From the day she was born, Charkes was in the midst of her purpose. She was the first of her parents' 9 children and eventually became the only mother her siblings knew. In a conscious but unconscious manner, she moved about life with intention, despite dire circumstances. As a child she was an adult-- guiding, caring, loving and parenting. She never complained or stumbled, she just focused on the moment, understanding that her God-given courage, and audaciousness was not only necessary for her future but also for the future of those akin to her.

Great book!!!

Since she has currently become known to me in a professional relationship, I was anxious to read this. Very good and I have started her second book.
