I loved this read and I really got a chance to know more about Allie and her powers, Mattie, Ben, and even Sindy and finding out who her sire was. I truly loved everything that Melanie has written this far and with all 13 books that I have read; they have all been 5 stars. AMAZING.

The greatness continues.
Ahh!!! I'm so in love with this series, I can't seem to stop reading. I'm in love with the storyline and of course all the characters. We read as a few of the characters, which in itself is great! That way we still remember them and wonder what is in store for them. Many things are brought to life and the storyline is further unraveled letting us in on some amazing secrets. We find out what went done and when with a few of the characters. It gives you a more in depth look into their past. I have to say Allie is one of my favorite characters but in this book I was getting annoyed with her nonchalance about some important things. Ok I NEED to read the next book so go and read this series now!

A new story and new twist
You have to read the books, including the first series, that came before this one. Each volume has a unique story, but knowing the characters lends to the depth of the storytelling. I am a fan of this vampiric series, and love how it continues on from one to the next. Now, it's New Years Eve, and some rituals are about to begin, including a new set of surprises, as the readers and Cain have to figure out who can really be trusted, while discovering the depths of powers all around. He's not your typical blood-sucker, and there is a great connection with all the characters. Truly worth the read if you're into the undead, and semi-humans.

The Eyes have it
In this episode we learn the importance of the color of a vampires eyes. So very different from and Vampire tales we've heard before. In addition the origin of the lore of Vampires turning into bats is discussed. Arif is a very disconcerting presence in Atlantic City, but there isn't a lot of time to gamble. Love this series, and now they are "3."

Do not miss a book in this series! excellent read!
I am so hooked on this series! I can't put these books down at all. This is turning out to be one of the greatest story arcs that I have ever read (in any genre). So good!

***THIS BOOK WAS PROVIDED TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
This is the forth novella in book 2 of the Almost Human series by author Melanie Nowak and although readers don't need to read book 1 I do feel they would need to read the first novellas in this second part to enjoy it.
Wow! It takes a lot to surprise me when it comes to vampire books and the rules and ideas involved but Melanie Nowak has managed to create a whole new mythos here and I am really enjoying it. This installment had LOTS of vampyric knowledge to soak up along with the regular story that we were already following. I am really intrigued as to where she is going to go with this especially as more links are being made between various characters.
On to the next installment for me and an easy 5 stars for this one!
