpected. The relationship between the main characters Wyatt and Ellie is so much deeper than we know. At first reading through the beginning chapters, Wyatt is introduced as a total creep and lunatic and his actions towards Ellie seem unacceptable, however i kept reading and the story unfolds to make complete sense and Wyatts actions are well explained. The story unfolds beautifully and although Wyatt is portrayed as the big alpha-male, he is so passionate and caring when it come to Ellie.
Cant wait to read the rest of the series!

3.5 stars! Would have been more, but H met h 5 yrs ago and was only celibate for past 2 yrs (since he decided to make a move on h), while h stayed a virgin all those years- I'm not okay with the disparity. Other than that, it read like a Jordan Silver romance and was a fun read!

I really liked Wyatt and Ellie. I know some people won't like the fact he kidnapped her and she fell in love with him quickly, but I figure it's a book not real life. Also, whose to say what would happen if it was a real life story. Wyatt was such a caring person, I loved him myself. Ellie was broken, but she didn't just play dead with Wyatt. The family was great. I can't wait to read their stories. This was a book that could make you sad one moment and then laughing the next. I would definitely recommend.

Over the top Male and heroine that was quite strong. I loved the family dynamics and the set up for a series. Although I will say it did remind me of several of the Jordan Silver books which I absolutely loved. It definitely is a suspend all reality read.

I see a new series to read in my future.

Excellent

Really enjoyed reading this Wyatt's story was good and unusual with the lengths he was prepared to go to to get his girl, I look forward to the rest of the books in this series. What makes this exceptional are all the bonus books that have been included each is a very good read, put them all together and you have a great deal.

The material & settings were okayish.
Some points were charming, while some points made me frown.
And I felt something was missing...
Emotions and situations were too easily described to sympathize.

Wyatt Lane.

This was definitely a different kind of story.....stalking, kidnapping, love, etc. I didn't much care for the premise at first, but the story definitely grew on me. The five short stories were all terrific, with characters that were quirky and endearing.

Over the top is an understatement. It was nice to see a guy so in love. But his methods are ridiculous. Why did she wake up naked at the beginning? How did that help his agenda?

It started out strange but then things were explained then it wasn't so odd and I actually enjoyed this book. I'm still trying to figure out where Mafia comes in with this group of books.

I love Wyatt, even though he is intense as hell. He would do anything for his woman no matter what. Ella had a horrible past. She went through so much. I am glad she had Wyatt on her side.
