I should have read this before. I love Colubrina's fics so much. I've ever reread them twice or thrice. So I don't know why I didn't read this before. It was the perfect post-war fic. The plot and growth was immaculate. The relationships cute and perfect. The fluff and smut 🤌 I would have loved a few more time skips at the end but still an amazing fic. 💖

This was my first 8th year dramione fic and it made me realize they are not exactly my favourite type of fic but I still did really enjoy this one.
The found family aspect of this is what truly made it for me, they all built the most beautiful family together that had me tearing up a couple of times. A lot of pain and not so healthy coping mechanisms in this fic but it was done in a great way. It was definitely a hurt/comfort situation for every single character.

Let me tell you, this is probably the best fanfic you will ever read and I am not even joking.
It will make you laugh and cry and laugh and cry at the same time.
Rebuilding is a story of hurt and comfort and moving on and falling in love - both with others but mostly with yourself.
It's about battling your inner deamons and realizing you don't have to do it by yourself.
It's perfection and if you are ever in the need to heal your sould, do yourself a favour and read it.

I didn't fully finish reading this. It's not bad really, but it's just not my type of stuff to read. I made it half-way through before I called it quits. It was interesting enough, so I hope many people do love this story. As for me, I'd say I'll find something else. Good job though, and keep working at it!

Loved this fic! Draco and Hermione were perfection! Draco’s interactions with the younger students was great! The changing POV’s were done very well and flowed well! Loved all of the side characters stories too! Also Drarry banter was perfect!

If you're a Potterhead, this is by far one of the best fics out there. Hands down. Do yourself a favour and indulge yourself in this especially if you feel the withdrawal. And ESPECIALLY if you need a long-winded, never-ending HP fix.

La trama es interesante, pero creo que en si la historia duro mas de lo que deberia. Después de tantos capítulos comenzó a volverse muy predecible y un poco tediosa.

The two parts were nice and fluffy and cute. Not the best fanfic but it was nice to have an insight on everybody else. I loved every pairing and it was so much fun reading

Un fic de esperanza hacia el futuro.
Hermione no tiene ya más que perder, su vida no es la misma después de salvar el mundo mágico, y su relación con Ron ya no es más. Se ve alejada de la familia, sola en el mundo, y su única opción es regresar a Hogwarts antes del inicio de clases para ayudar a reconstruir el castillo después de la batalla.
Draco no tiene a donde ir, su familia está constantemente encima de el que siquiera lo dejan pensar. Su único escape es regresar al lugar donde todo salió mal, Hogwarts.
Al encontrarse estos dos en la única sala común no destruida por la batalla (spoiler-alert: es la de Slytherin), y enfocados a ordenar la biblioteca, algo especial surge entre estos dos personajes, una relación.
Pero no importa tanto esto de ellos que no es lo único padre de este fic!! Pues como mencione, ellos están antes de que inicien clases, ¿pero que pasa una vez que inician clases y algunos estudiantes de su mismo año regresan a estudiar? Pensarían que todo pudiera salir mal, pero no.
Se logra hacer un grupo de terapia para aquellos sobrevivientes, principalmente del año de Hermione y Draco ya que fueron los que más fuerte les pegó la guerra. Conformado no solo por Slytherins, sino también integrantes de las demás casas, cada uno de ellos carga con el peso de la guerra pasada de una manera diferente, y poco a poco se abren el uno con el otro hasta formar un cierto tipo de familia que no encontraron en su sangre.
Puntos buenos para lo que es la familia elegida en este fanfic, algo que vemos muy notorio en los Weasley (la estoy viendo Sra. Weasley, perdono pero no olvido), pero también lo vemos en como estos estudiantes que prácticamente ya son adultos en el mundo mágico acoger a aquellos más chicos y los cuidan como si fueran suyos, dado sus experiencias en este mundo.
Es una historia bastante bonita, y no termina solo con el año escolar de estos personajes, si no que vemos un poco más en el futuro post-graduación como les cae la vida laboral, algo super padre en Hermione y Draco quienes te sorprenden en sus decisiones debo admitir.
Les recomiendo mucho este fanfic especialmente si están pasando por alguna transición en su vida o época muy dura. Es agridulce pero con un final muy feliz.

A fanfic with hope for the future.
Hermione has got nothing to lose, her life isn’t the same after saving the wizarding world, and her relationship with Ron is no more. She is alienated from her family, alone in the world and her only choice is to go back to Hogwarts before classes start to help rebuild the castle after the Battle.
Draco has nowhere else to go, his family is constantly on his back that he barely has time to think. His only escape is to go back to the place where it all went wrong, Hogwarts.
Finding themselves the only ones in the only standing common room (spoiler-alert: it’s the Slytherin common room), and focused in rebuilding the library, something special comes out of this, a relationship.
But this isn’t the only important part in the story! As I mentioned, they meetup before classes start, but what happens when classes begin, and classmates of their year come back to complete their studies? You’d think it’d all go downside, but on the contrary.
They manage to make a support group for those who survived, mainly Hermione and Draco’s classmates as they went through the thick of it all. Members from the four Houses, each of them carries with the weight of their past in different and distinct ways. But bit by bit they open up to one another until they become some sort of a found family, something different.
Kudos to the whole found-chosen family trope in this fanfic, something we see very different with the Weasley’s (I’m looking at you Mrs. Weasley, I forgive but I don’t forget), but we also see how these students, who are practically adults in the magical world, take in younger students and take care of them as siblings given their experiences in the real world.
It’s a very soft story, one that doesn’t end with just the school year, but we see a little bit more of their lives post-graduation with their work lives, something that is amazing to see in Hermione and Draco’s life choices.
I wholly recommend this fic specially if you are going through a life transition of a very hard time. It’s bittersweet but with a happy ending.

It's set after the second Wizarding War and is set in Hogwarts. It's a great Dramione fan-fiction, but there's a whole slew of HP characters involved in this story, and they're all done very well. Everyone has their own problems and obstacles and we get their stories as well, so saying it's a Dramione fic isn't quite right. Colubrina is one of my favorite fan-fiction writers and I highly recommend anything she writes.
