Okay, these books are adorable. Liked this one too. The snowgies are a little annoying but not unbearably. Still would recommend this series for younger readers, especially those who need a little coaxing to read. It has characters they already know and love, it doesn't talk down to them without being over their head, and it's not too long to be intimidating. Would recommend, particularly those who enjoyed Frozen.

This is one of the better books of the series. Anna and Elsa are still annoyingly naive, but it incorporated some new elements which was fun.

Very cute little book, picked it up for a song from a thrift shop because I've been wanting some lighter reading for a while. A pleasure for any Frozen fan.

I didn't really like this book. It just didn't seem right. I thought the story and the characters seemed awkward. The characters didn't really act like themselves and the story seemed thrown together randomly and didn't flow right. Nothing seemed to go as planned in the entire story, and it seemed like every character did everything wrong to mess things up. I just didn't think this was a great story, and I hope the next one is better.

I thought this was a nice story, despite I wish that there was more.

I really liked how they fixed up the castle. I also enjoyed Elsa and Kristoff working together to make ice furniture for the castle! I wish there was more with the ambassadors who were visiting. I was thinking they would play a bigger part since that was what they were preparing for the whole time. I loved how Elsa used her magic to make an ice sleigh as a gift.

Repairs are happening at the Castle with Anna and Elsa recruited by Olaf to help him with important repairs but are they helping or causing more issues before ambassadors from Vakretta arrive. The Ice Palace becomes the new location for the Ambassador's stay with its down issue of Snowgies from Elsa's cold on Anna's birthday. Delightful story with elements of family memories, trying to entertain while everyone's on their best behaviour but with a Royal context.

Read this with my girls during the holidays and they enjoyed it. They said they liked all the previous ones a little more but that this one was still fun.

I liked how when the guests came over to the ice palace, she tried to hide the biggest thing in the palace.

I loved this series as a kid and picked this up as a quick read before bed. These books are absolutely amazing still even as an adult.

This is the eighth installment of the Anna and Elsa series by Disney. Elsa and Anna are hosting some very special guests and they need to make something spectacular to show them. Elsa builds a giant ice castle. The only problem is that her tiny snowgies take over. I would recommend this for fans of Anna and Elsa and the movie Frozen. This installment is a great addition for collections owning others in the series. It is a nice chapter book for casual reading.

David, Erica Return to the Ice Palace (Anna & Elsa #8) 120 pgs. Random House, 2016. $9.99 Content: Language: G (0 swears); Mature Content: G Violence: G

Its spring and the palace needs some repairs. Elsa, Anna, and Olaf try to do some themselves, with some well-intended but not so great results. When they discover the ice palace needs some repairs too, that is something Elsa can handle. There they meet tiny snowmen called snowgies, which turn out to be a whole pile of mischief. When important ambassadors come to the palace, will the snowgies spoil their visit?

This is a fun chapter book for a younger reader (second grade is my best prediction or first grade with some help) and would be fun for a fan of the movie. The cover is glossy and bright and will be sure to catch readers eye. It could function as a read-alone, which is nice for younger readers and for libraries. The original fervor may have cooled but Disney princess books are always popular regardless.

i'd always love the Frozen world but to be a bit cynical, this book seems to position snowy pubescent creatures, 'Snowgies', toward the Minions' audience
