The Israel Warrior: Fighting Back for the Jewish State from Campus to Street Corner

Rate this book
Are you fed up with the nonstop attacks on Israel that reek of double standards and hatred? With the foul moral equivalency of Jews dying as targets of terrorists and Palestinians dying undertaking acts of terrorism? With the United Nations continuous condemnation of the only democracy in the Middle East, while overlooking the ghastly human rights abuses of its Arab neighbors? With the duplicity of the Western media, which cares more when Israelis add rooms to apartments in East Jerusalem than when over 470,000 Arabs are killed in Syria? There comes a point when we stop and say, Enough. We will no longer tolerate anti-Israel lies. We will stand up for Israel and truth. The goal of this book is to give you the information and the tools you need so that together, we can accomplish this important and urgent task. You will use your knowledge and your wits to fight back in debate, discussion, and dialogue to publicize the justice of Israel s cause. This book is dedicated to the proposition that Israel can and will win the argument in the marketplace of ideas because her greatest commodity is the minds and souls of those who care enough to learn the truth and then, armed with that truth, the courage to take a stand. Become a warrior for Israel.

“A lie left unanswered is somehow, amazingly, interpreted as truth by those who lack the knowledge we assume they should already have.”
“Questioning Israel’s right to exist, for example, is always anti-Semitic.”
“the Jews are forced to take up arms to defend their right to worship God according to their conscience”

Before you read anything that is Pro-Palestinian.
Read these! Read the Israeli Case! Read this Book!

“the New Testament teaches to “love your enemies,” not God’s enemies.”

You will experience the Propoganda yourself, if you move in this way. Read about Palestine, Hamas and everything later on, after you are done with the Israeli Side!
Your brain will crash on yourself.

“Israel is a culture of life while Hamas is a gay-murdering, women honor-killing, deeply misogynistic, stone-age, barbaric, terrorist death cult, dedicated to genocide.”

You will experience how critical thinking is done, how propoganda is done, how narrative is built, how it shapes your beliefs, opinions, ideas, and makes you take action.
You will experience and feel the impact in your body and mind, how and which emotional, rhetorical devices are used.
“Palestinians, have had at least seven opportunities for statehood that they have squandered because of their refusal to recognize Israel as the Jewish state and agree to the establishment of a state coexisting beside Israel.”

Some of the points mentioned in these books are a 100% accurate. Those points are placed so crafty that they are definitely gonna confuse you to core if you haven’t already read the Palestinian case.

“the draft constitution that has been written for a future state explicitly states that Islam will be the state religion. There is nothing inherently wrong with this, and I am a rabbi who believes in religion and celebrates Christians, Muslims, Jews, and others who take their faith seriously. What is problematic, however, is an Islamic state that will not allow for Western style liberties and freedoms. “

There are points given which build the case for Israel, and those points are juxtaposed with arguments that are accurate but subtly irrelevant, hence, throwing you off the cliff.

“For more than nine hundred years, the inhabitants of the area that was to become British-Mandated Palestine never tried to establish an independent state. Instead, they were ruled by foreign entities such as the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire and then by the United Kingdom. There has never been a state known as Palestine, and many people wonder why the Palestinians should get a state when twenty-one Arab states already exist”

For example, Shmuley presents following questions and arguments:

“Israel, it goes without saying, has never tried to systematically wipe out the Palestinians”

“Jewish claim to Israel rests on God’s promises to the Jewish people in the Bible, the most influential document in the history of the world; continuous inhabitance for more than two thousand years; the international endorsement of the Balfour Declaration and the UN Partition Plan; Jewish attachment to the land for more than three millennia; cultivating and settling the land in the modern era; and victory in wars of defense.”

“the Land of Israel was neglected by its Muslim rulers and only became the land of milk and honey described in the Bible after the return of large numbers of Jews to settle the land.”

“Biblical promises, prayers, and religious rituals connect Jews with Israel. During each Passover Seder, Jews around the world say, “Next year in Jerusalem!” And they have been saying those very words for over seven hundred years.”

“Arab people living there, even as recently as one hundred years ago, were not a nation with a connection to the land. A Palestinian state never existed in recorded history.”

“The land these Jews found was not the Biblical land of milk and honey but a desolate, sparsely inhabited backwater of the Ottoman Empire.”

“in September 2013 that 62 percent of Palestinian Muslims agreed that suicide bombing attacks are often or sometimes justified to defend Islam from its enemies”

Unique and differs from books like Dershowitz' The Case for Israel, and Bard's Myths and Facts, this book is a manual of sorts for supporters of Israel. That is, it is not defensive, but offensive; it prosecutes the slanderers rather then meekly justifying israel's self defense. It is the only place where I've seen a plan of action-- not just words-- for the pro Israel groups on campus and elsewhere. For example, have your own "die-ins" to dramatize the practice of honor killings in Palestinian areas, have your own X (fill in the blank) Awareness Day to highlight plight of LGBT in Palestinian Territories, or terror attacks in Israel.
The words and facts are there too, with credit given to Bard's invaluable work. But this book implicitly endorses the idea that Jews have too many defense attorneys and too few prosecutors. It should get the pro Israel camp thinking about doing a more effective job in making their case. And Dershowitz himself calls it a must-read.
